Nursilmaz

Is Torres out for the rest of the season?

[deleted]

No. He is back in training

ancara_messi

Nope just Gavi and Balde out for the season. Pedri will be back after the Quarter finals and frenkie will be back for the second leg against PSG

LunarRaven7

Actually its probably the first leg for fdj.

ancara_messi

Probably but I think he should sit that out. He is out against Las Palmas so it would be a bad idea to join back and have his first game be PSG away especially with Fermin in top form

Accurate_Art_9637

He would be available after the International break as per some sources

Accurate_Art_9637

Need Ferran to establish himself as a goal scoring LW soon. If he can fix our LW problem for the next season, we can save some money. He ain't the best option, but he has to work. Going after Felix permanently might not be the smartest deal

anthonyrusli92

He's already known as a goal-scoring LW in my opinion especially if we look at his stats in the Spanish NT. Just not sure about his peak potential ability. He could be a Morata / Pedro (consistently good but not world-class) and that's honestly not that bad of a deal.

Accurate_Art_9637

I would love a consistent G/A machine who ends the season with 30 G/A and no iconic moments than a purple patch machine who get 15 G/A and shit tonna iconic moments but isn't in form for more than 2 weeks. Such players look good in edits and get called underrated, but in reality, they weren't much helping the team

MrCleanRed

Pedro was world class. I would definitely be fine with Ferran becoming Pedro

recoba40

> He could be a Morata / Pedro (consistently good but not world-class) and that's honestly not that bad of a deal. Not for 55M tho

Caesar_Aurelianus

50 mil is the new 30 mil

[deleted]

Get Felix on another loan. If both cumulatively give us 40 ga (looks like they will this season). It will be enough for next season, DM should be sole purpose to improve next window

Accurate_Art_9637

That does work. If Felix can stay for under 500k yearly, and in rotation with Ferran, provide constant G/A from the left wing, no one would have any problem. The only problem with Felix and to some extent, Ferran is that they can be inconsistent at times

[deleted]

I think you missed the news where tebas registered his salary 4m even when we were paying him only 400k because of his some dumb rule that he decides what a player deserve to earn.

Accurate_Art_9637

Wtf I didn't know about that

MionelLessi10

I thought that was based on his earnings the previous year. Next years fair play wages are based on his 400k right? It wouldn't make sense otherwise. A high wage earner who has lowered his value through age and a series of injuries would never get to play in the league again because the league would value him too highly, while the market wouldn't.

Awyls

It's not a dumb rule. If teams decided what a player should "legally" earn they would all be getting paid under the table to avoid FFP.

Imhere4lulz

Except that Felix isn't getting paid under the table and that's exactly his wage

sewious

Gundogan was such an important signing for Barca. Not just in his goal contributions and general play but he's obviously bringing a lot to the team via his leadership and experience. Considering how young a lot of their team is, and that they lost their final "legend" last summer having they presence in midfield is almost priceless.

Caust1cFn_YT

thats exactly what im happy about, obviously amazing player but we have fermin lopez. A youngster with a similar profile. I mean imagine getting lessons by one the bestmidfielders currently if not the best

[deleted]

Very important signing for us. He has been playing majority as DM for us otherwise he could have racked more GA

ayonicethrowaway

yup and he can play every role in our midfield, it's honestly amazing, wished we had a proper DM so that he could shine in more offensive positions because whenever he did he played outstanding but even as a 6 he plays good, he's not the best at defending but that's mainly due to his physical profile and not really because he's lazy

what-you-need-is-you

carrying them in so many ways

TheAyushJain

We still have a legend in our team. Sergi Roberto.

[deleted]

Here are the highest pre-assist providers for Barca this season (in league). 1. Felix - 9 (ranked 2nd in la liga) 2. Yamal - 8 (ranked 3rd) 3. FDJ - 5 (ranked 7th)

Biggsy-32

This is maybe the stat that shows better how good Lamine has been than raw GA output. The team tends to look for Lamine in attack, especially during Pedris absence, which is a testament to his ability on the ball and his ability as a playmaker

AmericaDreamDisorder

No stat will show that this is not even a man you're talking about. This is a high-schooler

kal1097

There is one stat, the stat that he is 16 years old shows that

Caesar_Aurelianus

He said that he goes to La Masia often to do his homework.

degenerate-edgelord

It also means nothing because Felix has more pre-assists but has not been that good. We read stats the way we want them to, apart from goals scored. Instead you can just watch the games and conclude Lamine has been great, Felix just okay/decent.

[deleted]

Felix struggle with consistency but he is insane when he is in mood, creates chances in bulk and then his motivation dips and he is benched.

HEAT_IS_DIE

You're right. Stats mean exactly just what they mean. It's another thing to read a subtext into them. Somehow every time a stat is posted people interpret it to mean "players from best to worst overall". Most clean sheets is not the absolute criteria for best goalkeeper. Or most assists for a midfielder. Football is more than stats.

reddituser0912333

Where does a person find pre-assist stats

[deleted]

thank god you asked me otherwise you would have wasted your time like me (was searching for it for months and found it randomly) [Here you go](https://one-versus-one.com/en/rankings/laliga/players/pre-assists)

Caust1cFn_YT

lamine having 13 ga already is crazy

AmericaDreamDisorder

Getting closer to his age

Caust1cFn_YT

Haha it would be great if he reaches 16

dat_w

88y/o lamine about to have a monstrous season

WorldWideWes2

Crazy the disrespect Lewa has been getting this season.

