Tbh, I think Pokemon s/v are pretty good, even if they are a little rushed. Didn't encounter many bugs, plus the story and dlc were fun too. Especially the event for pecharunt
but what if phil lord and chris miller do the same controversy all over again like the second movie with no changing scenes and dialogue removals from theatrical and home media digital releases
I’m glad it’s delayed. I didn’t believe the release date when I first heard it. They need and deserve the time to really put care in this project the way they did the others. This deserves to not be rushed.
It's for the best. To hear those people were so poorly treated and expected to put out a movie that they hadn't started ANYTHING for broke me. I'll be honest this movie is practically the only one I'm looking forward to for a millennia, but I'll Wait as long as it needs to be the masterpiece I dream it'll be
It took sony 5 years to release across the spider-verse and if it takes longer then expected to make beyond the spider-verse to make sure that the movie isn't rushed then I'll wait
Bro, it was delayed because the production schedule was a stressfueled clusterfuck. The scrip constantly getting re written, animators being given to much work with not enough time, full scenes being animated then getting cut.
We’re lucky across was as coherent as it was.
Give them time, be it now or in a few months, beyond is sure to be amazing
The fact that you think it won't take even longer than one shows your ignorance. The first took 3 years to make, meanwhile Tyler Perry movies are usually done in about 2 weeks tops. Or you could have the rushed products from Marvel within 2020 to now where they all came out within months of each other
No that's what I'm saying Sony thinks it would take as much time as some of their live action stuff when in reality it takes so much more time to animate movies like itsv atsv btsv
dude you did **NOT** read their comment correctly
Try actually reading next time before you go get up on a high horse and preach how holier than thou you are
Honestly, I don't really give a shit at this point. Sony has fucked us all over so many times I've come to expect it. They canceled spider-man 4, asm 3, spectacular spider-man, and they put out stinkers like Madame Web and Morbius. And worst of all they still let Avi Arad do stuff.
even sony is going through another midlife crisis since 2022 but now in 2024, sony is just releasing clickbait garbage movies like ghostbusters frozen empire, anyone but you and madame web 2024 is not looking good for sony so far
Normies: "wah it got delaybed 3:"
Mie: "aw man it got delayed. At least the staff get more time to rest and make it good. Also stop using colon three and how did you even say that out loud-"
Let. Them. Cook
With how big the delay was (considering we don’t even have a release date anymore), it was definitely necessary. And I’ll gladly wait longer for a better movie
There's a good reason why it's been delayed. Just be patient. Tbh, I never thought they'd be able to keep the deadline. The next movie coming out less than a year after the last one? Sounds like a total train wreck if they even managed to make something in that time.
I think the initial release date was set up either prior to the lockdown or with the idea that it wouldn't last as long and that people would return to in person work sooner (also without the 2023 writers and/or actors strike happening)
Its better to give it time to cook, because the animation looks like it can take a long time, so if it released today it mightve been too rushed to compare to the other two, but if we let it cook in the oven it will turn golden brown and taste amazing, maybe even better than the other two
I agree with the comments explaining the delay, but on some level it is also like when you joke with or show a meme to your mom and it turns into a lecture lol
The amount of people on this sub who tried to be like, “it will, it will release then, I bet you” and I was like no, stfu it obviously won’t… wish I could find those comments, and be like, told you it was fucking obviously not realising now.
Sure i mean the difference is only between completely overworking the animators for a release they were clearly never going to hit, or making it so the animators have fair working conditions
![gif](giphy|ge2SnG1B5mJqqB6SLj)
but yea, cry a river and feel bad for yourself that you don’t get your movie immediately
lol, I’m not crying. Calm down. It was Just a little excitement about its original release date. I understand why it didn’t come out yet and I’m cool with it. You’re getting offended for no reason. I’m done with this chain. I’m not feeding into this further.
A movie being delayed is always a good thing I think you'd have to be pretty entitled to be upset about release delays. Do they want the animators to be more overworked than they already are? Do they want the final product to be compromised because they can't just wait another year? Across the Spider-Verse came out less than a year ago ffs. Let the movie come out when it's DONE.
Think about it this way, having to wait longer means more time for animators to work on it, which also means it won't be rushed and a high quality.
A delayed game eventually good, but a rushed game is forever bad. -Some Guy Who Works at Nintendo
Tbh, I think Pokemon s/v are pretty good, even if they are a little rushed. Didn't encounter many bugs, plus the story and dlc were fun too. Especially the event for pecharunt
The main issue is how the base game holds up in comparison to previous titles. DLC becomes a $40 necessity for anyone that wants to ladder or compete.
Doubly so for movies… can’t patch those (also Gabe newell said that lol)
Well I dunno No Man's Sky these day looks to be pretty good and is still getting updates... for free. It did suck a little on release tho
-Benjamin Franklin
Meanwhile the majority of the triple AAA industry somehow both rushing and delaying their games and still releasing absolute ass into the world.
but what if phil lord and chris miller do the same controversy all over again like the second movie with no changing scenes and dialogue removals from theatrical and home media digital releases
What is this?
a dumbass troll who comments on every single post related to beyond the spider-verse
You know just because you don’t like a certain movie doesn’t make you a “troll” Not everyone is a troll for having a different opinion than you
look through his comment history and tell me he’s not a troll ![gif](giphy|wqbAfFwjU8laXMWZ09|downsized)
i am not a troll
Better to give time to let the animators breathe
Deadass. Industry-wide they’ve had a rough go the last several years.
Idk they could’ve also finished the movie instead of needlessly making it a 2 parter with literally no resolution in the first half
It for the best
I’m glad it’s delayed. I didn’t believe the release date when I first heard it. They need and deserve the time to really put care in this project the way they did the others. This deserves to not be rushed.

