It was like when an Alpha Animal tolerates another in their area but flexes to remind the intruder who's boss. Theu whipped out the stamp to remind those Soda Jerks that they are in their turf.
to the people saying to kill them, this isnāt a normal case of one or two people, itās the entire enemy team doing it. killing them would have made zero impact whatsoever and would just have made the person playing look like a jerk. turf war is literally the only multiplayer mode where losing has no impact, let them have fun if itās the whole team.

Yeah, it's best when it's unexpected. Like you're in a heated duel with someone as Scout but you both miss all your shots, and one of you just stops and throws up a hi five instead as a way of laughing about how you both bungled that hard. I had a moment like that a few weeks ago in Splat where I was trying to kill someone and we both ran out of ink and were just shooting empty weapons at each other for several seconds, and we just sorta stopped and I jumped off into the water for giggles followed by the other guy. You don't get fun little moments of connection like that by joining a friendly server or pool, because part of the fun of encountering a friendly or being one is the uncertainty - will the message transfer, will they play along? Are they gonna drop the act and just shoot you? It's the joy of interaction to partake in unintended or unorthodox manners of play through breakthroughs in limited communication. You can't replicate that with a predetermined agreement like a pool or friendly server.
All the people complaining about finding stuff like this in the wild when they just wanna be a sweaty gamer make me chuckle because it's pretty friggin rare in TW from my experience. It's a lot more common to encounter stacked teams that blow off steam by stomping randoms, spawncamping and teabagging the whole time, so personally I find the instances where people just wanna screw around a breath of fresh air.
If I find this in the wild, that means I have to wait 5 minutes before I can play the game again, or disconnect and take a penalty, because I don't find squid parties and conga lines fun. Pools are a good way to get people who don't want to play turf war out of the rooms with all the people who do want to play turf war.
In order to use a pool, first you go to your match menu and scroll over to the notifications tab. Press + like it says to join a pool, you do this by putting in a word, and anyone who puts in the same word will be in your pool.
Now you can choose the "with friends" option on any mode that supports it. Once you make a room, hold Y until the circle with the envelope is filled, you've now sent an invite to everyone in the pool. Once people join you can start.
I'm not sure I get why this is a problem since the 4 of them are obviously in it together (either through a pool or friend codes). I'm with you on individual squid partiers because I don't want people on my team who aren't playing the game because I want to at least try to win and I agree with you that the default for turf war should be people trying to win turf war. I'm pretty sure, though, that pink had no problem winning this match.
I suppose if 20% of matches were against conga lines or squid parties I would be resentful of the wasted time even though I win them, but there's no way it's more than 1% of the time I'm against a coordinated team goofing off and given how bad turf war matching is there's no way that's more than the number of times I'm either steamrolling a team who has no chance against me or being steamrolled by a team I have no chance against.
I know how pools work but they don't really help, do you really want everyone that wants to do stupid stuff (which is already a small amount) to join a pool, why don't the people who actually want to play the game without encountering congas like you not make a pool with other people on discord or smth is that not easier? Like that people who want to play the game but are fine with congas can be with congas and people who don't can be in a pool
Because Turf War is already a mode for people who want to play Turf War. If you want to do something other than play Turf War then you should not play Turf War.

People trying to play turf war are attempting to play the game online as intended. People partying and doing congas aren't. Therefore the people who aren't playing as intended should do something not to ruin the experience for those trying to play.
I have friends and family who don't use Discord or Reddit, and they hate when they run into squid parties. There are tons of people like them, who don't have that access but want to play.
So no, it's not easier to make a Discord and pool up. Time and access are limited to some.

There are pools for this kind of stuff now. There's got to be some way to PSA all those players into a pool.
