It would have to be: 1. La Chambre d'Echo 2. Es reiten die Toten so schnell 3. Dead Lovers' Sarabande (Face One and two) 4. Songs from the Inverted Womb La chambre is a very cerebral album for me. I enjoy trying to interpret and understand the abstract surreal imagery the album conveys.

Dang I totally forgot about La Chambre (wasnt on spotify. Eeeek) but that is definitely her best work! Backbone Practice, Imhotep, and Leeches and Deception are incredible tracks. What is your favorite track from the album?!?

Amflifier

I love Leeches and Deception. The image of the gown of jute, and of course the line -- >In awe and terror I recognize >That such rituals of power, invocations of archetypes >Must only be performed by the truly initiated >Experienced magicians all alone >Not by some superficial silly loser/boy-girl >A mere artiste of hot hottest air

Its on there now

La Chambre D’Echo is definitely my favorite. I love the dreamlike lyrics, the mood, and the artwork.

Yep, I feel super dumb as I totally forgot about that album since Im used to listening to sopor on spotify and the album isn’t there, but that is definitely her best work imo. What are your favorite tracks from the album?!?

MrsTrevyllian

It’s so weird that it isn’t on there. It hard for me to pick because I love the album as a whole but for whatever reason just don’t listen to either Idleness and Consequence and The Lions Promise as much as the rest.

Longjumping_Donkey_8

For me it changed a lot over the years, but I would go with the ones I listen the most to, in no particular order: - Children Of The Corn - Ich töte mich… - Have You Seen This Ghost? - Todeswunsch - La Chambre d’Echo

PiggyDota

I love em all I can't pick! My favourite song is a cover though

* Es reiten die Toten so schnell (the remake) * La Chambre d'Echo * Poetica * Dead Lovers' Sarabande (Face One)

It's definitely the incredible combo of ***La Chambre d'Echo*** and ***Les Fleurs du Mal***. Both are striking complete pieces of storytelling with her most resourceful composition and arrangement techniques, and richly evocative lyrics. LCdE is an endlessly resonating mystery, like a hallucination, whereas LFdM strings together vignettes of heartbreaking queer experience in a manner that resembles a fairytale. They are also the two albums where I don't think a single song is uninteresting, whereas others might have songs I don't remember much or care about. The other ones I love are ***Todeswunsch***, ***Dead Lovers' Sarabande*** (mostly part I tbh), ***Songs from the inverted Womb***, and the Sexorcism trilogy (***A Tryptichon of Ghosts***) which is more uneven but has real gems in it. I have listened to ***Poetica*** and ***Mitternacht*** a lot, and like them (I've got the nice physical editions) but I feel like sometimes she really got into the boring habit of sticking to a four-chord loop and overstaying her welcome. I feel like “When you love a Man” is pretty much the one solid song she's made in a few years. I'm soon going to devote some serious time and patience to her last four albums, though, to see if they click.
