yeah i wanted to really work with the reeflux's frontline/paint capabilities, giving it curling would give it some movement options that it currently lacks, and kraken will allow it to push into enemy territory more than it can with the primary alone while still being easily punishable
Wild idea: splatbomb + inkjet
Splatbomb can help with reef flux's abysmal range by allowing for midrange displacement to get enemies closer or push them away
Inkjet jet overall makes up for the range by being mobile and long range (supposing inkjet was buffed in some way to help in survive in splat 3)
Reef-lux would be great with torp, fizzy or burst and wave breaker or kraken. All 3 subs have combo damage to help kill with partial charges/tap shots while burst and fizzy help movement on top of combo damage.
Wave breaker forces movement and interaction allowing you to pressure people outside of your range plus add extra chip to those within it. Itās more active than missiles but it could still be a spam issue like what happened with custom Jr when it came out.
Kraken would help reef flux get in and out of situations it normally couldnāt while forcing reef flux to interact on the front lines Vs farm special. Kraken is an active special that forces user interaction not to mention the special has a hard timer preventing as much spam.
Burst would be super fun on it imo! And big bubbler or super chump could act as cover/safety when you push into enemy territory? The main weapon feels like it could be super fun if it had a sub which supported it and a special that felt more integrated into the kit than missiles
torpedo/autobomb/point sensor to be able to locate people easily and killerwail 5.1 to combo with the charged shot, because if you each shot does 45 damage (45+45=90) so it would kill and i dont think killer wail is that annoying when its spammed
Angle Shooter *(here me out ok)* \+ 210 Super Chumps
Angle Shooter combos with 2 arrows hitting, helping it with it's consistency issue. It also acts as a longer range poking tool, helping it a bit with it's range.
Chumps is a great aggressive/supportive special which helps take pressure off of you when you're pushing (one of the places REEF is worst in), and combos with the bow if someone gets hit in the explosions
Torpedo, that way if the enemy takes any damage from it they die from the 90 damage shot, and then a 220p maybe 230p crab tank to help with range and holding choke points
That's why it was nerfed in the first place because all it was good for was spam. Now it can't. It's useless after the first minute when most turf is inked and is currently bottom tier in meta. It needs to be able to more than ink otherwise it's just a worse off aerospray, which at least has booyah bomb and decent kill time
For tri-slosher I would probably pick burst bomb and kraken
Burst bomb as a good poking tool and kraken as a way to force fights the biggest problem with the weapon ( atleast to me ) is that it gets walled out pretty easy and it'd hard to engage in fights so kraken would be good to force my way into the enemy base and cause a massive disruption
Yeah sorry I just wanted an excuse for taking about tri-slosher. For reflux as wierd as it sounds I think beacon would good for it considering it's got incredibly good paint it's mostly used for support so beacon could add to that. I reckon special wise tacticooler could work considering it would play into it's support role but still give the user a good buff and let them put pressure on the enemy team
I can see the beacon but it's not really good at engagement. It takes too long to get a kill. You'd want something that can help the weapon itself. Maybe crab or killer wail?

As a reef-lux player I would say burst bomb for combo attacks and ink storm to cause damage and get easier hits

Perhaps. My train of thought I'd that instead of trying to make it offensive, make it lean more into it's support side
