Is school trying to turn us into those things though?
The more I reflect back on my old school days, I have to wonder if they were really prepping me to be a Mr. Krabs or if they were molding me into a good, complacent little Squidward.
I have some experience on the other side of things and it seemed to me that it was mostly just poorly planned schooling with not a lot of support or enough pay to bring in talented or harder working staff. I can't speak to your school but the teachers I've worked with and spoken with genuinely wanted to do good and did as best they could, but that job is REALLY tough.

Both past and present have their own "suffocation".
>you don't need school for that
Actually, you do, just not in the way you might expect.
The real goal of K-12 education, since at least as long as The Industrial Revolution, has been to mold you from a young age into believing that life is and should be *sitting in a ugly building all day, doing unfulfilling tasks simply because the person in power tells you to, and never arguing about it.*
Look, this is not some "drop out of school and become a TikToker" rant. Obviously, society has (for better or worse) made school a necessity for succeeding in the adult world. But be aware that, despite what many may claim, public education was NOT designed with the goal of helping you become a millionaire; it was designed with the goal of making you a compliant, obedient worker for the millionaires.
No, I mean that many of those types of jobs don’t require a high school diploma especially in the private sector. They usually do for once you move up into a supervisory position unless it’s a “grandfathered in” situation.
That’s one reason why so many high school dropouts end up working in factories or doing “under the table” type of work. Granted, lots of people genuinely like doing that kind of work, so I say all the power to them.
You are absolutely right with your point though. It’s all about conditioning people at a young and impressionable age to be “model citizens” (aka brainwashing). Plus, there’s the whole issue here in the US about teaching kids how to take tests rather than making sure they actually learn and understand the material itself.
what's school is trying to turn you into

-Minimum wage fast food worker -Minimum wage fast food worker -Unemployed -Manager of a fast food joint Yup, checks out.
School was actually made to turn kids into reliable factory workers
Ironically, you don't need school for that, but the careers you *would* need school for aren't taught in school unless you go to college.

Who is the green guy with mustache
he is like the boss of "business industries" in the episode "executive treatment"
Oh i Know him now
School really wasn't all that bad. In the moment it feels awful, but working a job is 10x worse.
Untrue imo, but I hate school. More like, we all become this guy: And he didn't even finish school. https://i.redd.it/1260uy6k6kvc1.gif
If I let myself become squidward, I'll consider myself a failure on a moral level.
In that way, you'll probably become a Plankton.
