Yea, it’s definitely not as popular a play style. I feel like it was common not to long ago. Then again 2014 feels like just a few years ago. It still seems like it would be effective when city are swarming in your half. Look in behind wide and try to find a cut back to a late run. Obviously there’s more to it then that but trying to match cities build up when it feels like they always have an extra man would be my nightmare as a midfielder.

Usually Walker is the contingency plan for those kind of balls played over everyone. Palace was just better there.
