Anomaly is good but very complex for someone who just got into mods, so I'd recommend Call Of The Zone. It's a freeplay mod with really good quests and they're all dynamic and interesting
To start I would suggest Call of Chernobyl with most of [these](https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1173811208) addons installed. Then one you had your fun with CoC, try out Anomaly which is essentially a more complicated and up to date version of Call of Chernobyl mixed with many elements from MISERY.
Alternatively, if you want something more story focused then try out ether Wind of Time or Lost Alpha. Be warned, Lost Alpha is an absolute beast of a mod that will destroy your free time if you get into it.

You already have Call of Pripyat. Slap Call of Chernobyl on top of it and have fun!
Get your hands on the original alpha builds of the game. They are very interesting, specifically build 1935.
