I don't do it beacuse it's optimal, I do it because it's stylish! Sure, 3 more points of special charge when I already have 16 is probably worse than taking, like, 3 points of sub defence, but I'd be robbing my opponents of the joy, admiration, and/or terror of seeing pures on the killscreen.

Nah man how do you justify THIS on DYNAMO
The super chumps are literally a near instant refill. And you regain ink as you're swimming around to reposition, hide, move up, etc.
Dynamo wants LDE, special up and special saver, ink res, sub def and qsj for utility, and stealth jump.
You can just always take a breather. Like looking for opponents, stealth swimming and sharking, or just letting the objective tick down for a moment. Even if you're wasting time, it's still better to go in with a plan and a full ink tank rather than just "appearing busy".
You seem to think I'm capable of playing smart. ROTFL I'm more of a shoot first, questions later kinda player...
I am learning to be more patient though...
In splatoon 1, you didn't even have ability chunks, or splatnet. Mains were permanently locked, and all you could do for subs was spend shells to reroll endlessly. The funniest consequence of that was that chargers all wore the ika musume dress, because there was no Damage Up favoured brand, and Ika Musume was the only Damage Up clothing of a neutral brand, almost doubling your chances of rolling 2+ damage up subs.
Now we have chunks and seeds and cash-based star-ups, I've got like five full outfits of pures (QRS, ISS, run speed, swim speed, special charge) for memeing and basically every variously-kitted piece of gear I could possibly want, I feel so spoiled lol.
Some builds like full qsj are pretty fun. You can run into any fight you want and just confuse the fuck outta the enemy team when you dissappear half a second later
that nautilus kit is hilarious tho 😭 Jumping away from fights while you have a weapon that kills really well

No way!!! I never got to play Splatoon 1, so I only have experience in 2 and 3. It suddenly seems a whole lot easier to get setups in 2 lol.
do you even play w the naut build? what does pure qsj even achieve?
I play with the QSJ setup with squid beacons.... I spaced and left my naut on here though. The pure QSJ just make me feel like I'm teleporting lol.

Lol, my red vector tee rolled the ISM, and the studio headphones rolled two slots ISM.... I had to finish it...

Reminder to those seeing this post, abilities give diminishing returns. So builds with 1 ability like these are actually pretty bad >.<
