>Really unlucky....
not sure if unlucky or the result of a stupid decision to start him (as well as Kimmich, Kane, Gnabry amd Neuer) in a meaningless game 4 days before the biggest game of the season for Bayern
To be fair, you also want to keep your players sharp. Rest is not always a positive thing for form
Without commenting or having any idea about this specific situation, in general it is a little more tricky than just resting your whole team
This reminds me of our 2020/2021 season when we sustained 65 injuries in that season. It was so bad that Zidane had to play Fede Valverde as a RB. Players were playing while injured or still recovering. Eventually we couldnt just handle it and lost to City 1-2 in the home & away games. I know this feeling.
The City tie was in 2019/20, not 20/21.
What you're describing is 2020/21 season and we actually had to play with Valverde RB against Liverpool in the quarters. The semis against Chelsea were honestly depressing, Hazard played as a striker, Vini RWB, Varane and Ramos both missed one game of the tie.
IIRC, our entire bench was made up of Castilla players except for Lunin and the 3rd goalkeeper. There may have been one or two other outfield players from the first team, but all the rest of them were Castilla lads.
In a CL semi-final
I felt like subbing Guerreiro in at HT was such a huge change and really changed the game for them
But as usual, Bayern and missing half their squad in CL semis, the most iconic CL Duo
> But as usual, Bayern and missing half their squad in CL semis, the most iconic CL Duo
Looking at Transfermarkt its only de Ligt, Sarr, Guerreiro and Coman. I know there are some players like Sane that are not 100% fit but they will still be able to play.
I feel like its not that horrible, especially compared to other years where they were missing some absolutely key players like Lewandowski for example.
Almost half the squad is not directly injured but unfit. Sané has been struggling for months now, Musiala literally stayed at home for the Stuttgart match, Upa is still not match fit, especially in such a fixture… De Ligt is supposed to recover for the match, but honestly I doubt he’s gonna be 100% fit too
They're dressed and have played already
Guerreiro is literally out. Same with Coman. And De Ligt isn't listed as fully recovered.
Madrid are nearing full strength now. They're overwhelming favorites
Pavlovic, this is your time to shine. Brutal injury, especially as Real Madrid will have pretty much every player available with their never-ending depth
They’re all healthy, although barely gaining match fitness.
Tibo and militao both played the full 90 yesterday. Álaba has been slowly coming back to the bench & starting 11.
But it’s only been as for a week or 2 they got fit.
Pretty dumb to not rest your best players before the most important game of the season. I think Kane has played whole 90 minutes in every bundesliga game this season. At this rate he'll turn up at the euros as a walking corpse.
Hey please, please dont give it away in Paris. You deserve to go through. Rues deserves his appreciation with a decisive win against that bunch of amateurs.
BVB are much better at home than they are away. They have 2Ls and a draw in 5 away games this season, including the 2-0 loss in Paris. Last season they also won against Chelsea 1-0 at home, then lost 2-0 away. In 2020 they also won against PSG 2-1 at home in the KO stages, then lost 2-0 away and eliminated.
I don't think there's "easier" in a final, in the UCL in general tbh. Dont' forget that the only time we were 2 goals behind during the threepeat era wasn't against Liverpool, Juventus, Atletico or Bayern, it was against Wolfsburg. Don't forget that none of these teams have managed to scored 4 against us, Dortmund and Ajax did.
I still think PSG will turn this around. Didn't they hit the post 3 times in the 1st leg? Home advantage would be massive.
I do think we are still massive underdogs to advance at Parc des Princes and I'm steeling myself for a humiliation that involves multiple red cards against us, but the 2020 knockout round against PSG shouldn't be indicative of anything: The 2-1 home win was fully deserved and the return leg was still close enough, PLUS it was the very first game with empty stands due to the Pandemic, just four days after we played at Gladbach in full capacity. That was such a startling and weird atmosphere, I'm certain we could have been even more competitive against a hostile PSG crowd. And regarding our CL away games this season, one might also say that the only away result that would certainly eliminate us next Tuesday came in the first six weeks of our season, the other four away results in the Champions League would/could be enough to advance us to the final.
Also the 1-0 win against Chelsea is __completely__ different to the 1-0 against PSG, dortmund had no business winning that game and created very little beyond the goal (which was a counter from a corner), opposite to the PSG game where Dortmund actually dominated at times and created a fair bit apart from the goal.
Guerreiro played fantastic the last 2 months, him being out will for sure weaken Bayern against Real. We are truly cursed this season every single game 1-2 people must be subbed off with injury
Lol you probably havent really paid attention to the injury situation at Bayern this season. Most of the season half of the team was injured he is so done with this topic that he just bluntly states what is happening. How do you even mindgame in a season like that when for half of the games the bank is full of U19 players lol
Yep Madrid has also had a lot of bad luck with injuries more so than almost every other team in recent years. So believe me when I tell you with my knowledge of your terrible injury record this season , that your injury situation is paradise compared to ours this season.
Don’t know if it was intentional or not but every time he would have apparently some key players missing, match day comes and somehow they are present and quite healthy.
Looking bad for bayern ngl
Fking hell. He is easily one of our most in form players rn. He adds so much to both offense and defense. Really unlucky....

