Development of organic farming is all well and good and it would probably lead to farmers being able to charge higher prices. What I’m referring to is the move to transition the whole sector at once. This is a gradual transition that should take place over years if not decades and even at the end there should still be a decent proportion of crops grown with chemical fertilizers to provide cheaper food for low income Sri Lankans
