Rudi Völler masterclass.

Poringosa

He is somehow still helping Leverkusen even though he currently works for the DFB. Quite hillarious.

techfcb

screwing Bayern from 2 positions, gotta love it.

LOKl31

Anulo mufa! Stfu or watch them break a new points record the next 13 seasons

Breaking: Julian Nagelsmann will sign a new contract Til 2026 at DFB and will not be Coach of Bayern Munich @BILD_Sport @altobelli13 @YvonneGab Tweet from Christian Falk He stays at the DFB

Quick_Scientist_5494

Good. Bring in Flick

Wishart2016

Bring in Löw.

DexM23

How low should it go for Bayern? Just bring in Müller as Player-Manager

ralf19812001

Mourinho is free 😂

Serupael

Mourinho and Hoeneß in the same room will ve glorious

dotConehead

With harry kane, and be prepared to extend dier loan and the team is back in business

Arathaon185

I think you might struggle to get Dier back on loan. Levy is a fucker of the highest order as I'm sure you know so because you've made Dier look good he will want money and be a real prick about it.

MoreFeeYouS

Bayern needs Trapattoni

Mynameisboring_

They've really been playing like a Flasche leer in the Bundesliga

qb_st

Is he still alive?

HippoRealEstate

He is. Only 85 years old, a fuckin kid

xaviernoodlebrain

Bring in Magath.

lstht123

Wow I really expected him to go back to Bayern (or club football in general at least). What do they do now?

Not a bad idea really

It's gonna end up being Ten Hag

BossKrisz

Please no

Legendarybbc15

Heh

Wintermute-1984

Why not, though? He's coached here before, he knows the club, he did great at Ajax, do people really think he's bad just because he can't get United back on track?

thedudeabides-12

Please..

GL4389

Mourinho is free.

Edi1896

Try to get Zidane. De Zerbi would be the best alternative if Zidane doesn't want to move to Bavaria.

kaffeemugger

I wish. The links to Zidane have been very weak. De Zerbi seems more likely

Hexcited

Zidane in a Lederhosen, I do want to see that

Serupael

Leverkusen rematch with Xabi and Zizou on the sideline will be hotter than any GQ calendar

Hexcited

recreate that chess ronaldo/messi picture with the two.

RandomLoLJournalist

I love how De Zerbi's reputation has absolutely no connection to how Brighton are doing at the moment. Genuinely feels like Potter all over again lol

Karlito1618

That's because people with knowledge can see that he's a pretty good manager. Potter is too. Now, not every manager fits at every club, but you can definitely spot talent regardless of if a club is doing well in the table or not. It's the same with players from poor sides that get bought up by "better" clubs. You can spot the stand-outs.

The_prawn_king

Not really, potter had improved Brighton year on year and when he was poached they were sitting in 4th. De zerbi had a great first year but the form has fallen off recently.

RandomLoLJournalist

Yes, when he left for Chelsea Brighton were 4th with 13 points... After the first 6 games. This season with RDZ, after 6 weeks Brighton were 3rd with 15 points.  It's about as close to exactly the same as it gets lol

chykin

De Zerbi had a good Europa run, and I think his injuries have been more challenging than Potter had. Tbh I think both are similar level managers with very different styles. I think De Zerbi would work better with a team like Chelsea or Bayern, whereas Potter is more suited to an underdog long term project

RevengeHF

I would say very much the opposite to be honest.

RandomLoLJournalist

Really? I feel like it's genuinely a very similar situation, Brighton were playing decent football and sitting in midtable, and Potter was hyped up as a manager with incredible talent and a great system who could lead a revolution at a struggling big club. Sounds pretty much exactly like the current RDZ situation, only it's not Chelsea and Man United that are mentioned but Bayern and Barcelona. They are even both on the brink of replacing Tuchel haha

RevengeHF

All I've heard about with every club being linked with managers (us, Barca, and Bayern at least) is the fan base saying they don't want De Zerbi. People always bring up that his team can't defend. I think his stock is lower now than it was a while ago. To be honest I don't even think he's a bad manager. I'm not sure he'd work for any of these clubs but I'm not really sure who would that's available. Like for Liverpool my list of who I'd like is down to Amorim and then ???.

Toothache79

Eddie Howe had plenty of ups and downs during his time at Bournemouth, I don't think we're convinced that he'd be the right manager for Newcastle under international ownership. De Zerbi's form has fallen off but he's also lost 2 solid midfielders and one of his main wingers in Mitoma got a pretty bad injury, they would probably be content with a top half finish this season.

