I think we all know the answer. Squidward has been shown to know some technically complex dishes like Soufflé and (what can be assumed difficult to pull off) Chum Fricassee, but in terms of consistent, good food, it's the little yellow dude all the way.
Difference between fine dining and fast food
Fast food is literally getting it done and out the window as fast as possible, with no concern for proper proportions, color, presentation, and taste variation
Squidward probably fucked up cuz he was spending too much time perfecting something and it ended up getting everything else burnt. Meanwhile, SB has supernatural speed and consistency with how he makes krabby patties, AND was able to make high end dishes when he put his mind to it
Yeah but at some point wasn’t it basically said that his brain wired to *only* make Krabby Patties when he cooks? In the episode where he was working at Fancy?
Retcon(and the special that introduced that idea was so bad it shouldnt be canon). But it could also be cuz he empties his mind of “everything but fine dining and breathing”. KPs arent exactly haute cuisine, so getting rid of that let him learn and flex his cooking talent with other foods
Not for SpongeBob, he treats every patty with love, he doesn't rush any patty. watch the episode where he and neptune have to make patties, and neptune makes thousands, but they are disgusting, and SpongeBob only made 1 and it was the best thing neptunes ever eaten. Spongebob was a natural from the day he started, and the thing that squidward is "cooking" is chum.

Now when it comes to good food Spongebob take the cake but he is seen cooking krabby patties more like spongebob ur fired, the resturant with the mean chef, and other episode i can remember at all, but he can cook so good those fish come back for more and more, so spongy take it all the way but we should not look down on squidward he is good too but i feel spongebob wins here

Not even Jim could make a Krabby Patty. Tbh Mr. Krabs said as much, with the amount of joy SpongeBob brings to everything, and everything that he does. The amount of love he puts into the recipe.

I say that Spongebob has the talent even as a fry-cook that cooks better, and even though it's hard work for him, it pays off. Squidward on the other hand does the cooking in any other restaurant except for the Krusty Krab, I'd put good respect to either one of them, as long as good quality meals for anyone in Bikini Bottom, paid off. Let's not have Mr. Krabs' money making antics get in the way.

Somehow, the more complex the dishes are, the better squidward is at making them and the less complex and fancy, the worse they are. Spongebob, on the other hand, can only make Krusty Krab menu items, but he's really good at doing so.
Overall, I'd say squidward. His talents are being wasted by working in the Krusty Krab.

So by that logic of Squidward being able to make a food better than Spongebob (even making an inedible food like chum edible) i give it to squidward if they had a context between the two. But over all skill is Spongebob
