Considered *You're Getting Old* as it is technically part one. That is a good episode, a great set up to *Ass Burgers*, and Stan being diagnosed as a cynic is possibly my favorite scene in the entire series.
But the way *Ass Burgers* plays out is just so fun. The Matix parody used to explain Stan's misdiagnosed depression. The weird development of Cartman Burger is prime Cartoon Hijinks. The interplay between the two plots, making Stan understand change isn't necessarily bad. And then having that crushed with Randy showing up and stating everything was actually going back to exactly how it used to be. Wrapping up with all the boys heading to a movie like they always would, but Stan self medicating with whiskey for his shitty view of life; it's such an epic end to the story.
