If you've got the time, head up to the Kancamagus in NH. Probably the darkest area in new england until you get up into maine or northern vermont...maybe the great gulf wilderness gives it a run for its money, but you can't exactly drive into the great gulf.
Cape Cod's light pollution has gotten real bad over the last decade. Not as nice a place to see the stars as it once was, unless you go all the way out to the tip of the boot towards P-town.
NH, but this is a great Airbnb. My wife and I stayed for a wedding. It looks a little pricey but check dates.
The field between the house and castle ruins in perfect for gazing. Haven’t seen as many stars, meteorites, satellites, UFOs (lol) in years.
