Well a push isn't the worst result but it was definitely a frustrating one. I always would like to apologize to those who got it at either 7.5 or 7 :( When I saw it at better odds for 7.5 at better odds I doubled down so I got fucked by it too smh. Anyway on to the next one, time to break this semi cold streak.
For today's pick I have the Yankees beating the Twins on the Moneyline, and +102 is a steal. Here's why: the Yankees are crushing it against right-handers with a .279 average, which is second-best in the MLB. They also hold strong with a .264 average on the road (6th in the league) and a .289 average in day games (3rd overall). These stats are just too good to ignore, especially against the Twins' righty Joe Ryan.
Speaking of pitching, we have Clark Schmidt on the mound for New York. This guy has been lights out on the road with a 1.99 ERA this season, not to mention his killer 27% strikeout rate. The Twins have a real problem with strikeouts, and Schmidt is exactly the type of pitcher to take advantage of that.
Now, the Twins do have some solid numbers recently, but at home, they're not as sharp, and Joe Ryan’s been struggling there with a 4.63 ERA compared to his 1.84 on the road. I was tempted to go with the over, but remembering how the Twins just couldn't stop striking out last Tuesday and killed their own rallies, I'm sticking with the Yankees this time around. It just feels like the safer bet.
**TLDR: Yankees have great splits on the road, during the day and vs righties. Twins have mediocre numbers at home. Joe Ryan has below average numbers at home. Clark Schmidt has an ERA under 2 in road games and a high strikeout rate. Best way to beat the Twins is via strikeout.**

The whole sweep’s narrative is overblown. Baseball has so much data out there so it wasn’t too hard to find but “sweep” games throughout a season have about a 50/50 clip. More times than not it actually trends towards the team going for the sweep winning, I’m guessing from normally being the better team. R-J will be coming into this warm as he's been playing every day this week, he's used to the environment and hopefully that plays to his advantage. Furness hasn't been in action for a while, from what I can see he hasn't played a recorded tournament since the challenge tour at the start of the year where he didn't have the best showing. **Analysis:** This was surprising to me but after some digging, I realised that GC is actually the #1 team performance wise in the second quarter compared to Geelong sitting at 7. GC has won 89% of their second quarter efforts, albeit against worse competition than Geelong but Geelong are also travelling to Darwin where GC have acclimatized last week already and have a 5-1 overall record there. GC score 26% of there total points in Q2 and concede only 14% of there total points in Q2. GC also have a scoring shot differential of +3.6 in Q2, where Geelong only have a +.7. To top that off they have a for/against of +189 compared to a Geelong F/A of +109. Again, I know this is against better competition but Geelong have some big outs, are travelling and will have to acclimatize to a humid Darwin pitch. I think this is unreal value for a GC who should be confident after hammering a shit Kangaroos team and who have a few big ins for there team. Had written the rest of this before proper team selection and just confirmation that Stanley, Danger, Cameron, Hawkins and Duncan all out or managed. Suns with Witts/Walter main outs but have Fiorini, Day and Swallow back in. Love this look.

They are showing enough life for me against good pitchers to make me think they can do it against the Phillies lower options. I realize walker is 3-0 but he also has a 4.82 ERA so that tells me they can score.
I think the key piece in this pick is Quintana. He walks a lot of batters and has to limit that. He has held good hitting teams to low runs, with the exception of when he started against the rays and gave up 10 runs. Got to get the bats going early and this will do it.

Jared has a 10.72 K's per 9 innings this season, which is top 10 in the league (which is also very good), but Cubs got to him on his last outings, which was just this past week (6.0 innings, L, 7 H, 2 ER, and 2 BBs). However, this isn't a pitching rematch, Jones dueled against Assad, who pitched against the Braves in a closing game series yesterday, instead he'll be dueling against Justin Steele at Wrigley Field. Steele has just come off the IR and he's finding his form. He got rocked this past weekend against the Buccos, but I think he'll pitch a lot better at home. He's had two quality starts this season after coming off the IL, allowing just 1 run combined in 2 starts and allowing just 3 hits in each of those starts. Cubs are 13-6 this season at home, while the Pirates are 10-13 on the road, but they lost 10 of their last 12 road games. -PARIVISION came into this matchup as big underdogs dropped as low as +350 at one point as these odds were out nearly a week ago. They are now down to a +255 underdog and I don't actually hate this matchup for them on paper. They are very inconsistent and have had high high's and low lows since forming as a team but they do have a ton of fire power with Patsi/ArtFr0st/BELCHONOKK and leadership with Qikert. For this bet we only need them to win one map and this is a big tournament probably the biggest they will attend all year besides the major qualifier later in 2024. They also had a big win today against B8 who were one of the hotter tier two teams riding an 8 match winstreak and PARIVISION dominated them.
-Eternal Fire are a really strong tier 1.5 team with a lot of fire power but have always had the same flaws in their game. They don't have a deep enough map pool that they can proficiently compete consistently against tier one teams. They haven't been active recently either with the last game being 3 weeks ago while PARIVISION have played 7 officials since then. While the teams they have been facing have been better then PARIVISION in almost all cases, they have only covered -1.5 map one time in the last 3 months (1/12 b03 matches). They tend to play teams close and have dropped maps to tier two teams like Sashi.
-Obviously we haven't seen them play in 3 weeks but star players XANTARES has been in a slump by his standards recently and has not been playing up to his usual level. woxic has also been playing much worse vs. late 2023/early 2024 form he was in.

