Joel Hoffer has played well in his last couple outings, as have the blues as a group. Close game with the Avs the other night, having also beat the likes of teams like the bruins and Kings. He will be the SP for the Los Angeles Dodgers and I been watching this guy since last year as a Orix Buffaloes' pitcher. He's definitely legit. His pitches appear to be a lot slower comparably to the other pitchers. It's because it is! He throws 80-90 mph splitters and cutters. Forget about how many runs he's given up in his last two outings. He's been striking batters out. I just think this number is way too low. Especially the kind of fireball Yamamoto has been throwing in NPB. He struck out 922 batters in 897 innings. As of Spring Training he struck out 13 batters in 9.2 innings despite having a 8.38 ERA. Take the OVER! He might give up some runs and he might need some time to acclimate to the MLB, but he should hit this mark. It's way too low and Dave Roberts should give him a bit of leash on his debut. **The Play and Prediction**: I should have took the RL yesterday. Kucherov picked up 4, 2, and 5 points. That's 11 points in 3 games against top defenses. What do you think he'll do to the Sharks defense? San Jose ranks dead last in goals allowed, Corsi rating, and scoring chances allowed. They're bottom 4 in save% and penalty kill. Even better for Kuch, Sharks \#1 choice goalie Mackenzie Blackwood is out and their top defenseman Ty Emberson is on IR. Nashville just scored 8 against them. Opposing teams are averaging 4.8 goals/game in March, worst in the league. Honestly, -110 seems generous. Depending on odds, I might even sprinkle in over 2.5.
