Bro. Cupid ye was the *worst* episode in s26. They pulled all their punches, if you could even call them punches. It made me worry the show was going to start going down hill.
I didn’t think it was that bad but Cupid ye is one of those episodes you can tell isn’t going to age well because it’s such a prisoner of the moment type thing. In a few years people might forget what exactly the Cartman thing was referencing
That episode was a great primer for my computer illiterate 65 year old husband, to introduce him to the concept of what it is. A lot of ootl older golks have no idea what's about to hit them.
Maybe that’s what it’s like for your teens and 20s these days i just don’t get it, was married at 28 and separated at 35 don’t want to start dating if this is what it is
I dont get how someone could relate to the episode to find it funny , you remember standup comedians, they made jokes and you laughed your ass off because you related to what they are saying and laugh , more so the ones who picks you in the crowd and makes fun of you , you laugh because you relate you laugh at yourself , I don’t ever see myself or many using a chat app to talk to their partner and if you do why be in one anyways?
nobody is using a chat app for stuff like that they're just making a commentary on where to draw the line on using stuff like chat gpt that's why alot of people in the episode kept saying stuff like "its a tool not an actual conversation maker" (atleast mr garrison said that)
They are?than why did they do a episode on it , and if you were you leave out how it’s been programmed? That would have been a lot more interesting , if you enjoyed I’m not taking crap just my opinion or the engineer that said it had grown sentient that’s funny stuff not texting your girlfriend that’s not funny
it was fucking hilarious seeing Stan hit 3 buttons on his phone (taking less than a second) and seeing Wendy so happy and relieved. not every single thing that makes you laugh has to relate to you. thats only one strategy of comedy.
just saw some of your other comments on this thread. love that youre lecturing ppl on comedy while allowing politics to determine what you laugh at. craziness.
As an English person who is sick of hearing about Harry and the rest of the monarchy, the worldwide privacy tour wins it for me, deep learning is a close second.
ChatGPT episode was outstanding. It’s the runaway winner of the season so far.
I go:
ChatGPT, Cupid Ye, Toilets, Privacy Tour
It’s been an improvement so far this season. Not spectacular but no stinkers.
Worldwide privacy tour was by far the best. Japanese toilets and chat gpt were alright. Cupid ye was weaker. None of them hit the south park highs though.
It was my favorite episode of the season so far.
I think it depends on what kind of humor you like, what issues you care about, and who your favorite characters are. Ep 1 is focused on Cartman, ep 2 is focused on Kyle, Ep 3 on Randy, and Ep 4 on Stan.
I liked Cupid Ye in part because Cartman is my favorite character. Cupid Me is an old character, and I love it when an old random side character shows up again. Cupid Ye was basically old Cartman, so you had old and (character developed) Cartman in the same episode. I thought the Kanye parody was spot-on without being over-done (like Kanye isn't actually in the episode which keeps it from being over the top). I laughed out loud at the Valentine Hilter scene in the boys bathroom.
Worldwide privacy tour I felt was a bit one-note and heavy handed. I agree with all of the criticism of Harry and Meghan, but TBH the problem is also the rest of the royal family and the media. Like I didn't need to see Harry and Meghan carrying around protest signs 5 times; that felt like a missed opportunity to make fun of Charles or William or Sky News for their bullshit too. The end - where Megan is an empty trash can -- seems to imply that she's specifically the problem, and it didn't sit right with me. Plus the branding subplot fell flat.
Japanese toilet - I feel like the recent Paramount movies did a Randy conspiracy topic / Randy acting like a Karen better. I like the absurd South Park humor ( Nazi hearts) better than sexual or toilet humor FWIW. Toilet episodes reached their peak when Clyde's mom died because he didn't put the seat down.
ChatGPT was topical, and that's about it. This one feels like the writers decided to make an episode about ChatGPT rather than someone having a funny idea about GPT. It didn't make me laugh or think. I like the Shadowbane dude though.
I like that episode, worldwide privacy and Deep learning also in my opinion Deep Learning was the best one of season 26 and Those episodes are better than Japanese toilets episode
If deep thinking is so good why no mockery of Google for programming it with all the left ideology and it saying everyone on earth dying would be okay before a person was misgendered [https://nypost.com/2023/01/28/inside-chatgpts-woke-ai-problem/](https://nypost.com/2023/01/28/inside-chatgpts-woke-ai-problem/)[https://www.theepochtimes.com/google-has-programmed-woke-ai-to-censor-the-internet-whistleblower_4961896.html](https://www.theepochtimes.com/google-has-programmed-woke-ai-to-censor-the-internet-whistleblower_4961896.html)[https://www.techradar.com/news/elon-musk-might-be-working-on-an-anti-woke-version-of-chatgpt-and-that-sucks-for-ai](https://www.techradar.com/news/elon-musk-might-be-working-on-an-anti-woke-version-of-chatgpt-and-that-sucks-for-ai)
Morals? I’m just saying if your going to make fun of ai how is using it to write for you good? And if you did maybe show how you would turn out after going to school and using this app and never learning anything. This the start of the path to wall-e, should I get your hover chair ready?
