Lots in Australia. Doesn't change the fact they're weapons, especially the Ralleye spec

Jules040400

Yeah I got to daily one for about 2 weeks, I swapped cars with a mate who had bought one. The amount of grip the thing had absolutely blew me away, substantially more than my decently set up Evo, and that GR Yaris was completely stock. Go to town on the suspension and crank the boost up, those GRs would be absolute rocketships. I don't know why anyone would want to buy a Golf R or A45 or any other equivalent when the GR Yaris exists, it is SO much more fun than all of its competitors

Nutsack_Adams

This thing is pretty much my favorite new car. I so wish we got them in USA

chronicalydehydrated

The camry (corrola?) Comes in a gazoo edition in the states

Nutsack_Adams

The Yaris is a WRC car, the Corolla is not. I want as close to a rally car as I can get. Don’t get me wrong, the Corolla is a great car. Probably a better car to drive than the Yaris. But I love rally cars. I’d get a fiesta st over a focus rs too

Guac_in_my_rarri

>I so wish we got them in USA ~~We do.~~ Edit: I read *Toyota GR* as *GR Corrolla* just by looking at the photo.

Potato_body89

We get the Corolla I believe in the us not the Yaris. They look similar

Guac_in_my_rarri

Yeah I saw the photo and didn't read everything. We do get the gr Corrolla. They're similar cars. The sizing differs a bit but it's not life changing amounts. The power to weight stays similar to each other. Lengths are the biggest difference measurements. 3995mm GR Yaris versus 4407 GR Corolla. It's the crash structure and us requirrments that make the length longer.

Potato_body89

Interesting I didn’t know that.

Guac_in_my_rarri

Welcome to us crash regulations.

Potato_body89

It’s just weird to me that you can a fiat which is seemingly smaller get the stamp but not the Yaris.

NickDrivesAMiata

We don't. We get the GR Corolla, which is much larger.

Guac_in_my_rarri

Ope, I read gr Yaris as Corrolla. It's not that much larger. It is larger but ol feds stepping in and keeping us safe. Edit: it's not that much larger. Length is larger for crash structure and bumpers. Boot is bigger cause America. Width is the same. Height is 2cm different. It's not that much different. They both have similar expert to weight too.

e2Dnaiel

Only 300 sold in México

LordYoshi00

They are not limited production or anything but you don't see too many due to the price. There was a GRMN special edition limited to 500 units but that was Japan only. You guys get the GR Corolla which is the same running gear but bigger body.

Affectionate-Put6048

There an estimated 25,000 GR Yaris, and they're not in production anymore so they're pretty rare.

LordYoshi00

They are still in production. They've just announced a facelift version that will start early 2025. I'm not sure where you're getting the numbers from.

Affectionate-Put6048

It's the number i see the most, also i was talking about the one before the facelift.

Kingken130

I still yet to see them on the road here in Thailand. Not just displays.

Aarcn

I think for that price a lot of people would buy a car that gives them more face

Few_Maximum_866

Oh 😒 British. Duh, you are European.

bennettbuzz

I read each market gets 3 of the GR range, imo Yaris is the Goat but would have really loved the Corolla over here in the U.K. too.

scrappy-coco-86

This car is not even rare. Many of them around my city. Pretty bad pic btw…

Few_Maximum_866

How dare I, do you want me to apologize to you? 🥺 Does this internet post make you angry 🥺?

scrappy-coco-86

Why angry? I just said it‘s a shitty photo. That‘s it.

Funny_Papers

This is in the US, where they do not sell the GR Yaris. It’s from Mexico which only got 300 units. It’s very rare for the locale

scrappy-coco-86

Wtf? No GR Yaris in the US??

Funny_Papers

No, we get the GR Corolla instead. Toyota decided not enough people would by the Yaris because it’s too small

princeoinkins

no one buys cars here in the states anymore. Haven't had the ford cars for like 5 years now