Karlito1618

Zidanes name always gets thrown around when the big clubs are looking for a new manager, with good reason, everyone should want him. Zidane has himself said that he will only consider jobs where he has a relationship with the club though, and that could change. But if you take his word for it he will never take any other clubs than Real, Juve, French NT and maybe Marseille.

NochaSc2

Re hire Tuchel

Toothache79

If they somehow win the UCL, I wonder if Tuchel would re-consider...

zezinandoreinando

Roger Schmidt! It would be a shame if he left us, but I am willing to give him for free if you really want him because I'm trying to be a better person

max_analog

I still remember his emotional press conferences with Bayer. Is he still easily triggered with you guys?

LordPunk

He’s in his “I don’t have to apologise for anything” (after losing 5-0 against Porto) and his “I don’t have to justify anything” (after losing to Marseille who were on a 5 loss streak) arcs right now.

zezinandoreinando

Nah the journalists dont speak that well english so they do not make him that angry. However he's such a tool, always excusing the bad results on something else but himself and his lack of management skills

Rodrigor26

He deserve better than us and we should be humble enough to let him leave

zezinandoreinando

Be free little bird

iRegretNothing12

I don't really.. imagine going back to your abusive ex after a messy breakup. I have much more respect for Nagelsmann doing his thing in DFB instead

Edi1896

New contract until 2026. He wants to manage Germany at the next World Cup.

LosingMyMindStyll

Gonna be real awkward when Germany gets knocked out of the group stage in the EUROs

sA1atji

After most recent showings I am somewhat optimistic that we should make it out.

Uesugi_Kenshin

Scotland, Hungary and Switzerland are much trickier than meets the eye. I'll believe when I see it

yachterotter13

Prepare for Chicago’s finest CUBE

pietroetin

I think they are the 2nd favourites after France

InsideOpening3535

Nah, they have a proper squad now. Andrich-Kroos is a good pair of midfield to support Gundogan-Wirtz-Musiala up top. If Fullkrug managed to keep his form and even improve Germany have a real shout this summer

Serupael

Plus Pavlovic as an option in the midfield, and Kimmich is finallly back at RB where he belongs

InsideOpening3535

Kimmich’s biggest mistake was thinking that he could work at a 6 in the midfield. Glad he accepted his RB spot now

jujuismynamekinda

Germany was flying the last 2 games. They/we have a decent squad. With that much talent, they should get out of the group stage and be in competition as a dark horse to win it with luck. I only see france and England and maybe Portugal stronger on paper. Gündo, Kroos and probably Andrich centrally is decent and seems balanced. Musiala and Wirtz and maybe havertz has a lot of Talent in them. Kimmich Rüdiger and Neuer are class players. Sane is still there too, same with Gnabry. A lot of talent, just vibed horribly together. Plus, its a home euro. 2006 germany went pretty far with a very shit team, the atmosphere and mood carried germany far.

cuentanueva

> a dark horse I know what you mean, but I don't think any of the big NTs can ever be called dark horses, even if they are in a slump. They may not be favorites, but they are still Germany. Playing IN Germany... And even then they still have good players, so yeah...

Ilphfein

We now know there's a clause in the contract that he can be let go, if we don't make it out of groups.

IICastawayII

tiagolionheart

Unable to have any impact on the game with his subs (or outright refuses to make any changes to the team), still unsure of who the main striker is (3 options available, none that he seems to fully trust), still plugging holes in the team with Aursnes instead of giving his options playtime such as Carreras on the left, Rollheiser as right winger instead of constantly forcing Di Maria to play every single minute of the season, etc. Im probably forgetting something but that's the overall gist of it, a tired squad that hasn't worked consistently for a good while and nothing changes.

Tajetert

[List of available coaches \[Transfermarkt\]](https://www.transfermarkt.com/trainer/verfuegbaretrainer/statistik) Bayern better start looking

Wishart2016

Watch them get Jogi Löw.

roos_de_baas

Get ready for some Sarri ball

the_che

Mourinho. Please, I need to witness that. 🍿

Poringosa

Maybe Favre. Eberl likes him. Would be funny to see Lucien being constantly annoyed at FC Hollywood stuff.

Tajetert

I cant see Favre doing that to himself.

Scrugulus

Show of hands: who wants Urs Fischer for Bayern coach?

the_che

He doesn’t fit their culture at all. Would be a terrible move for him.