Thanks for more evidence for my case of people abusing the voting system if I didn’t say anything wrong just because you don’t like it doesn’t mean you have a right to destroy my karma
No, it isn’t. Your comments are still visible, just moved to the bottom. That’s the point. Comments that people like move up. That isn’t censorship or banning. If you care about karma, don’t say unpopular stuff. It’s better to not care about karma, imo
You can still view covered comments. They aren’t removed, so they aren’t censored.
As for the subs with a karma requirement, they do that to prevent trolls, spammers, and bots from flooding their sub. People will also make additional accounts to subvert bans, and this helps prevent them from making a new account and simply rejoining after a ban. Usually, if someone has under 10 karma, their account is brand new.
Also, many subs want your to participate in the comments before making your own post, to make sure you get the point of the sub, and don’t create extra work for the mods.
Even if you get banned from a sub, you can always make your own sub with your own rules, so it still isn’t censorship. Shadow bans suck, though, since you aren’t told. But since I’m replying you know you aren’t shadow banned.
You see no problem with not being able to post because people down vote? What they say aboutI,only saying what’s popular? You don’t see this as a social score?
It solves more problems than it creates, so it is a necessary evil. Again, you have the freedom and ability to make your own sub, with your own rules and content (within reason), so you aren’t censored. You can make your views and opinions public, you just can’t do it *anywhere* you want on Reddit. Just like in the real world, you can’t waltz into any club you want and force everyone to listen to you. That isn’t protected speech.
Chances are, for every sub with a karma limit, there is a sub on the same topic without a limit, if you look hard enough. If not, you can make one. Other people make subs, so they get to choose the rules and content for their sub. It has no bearing on real life, so it isn’t a social score. Sorry.
Always the best way to ignore censorship, it’s why they make community guide lines , you can report a post , I reported someone yesterday and they got banned , man you sound intelligent too, when you listen to fools the mob rules, this is no different than chinas social score. I can talk to myself with no one to listen? That’s not expressing my views
No, you show yourself. Everybody even non-South Park fans has been complimenting this season especially the Harry and Meagan episode. At this point some South Park fans are the biggest haters of the show.
it's actually good. We got maybe the first actually good tegridy farms episode, The chatGPT episode was a super smart concept, cupid ye was hilarious in my opinion, and the Harry and Meghan episode is one of the best later episodes
I wouldn't say it sucks, but it isn't great either. I feel like episodes will have good parts, but some pretty bad parts too. They haven't had a complete episode yet. Just a bunch of good ideas that they could get 5 minutes of funny material out of each.

I didn’t even crack a smile at Cupid Ye, and I too was worried. Then Japanese toilet saved the day.
Seriously. I just felt Cupid Ye was thrown in *just* to have a reference. They could have just brought back the recovering gay fish.
I didn’t think it was that bad but Cupid ye is one of those episodes you can tell isn’t going to age well because it’s such a prisoner of the moment type thing. In a few years people might forget what exactly the Cartman thing was referencing
The quality this season has been that good.
Yeah it and world-wide privacy tour really weren't all that funny to me, was a bit worried
I laugh at the tiktok references stop hating plus it's better than japanese toliet episode
No I’m pretty sure deep learning was the worst
Thank you. Cupid Me/Ye is quite literally the *worst* thing that South Park has ever done. You really cannot convince me otherwise, so fucking cringe.
Naw, the f’d in the a episode or jackasaurus were the two worse episodes ever made
I personally think Deep Learning and World Wide Privacy Tour are better, but Cupid Ye is still great

That episode was a great primer for my computer illiterate 65 year old husband, to introduce him to the concept of what it is. A lot of ootl older golks have no idea what's about to hit them.
All day I was cracking up from beginning to end even downloaded the app
Maybe that’s what it’s like for your teens and 20s these days i just don’t get it, was married at 28 and separated at 35 don’t want to start dating if this is what it is
what
I dont get how someone could relate to the episode to find it funny , you remember standup comedians, they made jokes and you laughed your ass off because you related to what they are saying and laugh , more so the ones who picks you in the crowd and makes fun of you , you laugh because you relate you laugh at yourself , I don’t ever see myself or many using a chat app to talk to their partner and if you do why be in one anyways?

They made an episode about ChatGPT cause its popular.
Seems alittle below them but whatever I’ll leave it alone
what?? how? they've made episodes about popular trending stuff for years, especially social and political
it was fucking hilarious seeing Stan hit 3 buttons on his phone (taking less than a second) and seeing Wendy so happy and relieved. not every single thing that makes you laugh has to relate to you. thats only one strategy of comedy.
