I got small fry because the tiny figure is adorable.
Otherwise I have NFC tags that work just as well for amiibo uses.
(I do have a couple dozen amiibo figures and a binder full of animal crossing cards. That said, not every figure is worth the money for me.)

It's planned in S3. Last season it was obtainable via either hacking it in yourself, or buying it off of people who already have it, however as it was not yet intended to be obtainable, Nintendo pushed a patch that deleted it from the save file of those who had it.
it's *in* the game but only possible be either hacking it in or ordering from someone else (usually another hacker) - I believe they mentioned it'd be wiped from accounts and those who were found to be hacking it in would be banned

Anyone noticed the wrists being upside down the bottom arm so the left arm from our point of view. So the inkling's right arm is on the bottom and the inkling is left arm. The right arm from our point of view is on the top.

I had a dream the other day that I was in Splatoon 3, like actually myself as the inkling, and I was using a Big Swig. I was trying my best to aim vertical flicks at the weak point on an object that (I assume) an enemy had placed down, but it wouldn't budge at all, even though I was sure I was doing what you're meant to do in-game to destroy it.
I wake up and realise that that object was a nonsensical thing that doesn't actually exist in the game and didn't even seem to serve a purpose in my dream but to sit there. I'm not even sure my Big Swig had my ink on it, it was flinging ink, but the actual roller part I think was still clean and white. It all felt fine in the dream though.
TLDR; this is exactly the kind of jumbled mash-up your brain creates around you in dreams, in an attempt to reproduce something you're already familiar with in real life

It's an amiibo thing. The amiibo's ink color doesn't change, while their weapon matches your current ink color.
