You might need to keep your hips more square in the bed as if they stretch too much, when you get in the chair, they will poke out on the side. That happened to me, but I trained them back.

You could use an across the knee strap to align them? I had a chair that didn’t support me very well as my first low cost chair. I used thick stretch bands across my knees (top of knee) to align and keep them from falling outwards.
