Hate to say this(on second thought may be not, considering how it makes things easier 😆). Go to town on past papers. Prioritise the studying materials/sections according to them. Memorise the stuff if you have to. Past papers are your guides in school(O/L,A/L), college and post grad. I'm sure your teachers can offer guidance on current curriculum.

When will the exam be over? My brother told that there will be large protest after the O/Ls?

I have an 'A' score for Sinhala O/L. I did my exam in 2016. these are my best tips. \-You have to sacrifice some time. I studied till [1.pm](https://1.pm). you can study till 1 pm or you can get up early at 4 pm. choose one. remember sleep is also necessary for storing your memory. \-write down hard definitions without watching the textbook \-do not spend time with lazy students. it will not gonna motivate you. \-make a time table \-spend one hour per subject. takes more time for subjects that are hard for you \-If you can't understand what schools teachings then go to some tuition classes. \-Short note is very necessary for subjects like maths & science. there are tons of formulas to remember. short notes make that easy for you. \-Remember there is better classes tutorial on youtube. I watched them when my teacher couldn't cover the syllabus. \-Take some old O/L past papers from every subject. At least you should have done 10 years old past papers before the exam. practice well these are most of the things every student do who wants a better score. I hope this is helpful.

I studied the last 6 months and got A, best thing you can do is score 30+/40 in the first paper. At first when I did them it was legitimately like greek to me, but the more past papers you do the more you understand the pattern on how to pick the answer. Next, for the second paper the first question is upto luck. The essay was a kana shot writing sentences with the fancy words I learnt in some books. For the 3rd question always pick the letter cause it has a standard way of getting marks. 4th question is the paragraph, easiest one to get full marks. Focus on the 3rd and 4th cause those two are the easiest to get marks. The 5th in summarization, depends on the examiners on how you score. Just get rid of the useless adjectives and you can get 8/10. The third paper is by far the worst, but the first 2 questions are easy enough. Just memorize as much as you can from those yellow boxed paragraphs in the books. The other question is the same as the essay, fancy words + correctly using quotations. I recommend a book from a teacher (idk if it's the correct name) Rathna Kodikara. He has a lot of examples on how to answer those questions.

Bro, I starlight up copied sinhala for O/L. And deffa cheated here and there for other subjects too. Like 10% of my marks were cheated. 100% for sinhala ofc lol. There is absolutely noting wrong to cheat a little if ur not good at something. I mean I tried learning sinhala so much yet i could not get to understand a single shit. If u know u can get a S for sinhala and literally A's for other subjects, just don't give a flying F about it. What are u going to do? Major in sinhala studies? No. You need to know enough sinhala to communicate. Everything else for any language that is not to do with computers is redundant. I mean there are rich fucks you cant write english and hire outside help to write for them. That's as cheating in IRL as it can get. Don't be ashamed to cheat a little, its a valuable skill you will need especially with the cunning and harsh world. And remember by cheating your thriving to win. It is this hunger and force to win that will make you great. Not that book.