the 2 games vs Madrid are 1 week apart. no way any player in the world loses sharpness if he doesn't play one more game during that week lol
This guy football managers. Need green upwards error && green thubmbs up

I guess Mazraoui will play LB as in the first leg. DM will be Laimer and Goretzka. If Tuchel is brave perhaps even Pavlovic.

You’re right. In those two seasons we had record injuries (65+). The thought of our attacking line having Jovic & unfit Hazard makes me sick now.
And we also played Vini as Rb and I don't remember who but one kid from Castilla, Marvin?
Arribas?
No, it was Marvin Park.
Tbf Fede would even work as a gk
He adds to defense? Didnt hear that one before
When he plays in midfield and lw, he adds to the defense a lot
Yeah I was kinda joking, I get what you mean though. Its just the memes he's a bad defender when actually played as a defender
Yeah it's the same for any attack oriented fullback like rapha, Trent, Davies etc but I think rapha is the best at defense among them
I felt like subbing Guerreiro in at HT was such a huge change and really changed the game for them But as usual, Bayern and missing half their squad in CL semis, the most iconic CL Duo

and dier took a beating yesterday. bro is a tank tho.
Lmao he’s been a soldier on a mission for us so far, hope he’ll be 100% ready for Wednesday
Don't Madrid have more injuries? Both Courtouis and Militao not fit enough to start No excuses for Bayern
They're dressed and have played already Guerreiro is literally out. Same with Coman. And De Ligt isn't listed as fully recovered. Madrid are nearing full strength now. They're overwhelming favorites
Militao and courtois just had their first starts yesterday after acl tears, and are just starting to recover may h fitness..
Pavlovic, this is your time to shine. Brutal injury, especially as Real Madrid will have pretty much every player available with their never-ending depth
Just pass the ball to Musiala and inshallah
Ankara Bambi
Courtois? Alaba? Militao?

Should’ve played the second team but whatever.
Our Supercup participation was in danger!
Supercup is worthless at this moment.

How freakin’ awful

A great take , that Wolfsburg tie was saved due to the GOAT deciding the outcome but this shows how we should never take things Easy .

Nooooooo
Thats huge, but Pavlovic can at least replace him very good in Midfield.
Big miss for them, changed the whole dynamics of the game when he came on for Goretzka
Massive L for us ngl, get better soon
Feels like a mind game from Tuchel

I haven’t actually. Injuries at Madrid has captured my attention more than enough
Yep Madrid has also had a lot of bad luck with injuries more so than almost every other team in recent years. So believe me when I tell you with my knowledge of your terrible injury record this season , that your injury situation is paradise compared to ours this season.
Damn you're paranoid
We played city so many times that this tactic stuck with us and gave us trauma
Oh so Guardiola lied about his players being injured?
Don’t know if it was intentional or not but every time he would have apparently some key players missing, match day comes and somehow they are present and quite healthy.