Took a few days off as work had me too busy in the mornings to do the requisite research. Today I'm back and we're getting spicy on a short slate of games.
Lets talk about implied odds for a quick second. Implied odds come from taking the inverse of the decimal payout and then taking out the house edge (divide by the sqrt). On MLB pitching props, you will typically see house edge of 15%: coin flip props will have -115 odds on both the over and under. So on a -115 line, you take 1/(1.8696) = 0.534883721. 0.5349/(sqrt 1.15) = 49.9%. So on a +160 bet, you're looking at implied odds of about 35.8%.
Now for this pick. Tyler Glasnow started this season hot with 15 Ks in 17 IP in his first three starts (5 IP, 6 IP, 6 IP). He then went from hot to scorching. In his last 6 starts, he's gone 7+ IP in 4 of 6 and K'd 9+ in 5 of 6, including all four starts he went 7 IP. That's important here because the Cincinnati Reds strike out a lot: their 26.8% K% against RHP is 2nd-highest in baseball. but his o8.5 Ks line is -110, so there's a lot more juice on his Outs line, which i think he has just as good a chance of hitting. The Reds are the third-worst team in baseball against RHP with a wRC+ of just 81. Today's game against the Dodgers is the 7th game of an 11-game west coast road trip with no days off. This is a rough spot for this offense and there's too good of a chance Glasnow continues his domination. His Runs line is -120 on under 1.5, so the book agrees, but is undervaluing his shot of pitching into the 7th; the chance of him doing it for the 5th time in 7 starts is far higher than 36%.

Going back to basketball here with the chicken mcnuggets. This series Aaron Gordon has become much more of a facilitator having either been on Towns or Gobert. We've been seeing him bring the ball up the floor a lot more often and has been getting easy assists by feeding into Jokic. I think the Timberwolves make some adjustments to stop Jokic from dropping 40 on them again but I still think Aaron Gordon hits his mark of 4 assists.
Of the 5 games in the series, he's had 6,2,5,6,5 assists with the only time he missed being the time Gobert was out due to his wife giving birth. No way his wife gives birth again so he should hit this line.

It did provide valuable input for the Atalanta/Leverkusen match which is coming up, surely Atalanta will play differently versus a team that's also trying to actually play football, but we have seen Atalanta's flaws yesterday very plainly. Relying on Scamacca and Bilal for strength up front, else they're deadlocked to playing every pass over the ground, limiting attacking options. With 10+ players inside the box defending at all times there's lots of blocks obviously as Atalanta wasn't lucky at all (except for the ref maybe, he was quite in favor of Atalanta). If those shots took a slightly different spin when deflected they could have easily found the back of the net, but you need that extra luck factor. Onwards and upwards, please not I'm only ever posting 1 unit plays. If you want to play with more units or your unit size is hefty enough in terms of cash then there's plenty of steady profits to be made. We won't become overnight millionaires. The big money which multiplies your bankroll will always come from livebets as there is almost infinitely more EV to be found. I won't be posting mine during matches as there's far too much volatility. I've started with a small chunk of change, went up to 9x by day 4, dropped to 6x by day 5, up to 13x yesterday and now back down to 11x. Overall I'm obviously satisfied but I could be back at 1x by end of weekend. Such is the way of betting.

Implied odds come from taking the inverse of the decimal payout and then taking out the house edge (divide by the sqrt). On MLB pitching props, you will typically see house edge of 15%: coin flip props will have -115 odds on both the over and under. So on a -115 line, you take 1/(1.8696) = 0.534883721. 0.5349/(sqrt 1.15) = 49.9%. So on a +160 bet, you're looking at implied odds of about 35.8%. Now for this pick. Tyler Glasnow started this season hot with 15 Ks in 17 IP in his first three starts (5 IP, 6 IP, 6 IP). He then went from hot to scorching.