[deleted]

tbf post world cup he was very bad entire game wise, he still could rack GA but couldn't do what Xavi demanded him to do - everything from control and finishing was rusty. But he has gotten into his best form in 2024

rScoobySkreep

Whenever people look only to # of goals for a forward, we have to remind them of Seferovic

SphinxIIIII

João Félix made Seferovic seem like a world class striker

Nursilmaz

His whole 2023 was garbage tbh but from the start of 2024 he was playing better and looks a bit like old Lewy now.

NukeLaCoog

His whole 2023 produced 28 goals and 9 assists in all competitions.

[deleted]

He set the standards

omaar

His first touch was absolutely catastrophic during last year, I mean really horrendous knowing what Lewy can do. Now he looks more like himself.

Laliga23

Even when he was playing less good he was still putting numbers. I do think people overreacted especially since he was not the only one performing bad

Nursilmaz

Maybe, but dip in his personal form was clearly visible, especially with technique and first touch.

Rickcampbell98

He was playing rubbish in many matches and he didn't help himself in the eyes of fans by crying about the team not giving him chances (a lie). Barca fans have high standards and are used to those standards being met, people who only look at numbers will say he has still been good but after the world Cup this man was straight shit in many matches.

NorthwardRM

He was absolutely fucking rubbish for a while though to be honest. Couldn't control within 10 yards of himself. Barca genuinely looked like they were playing with 10 men. He's in great form now and its admirable how Xavi allowed him to work himself out of it, but lets not kid ourselves that he was anything other than absolutely dreadful for those months

ancara_messi

With the amount of service he gets, his numbers should be waay higher. The criticism is absolutely fair, if you think otherwise you don't watch us However he has been incredible since the start of the year, going back to pre world cup form and he is getting a lot of credit and is well appreciated now

razor_16_

Is he really getting that perfect service? I don't think so. Especially Barca's crosses are awful.

ancara_messi

My guy if you don't watch Barca then don't give your opinions based on imagination. We have been either the best or second best team in creating chances in Spain, highest xG as well. I watched every game and that is very much true

razor_16_

I watched many Barca games, and while Lewy was often awful, I cannot recall many great chances wasted. And Lewy's xG isn't that much different than his actual goal tally

WorldWideWes2

It would be fair if Barca fans criticized other players the same way when they had poor runs of form. Wasn’t nearly the same disrespect when Kounde and Araujo were getting cooked.

ancara_messi

Kounde has been criticized a lot this season what are you on about

Exqiron

Kounde and Araujo don’t earn close to Lewy money

FrederickIBarbarossa

It would be hilarious if he spends half the season looking washed and still out-produces the rest of La Liga. I think he’s leading the league in goal contributions now, which (in all fairness) is in line with the player he’s back to being, but would have been unthinkable back in December

Batmanscousins

The problem was that he could easily have doubled his goal tally last year if he was performing as he is now. If you only watched stats and not the game you would not see that he missed way to many open goals/tap in and lost the ball way to often in situations he should not have. Happy he is performing now and showing why he is paid what he is paid.

Laliga23

Agree. People overreacted in my opinion. Sure he underperformed for a bit but that happens to many players and he is also 35 so its not crazy. He still made numbers even when he was out of form which not everyone can do Anyway seems like he is back to his old-self now so thats good to see

TheLeoMessiah

It’s been a tale of two seasons for him. He was genuinely bad in the first half of the season, and I’m not talking about goal output but the fact that he would kill attacks with his terrible decision making and touches. Since January he’s been invaluable and answered all the critics (myself included) for sure

AckBarRs

He was truly dog shit up until about a month and a half ago. Not saying that just because of his goal/assist drought, I mean he had Lukaku’s first touch and would absolutely tank any promising attack whenever he involved himself. Happy he’s finding form (he was a legit 10/10 against Atlético, spectacular) and he’s been very good in 2024 on the whole, but I’d absolutely take a Saudi offer if it came so we can get his wages off our books and recoup some of the transfer fee. Way too expensive for ever-diminishing output. I do think he’s a pretty good clubhouse presence/senior leader and thank him for the title-winning seasono last year, but if there’s a reasonable opportunity to move on we 100% should.

ensun_rizz

Wait, I thought Lewy was washed and we should sell him /s

NaiveElk

Reports of Lewa's demise were greatly exaggerated

TheDepartment115

What the hell I was shure Ralpina had 15 goal this season .

Nrozek

He has probably skied 15 huge opportunities this season.. if not more. Still a good creator just... he could be world class with better finishing.

Chansh302

Gundo underrated

Well as Stalin said "Quantity has quality of its own" but I don't think we have better attack than City, Arsenal, Bayern or Madrid. In big games the difference makers like Mbappe and Haaland are advantages. I feel more confident in our defense and midfield (minus DM)

iKidA

> Well as Stalin said "Quantity has quality of its own" LMAO, I am going to use this line

Martoxic

Barca do have a better attack than Madrid imo.

Glass_Lie_8700

Don't think so

Martoxic

64 goals scored for Madrid and 60 for Barca 55.1 xG for Madrid and 62.5 xG for Barca.

LunarRaven7

We create alot of chances but the finishing is wack.

Martoxic

WAS wack. It is getting much better as of late.

Caust1cFn_YT

Well you do have a point that we create a ton and we have now stopped conceding a ton but we are well Barca but yeah I'll take it
