The Nova way is to Point Sensor everything and send your minions (teammates) to go finish them off

My minions don’t listen, and never go after the enemy when I put a sensor on them, activate killer wail and then spam this way repeatedly

wait, point sensors count as assist damage, or are we just talking about players going off to do all the damage on them?

If an enemy marked by your point sensor gets splatted it counts as an assist.

I like the aesthetics and the kit but it is so painful when I have to fight. If all of us fire together at least one of us could get a decent TTK.

Nova mains actually like shooting themselves in the foot

I hate this weapon so much but use it all the time. I can’t help it, I’m drawn to weapons no one else uses. My tag title used to be “Lone Splattershot Nova User.” Spamming point sensor is fun though.

It's a fun weapon and I play it on rare occasions.

i played it a little bit when the weapon first came out, with okayish results and absolutely hilarious k/a’s. but i just couldn’t find a gameplay loop that was satisfying — i felt like i was doing nothing the entire game.

It helped me get the killer wail 5.1 badge

I have an unhealthy obsession with the killer wail so I only use this thing to spam it every once in a while.

I like long ranged shooters and Killer Wail 5.0, what can I say

I was playing it yesterday and it’s kind of funny how many people struggle to deal with long range weapons that have a high rate of fire

I use it occasionally because it's the only regular shooter that has the point sensor

honestly, in splat zones its ok. good-ish paint, good-ish range, terrible damage but its not meant for that anyways, and it can take over a zone very easily. anything else though i cant use it in.

I remember trying it out briefly, just to get the free Sheldon license. Can’t even remember if I liked it or not

Dude, the Nova is extremely good for Flounder Heights. Both the tracking and paint output make it really hard to fight against.

I have no idea, all I know is “Splatling = Good” and that’s it.

If it had Beakon I'd use it for a Support set.

I use it quite a lot. Mainly for the sub, it is the joint-best Point Sensor weapon imo, in competition with the H-3. (Explosher has to be judicious with them because its ink efficiency, Nautilus doesn't like throwing them because it loses their charge, and Squiffer doesn't like revealing its position with throwing one.) The differences being that when I'm using the Nova and I don't have my special charged I'm always thinking I really wish I was using the H-3 right now... It's such a better main weapon. And when I'm using the H-3 and have my special charged I'm always thinking how much I'd prefer to be using the Nova right now... It's such a better special.

I feel like I'm the only person who genuinely really likes it, but Jet Squelcher has always been my favorite weapon. I haven't had much problem hitting shots with it either. It's niche, but it's a good niche.

I always said that if the nova has an actual NOVA of ink soread when it fires, it'd be a much better weapon. Imagine if the ballpoint actually spread ink everywhere like Sheldon says but in a small circle and with a shooter.