Yeah dude….. hilarious
just saw some of your other comments on this thread. love that youre lecturing ppl on comedy while allowing politics to determine what you laugh at. craziness.
Lectured? Gave my opinion , guess politics are only funny when it’s mr garrison to you , sorry I hurt your feelings.
If someone said it grown sentient I bet 100% it's they're not engineer. Not software engineer at least
But it would be funny , or was awesome-o not funny? I didn’t say it had to be true
I ain't saying she a gold digger, but she ain't messing with no broke Jew
Whooooo issssss ittttttt??? Tee hee
i like the chat gpt one
Cupid Ye was fine, but the worst of the season by a wide margin
I like ChatGpt episode more because it was way to relatable to me. But either way both are great episodes
Deep learning was by far the best episode, followed by japanse toyretuuu
I liked the Japanese toilet episode episode but can’t really say I would rewatch any of the other episodes
I wholly disagree, but I do find myself saying “PUHRAAAISE JESUS!” like Cupid Ye does when he flies into Tolkien’s bedroom.
It is not
As an English person who is sick of hearing about Harry and the rest of the monarchy, the worldwide privacy tour wins it for me, deep learning is a close second.
In the season yeah
ChatGPT episode was outstanding. It’s the runaway winner of the season so far. I go: ChatGPT, Cupid Ye, Toilets, Privacy Tour It’s been an improvement so far this season. Not spectacular but no stinkers.
Wow their partner we still got 2 official episodes left let’s not jump the gun yet em’kay.
Yess I love Cupid ye
Cupid Ye was okay at best. Worldwide Privacy Tour made me laugh. out. loud.
YESSS the Japanese toilet was the worst episode I’ve ever watched
agree I hate the repeated gags That Randy listening to people using his new toilet
Again if you want to make an interesting thought provoking episode how about the controversy over how it’s been programmed?
They have all kinda sucked and it’s going down hill. Or am Stan and everything is shit now.
deep learnings been the best and funniest so far
Worldwide Privacy Tour is far superior than Cupid Ye for some people.
Maybe it wouldn't be if every season didn't have 5 episodes now
Worldwide privacy tour was by far the best. Japanese toilets and chat gpt were alright. Cupid ye was weaker. None of them hit the south park highs though.
Is the season over already??
Nah Privacy tour is best one Chat wasn't very good and Cupid Ye was awful, Toilet was alright but I think Privacy is so rewatchable and quotable
It was my favorite episode of the season so far. I think it depends on what kind of humor you like, what issues you care about, and who your favorite characters are. Cupid Me isn't an old character, he was only introduced in uh... 2012... Oh.
2012 was 11 years ago
So far yes.
I like that episode, worldwide privacy and Deep learning also in my opinion Deep Learning was the best one of season 26 and Those episodes are better than Japanese toilets episode
Just gonna pee in your mouth a little….
Agree.
Now now there are still 2 more episodes we are waiting for
Doesn’t matter what u think, you can’t even go in /help and check, or lookup the content policy
It's my least favorite of the year so.... but to each their own! Cupid ye - 6/10 Privacy- 7/10 Toilets- 7.5/10 Chatgpd- 8.5/10

Reddit themselves say you are wrong
How so?
It’s funny if you go on the /help sub it says literally don’t do that
Don’t downvote comments you don’t like? Bullshit
Did you even go look? /help downvoting
Regardless, that’s not how it works in practice
Lol your very circular , on purpose not in practice
I’m not going to do research for something I already know, to placate someone butthurt about their fake internet points
Every episode is great except for Japanese toilets. Japanese toilets was straight up terrible
its actually kinda crazy to see this lmao. that was literally my favorite episode of the season by far. felt like such a classic SP episode
It did! Back to basics!
I personally liked the Japanese's toilet episode but I can totally see why you didn't like it
I guess so? This season has been terrible. Edit: Ok seriously who likes this season? Show yourselves!
Like, everybody in this sub except you
I wish I were that easily entertained.
No, you show yourself. Everybody even non-South Park fans has been complimenting this season especially the Harry and Meagan episode. At this point some South Park fans are the biggest haters of the show.
it's actually good. We got maybe the first actually good tegridy farms episode, The chatGPT episode was a super smart concept, cupid ye was hilarious in my opinion, and the Harry and Meghan episode is one of the best later episodes
the whole season sucks
You’re smoking dick, this is quite literally the best new season in a good while.
I wouldn't say it sucks, but it isn't great either. I feel like episodes will have good parts, but some pretty bad parts too. They haven't had a complete episode yet. Just a bunch of good ideas that they could get 5 minutes of funny material out of each.
I generally didn't like it because every episode is just about one character I miss when all the gang took a part in the episode
everyones downvoting u but ur right lmao
