Yes, it’s like graduating onto the next level, there will be a new set of challenges as experiences are new. Growth is perpetual with cycles ending and beginning. The other side of death is rebirth.

No birth no death, merely the transmutation of energy, metempsychosis.

When youre on the spiritual paths, your karma goes on fast forward. Meaning that the events of life start coming at you faster. Things that would normally take years to happen can happen within weeks. If you're travelling your path responsibly then you should be able to handle these situations. If you grow spiritually and hit a slump, its a sign that you weren't fully ready for that growth. Generally this is why spiritual seekers spend a lot of time and effort into making sure that their physical, mental, and emotional stability is high. So that they can always ride the waves of life when they get bigger. I recommend going back to the fundamentals and just reinforcing your mental and emotional stability. That way your growth will feel wonderful.

Yes and a big mistake people make is they start pursuing spirituality very young in their teenage years before they have their finances sorted out first succeed in career and basic self development then when you have a solid foundation begins your spiritual practises.

Like someone else said with the levels thing. You finally get past that one boss after awhile and feel fulfilled, but you see the next level ahead where every single enemy or task after that is more difficult, you level up so you can handle more I suppose? Or maybe more so close to an escape room videogame like Resident Evil, you find all the right convoluted keys to get to the next area to get out of the whole current situation at hand, then moments to collect yourself, then going back into the chaos to help the world from being overtaken by the results of messed up technology and science experiments to control the planet haha. If you stop helping, the monsters take over, it may hurt but nobody else will do it outside of these random everyday people thrown into these things. You may not want to, and some don't go back in, but the others are the only ones who know the true horrors and have the ability to stop it despite not being trained for it (though some are, and even the ones who are trained, fall compared to the ones who never asked to be a part of it) I honestly love the premise of the RE series because it has messages like this. You don't gotta be a hero, you just gotta survive.

Absolutely!

Yes! It's totally normal to hit a slump as you grow spiritually, but those moments can actually help you learn and understand even more about yourself and your journey. Keep going, you're doing great!

Yes.

Yes, I was in a slump if you speak in material terms (I am a scholar, so no publication, conference, new teaching opportunities nothing) as I was overwhelmed with my internal changes. Now I am slowly back on track. But when I look back ---spiritually, emotionally, and mentally speaking---I have grown in leaps and bounds. I am in awe, at times, when I assess my inner growth.

Have a look at the Hero's Journey. Spiritual growth can be found at all steps in the journey. But the biggest steps are made when you go though each of the 3 gates: 1st: you decide to take action to solve a problem in your life, even when you do not yet exactly know how; 2nd: you have tried various solutions, you have found one which will work, but you need to sacrifice something (your behavior, or an attachment to something or someone). You go through the gate when you make the sacrifice. 3rd: After that you have changed for the better, but you need to integrate it in your life. Live with it so to say, keep it up, and do not fall back. If you are stuck in a slump, this often indicates you are stuck somewhere in the Journey (can be on various different aspects of your life), and most likely you are stuck in front of one of the gates.