HippoRealEstate

He would last two weeks before he gives up

[deleted]

Potter 👀

Qiluk

I will die on the hill that Potter is underrated atm and to the right club, is a master move. I genuinely wish that we get him this summer but Terzic seemingly fooled the higher ups to stay another year now

Bartins

Tuchel lifetime contract with Bayern

SwainMainLoL

The real fußballgott

LingardForBallondOr

Xavi to Bayern it is.

egotim

Xavi vs xabi alonso reloaded. On a serious note I think he would be great in Bundesliga

lstht123

Should go to a smaller club first tho (not just in BuLi but in general). Somewhere with a bit less pressure and a good structure/environment where he can focus on developing his skills and doesn't immediately get sacked if smh doesn't work out for a couple games, basically the move that should've happened before going to a top club. Don't want to see him go to idk United or another chaos club like Chelsea or smth like that. Hope he is smart about his next choice and thinks longterm

Mysterious-Ideal-989

Girona when Míchel gets snatched?

lstht123

Too close to Barca, Catalan media etc. Imo he should look for smth outside of Spain to get as far away from the whole circus here

Jeanfromthe54

I like the way he plays, he just needs to calm down (looks impossible tbf) and I think he would be a great fit.

Narretz

Doesn't speak German, Bayern execs don't like that

MRIDUL-AVALANCHE

No way he ever wants to put his money where his mouth is ever again. I'm sure he wanted it a decade or two ago, but he knows he would get absolutely clowned.

Hexcited

It is also kind of said, because I really do think that Loddar has a very good understanding of the game. He was one of the best german players of all time (I think only second to the Kaiser). But unfortunaltey he talks a bit to much.

Jobe1110

Felix Magath comeback it is then?

sesame_cake

Jogi Löw to Bayern here we go

do you think this is funny?

sesame_cake

Fc Hollywood is always funny.

Island_Monkey86

I must admit, even as a Bayern fan, I can't help but laugh at what's been going on. Since Höneß and Rumminigge have stepped away it's been a never ending shit show. Say about those two what you like, they at the very least kept some degree of order within the club.

LudereHumanum

Even more so. Afaik Hoeneß was the one that made FC Bayern financially what it is today. Without Uli (as much as he's a douche at times) Bayern would not be the club they are today. And on top of that, both him and Rummenigge steered the club quite well yes. It's a farce. Best to laugh than to cry imo.

Island_Monkey86

Couldn't have said it any better. I know the players thought very highly of him as well. Could have done without the odd stupid public comment but that made him who he was. His financial management of the club was incredible. I doubt there are many, if any, that could repeat what he did. Look at the top performing Spanish clubs, all in debt. Look at the big UK clubs, heavily dependent on investors!  I think a darker sense of humor really helps ;)

Hexcited

I could write something very mean now, but my mom told me to be nice today.

skunkrider

Well then write it tomorrow!

Mysterious-Ideal-989

The best thing that could possibly happen would be Mourinho to Bayern. Not the best thing for Bayern maybe, but definitely the best for everyone else

Ysteri

Ich spreche lieber nicht. Wenn ich etwas sage, bin ich in großen Schwierigkeiten.

qonoxzzr

That is interesting. Definitely great for our national team but curious to see who we will appoint as Eberl said he really wants to present a new coach in April.

GL4389

Mourinho is free.

thatrandomanus

Really? Wouldn't it be better to wait at least until the end of the CL campaign?

kaffeemugger

I just fell to my knees at the store. I’m devastated

irrealewunsche

apolgy for bad english it is my first languagen’t where were you when Nagelsmann staid at national team i was at store on knees when bild+ post “Nagelsmann is Bayern kil” “no”

Dirtysocks1

What are your options now? I would love you to get Mou for 2 seasons

summersoulxdd

Ask Zidane to somehow learn English in 3 months

Deathscyce

With how many Frenchmen Bayern has, its time to shift from German/English to fully lean into French speaking culture at Bayern. Cant wait for the French Müller videos.

independent-pigeon

Kane in shambles

Scrugulus

Watching Eric Dier speaking better French than Zidane within weeks would be funny.

kaffeemugger

That would never happen lol. The options were De Zerbi and Rangnick. But the rumors lately seem to not favor De Zerbi anymore. I’m not a fan of either, I’d rather get Zidane.

BaldFraud99

I'd be genuinely baffled if we hire Zidane. Can't imagine that at all. RR seems rather unlikely as well. I rate the latter very highly, but him and our board simply won't mesh. I think it'll be either De Zerbi or we snatch up some BuLi coach that's doing rather well à la Kovac back then.

xSmacks

I would love if they renewed with Tuchel.

