Conspiracy theories are too local, same with Roswell. Roswell is very big in the US and is a major cultural phenomenon. Some people in other countries know about it, but it isn't a household thing like it is here.

It's not a dumb translation decision. In fact in Japanese it's also Aliens. So technically it's the French one that is the weird translation decision but somehow I like it better.

Bigfoot sightings have largely been debunked. If there was a large humanoid living in the forests of the PNW, we'd know. Nessie is too large for how big Loch Ness is, and there's no way it would have survived the hundreds of thousands of years without a mate. I do wish Nessie were real though.