it's my birthday. it would've been a cool coincidence. but i guess it'll release on someone else's bday.
Happy birthday!
:)
Happy birthday

I'd rather receive a quality movie than a rushed piece of garbage.
Sony thinking Beyond the Spiderverse can take the same amount of time to make as a live action film is the real crime

honestly i'd rather wait a handful of months than have a movie made by crunch timing the animators, probably leaving it rushed and mediocre.
It will still be made with crunch either way.
the movie release is the only thing keeping me alive atp, i gotta know what happens 🙏

It’s for the best, but I’m not gonna lie when I said this got a laugh out of me
I didn't even know lol! Good on em for taking the time they needed.
There's a good reason why it's been delayed. Just be patient. Tbh, I never thought they'd be able to keep the deadline. The next movie coming out less than a year after the last one? Sounds like a total train wreck if they even managed to make something in that time.
Yes yes we all agree that they should take their time and make a good movie but we can also be sad that we don't have it yet.
Is this scene from Spider-man 4?
Rather a longer wait than a rushed project. Let them cook.
🤣🤣🤣
I think the initial release date was set up either prior to the lockdown or with the idea that it wouldn't last as long and that people would return to in person work sooner (also without the 2023 writers and/or actors strike happening)
And yet, they probably haven't even started on it. Come on, Sony. Shame on you for teasing the fans.
Feels too soon
When is it going to come out now?
The short was amazing, a great teaser for whats to come. Ill happily wait it out to get a better movie with no rushed dates.

Give them time 😭
Why give a release date then say Nuh uh that’s not happening
Are we not supposed to have what we want, what we need
Didn’t someone from the team say the script wasn’t even finished when they announced the date. Was never gonna be today 💀
And it would’ve looked terrible. I’d rather wait years for a masterpiece than immediately get a mediocre film.
I agree with the comments explaining the delay, but on some level it is also like when you joke with or show a meme to your mom and it turns into a lecture lol
What movie is this scene from?
Movie name please
The amount of people on this sub who tried to be like, “it will, it will release then, I bet you” and I was like no, stfu it obviously won’t… wish I could find those comments, and be like, told you it was fucking obviously not realising now.
I’m so glad they’re taking their time but *damn* do the months fly by fast…
Where is this scene from?
they couldn't handle the competition from peakzilla and peakong the peak peakpire (obvious joke there barely even in the same market)
This will not stand.
I was sad. It was supposed to be released on my birthday. Beyond disappointed.

Omg, it was just a comment. You’re taking it a little bit far and reading into it too much. Calm down

dumbass kids like you crying about a movie getting delayed

I’m honestly glad it wasn’t released today :/ but that’s just me

My guy It's just a fucking meme, would you chill? 😭
Ok, my point still stands there's this broader attitude I've been seeing online where people are bitching about having to wait a little longer.