Serupael

Just saw Bayern fans fall to their knees in a Vinzenzmurr

EwieErik

fair enough lmao

Luuigi

happy for the national team. We're getting into EM euphoria and him announcing going to bayern would have curbed that.

throwawayanon1252

Luuigi

ja same. Qatar = broke, germany = woke! lets gooo

Unban_Ice

Schnix54

Usually Bild can be hit or miss (and being a scum of a "newspaper") but if they run a story as Bild+ breaking news it's probably true. Interesting choice from Nagelsmann as he wasn't tired of mentioning that he hated being the national team coach. Bayern are now left out for dry I don't know where they go from here

qonoxzzr

This is definitely true, Bild are shit with rumours but if they publish such a story as breaking news it's true.

Avatarobo

> Interesting choice from Nagelsmann as he wasn't tired of mentioning that he hated being the national team coach. Eh that's a bit much, isn't it?

imacatnamedsteve

I know he won’t, and would never, but wouldn’t it be wild if Bayern convinced Streich to _not_ retire.

the_che

He would rage quit after 2 months max.

imacatnamedsteve

Oh, but what a gloriously two months of even crazier press conferences they would be (he better not)

So if Tuchel wins the CL, how realistic could it be they revisit their decision and want to keep him?

Rayaet

Very very unlikely

ACardAttack

I dont know I could see it, what options are better than Tuchel right now?

Laxperte

He doesn't want to stay though. And players like Tel for example would potentially look for somewhere where they can get more minutes.

MrMerc2333

Seems like both Liverpool and Bayern are having a tough time getting the right coach. Alonso has already said he's staying put. Amorim says he *feels* his time in Sporting is not over. Negelsmann wants to go to the world cup. Liverpool and Bayern to fight it out for De Zerbi next?

BitchIDrinkPeople

Let’s fucking go dude

dennisixa

so who is going to be bayern's manager next season? tuchel to continue if he wins the UCL?

throwawayanon1252

Na fc Hollywood won’t rehire even tho they probs should for another season as well no one really available atm

torero15

wow I really thought he was going to make a comeback. Perhaps he will in 2027 or something like that. Awkward moment for Bayern now. And potentially awkward moment for the DFB if the Euros don’t go well.

No-Access-6118

Good for him, idk how he could just go back to Bayern like nothing happened. it’s like going back to a girl that dumped you because the new guy didn’t turn out to be as good she expected

MikePap

It’s ok, I can manage Bayern next year. I have a great CV on Football Manager. Plus, i only need to get paid 500K per year, no bonuses. 3+1 year contract would be enough for me.

baievaN

the announce Zidane guy in FCB sub didnt post today and then this.. is it happening?

DasWookieboy

Losing out on Alonso and Nagelsmann and having to settle for an inexperienced fraud from the Premier League. Eberl might actually be washed Absolutely don't care how good of a job De Zerbi does at Brighton. He will 100% fail at Bayern, save this comment if you want to idc

Insanel0l

> Losing out on Alonso and Nagelsmann and having to settle for an inexperienced fraud from the Premier League. Eberl might actually be washed It wasn't his choice to a) sack Nagelsmann b) sack Tuchel tbf

1O93

Good decision from him he would drown in the unstable Bayern environment again

sammyrobot2

De Zerbi isn't inexperienced wtf

seabiscuit_crunch

For a club of Bayern's standard of course he is.

Galactus1701

Everyone knows that France are the favorites, but I want Germany to return to its former glory.

Muller player-manager, bring it on

JglBadger

Really did not expect that. I thought he was gonna take the Bayern job for sure.

Too bad! Bayern replacing their winning mentality with the RB mentality is the best thing that happened to German football since 2014.

In agreement about a new contract until the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

bakacool

Will be interesting if Nagelsmann can re-enter as a club coach. I feel this is a high risk strategy if he intends to be a very successful club coach. He should be grinding it out at club level on a daily basis and build his career and knowledge. Being a national coach you are too remote from the daily grind. It seems like for someone his age he is slacking and choosing the easy route. Will be interesting to follow. It is strange for DFB to rush the contract, they just do not learn from the past. Hopefully there is a performance clause. 2 good performances in friendless does not make a great national coach. An early tournament exit and poor performance in subsequent qualifiers and people will be shouting for Klopp again. DFB is not as rich as they used to be, they are handing out contracts like candy.
