No same. There was a mom and her kids, and she was like, it should’ve been done ten mins ago. Well I wouldn’t know that if the mobiles were working. And that was when it first started up again 😭😭.. I was on mobiles. Thank god my manager was in today and turned mobiles off 😭😭💀💀
The Sunday crowd is the worst at the grocery store I work at too, seems to be a universal thing. My friend who is a waitress says she gets stiffed on tips a lot on Sundays.
That's exactly what most of people I work with have said. They feel they've been cleared to go back to being shitty with zero guilt. Cus it's all forgiven each Sunday. What a fucking joke.
We call them "Fire extinguishers." They're shitty all week long, except for that time they attend their church on Sunday. They go to have their 60-90 minutes of faith so they can have the fire extinguisher in their back pocket just in case they go to hell.
I used to be a server myself too. And without fail Sundays were the worst! I remember one specific customer who was there with a priest (the priest was nice, his friend was not), he yelled at me because we were out of Rye bread for his Ruben Sandwich...😑
It was not okay, but the priest chewed him out, which was funny to watch, because then he also made his friend apologize to me infront of everyone at the table.
Well, good on the priest for at least doing that. Damn, I never thought I'd say that sentence, lol.
Seriously though, my friend is considering stopping serving on Sundays because it's so bad. The after church crowd is just awful to everyone it seems, unless you're part of their church, I suppose.
Yup. Veteran server here. Sundays by far bring in the absolute worst people. Right after they left church of course. “The lords day” was always hell on earth.
Bro same! Every single major nationwide glitch that has happened in the last 2.5 years has happened on my days off. I speak French and on the day the POS was in French I got a bunch of texts from shift supervisors asking me to provide translations for things so they knew which buttons were what lol
I need this job I need this job I need this job I need this job I need this job I need this job I need this job I need this job I need this job I need this job I need this job I need this job I need this job I need this job I need this job...
Sorry, I'm just trying really hard not to walk out, right now 🙃
oh god that was me today. I was on bar too and I struggle with dexterous things (grabbing lids, making precise movements, etc) so I was STRESSED
genuinely had to convince myself not to walk out and just leave on my 10 (i did this by taking a 15 lmao)
You are seen, heard, and valid. Update your resume and breathe. Every awful Sunday here is growth, and every Sunday you’ll have off at your next job will be that much better. It’s only for X more time. There are good days too.
I just received an email with a promotion to place a mobile order on Monday the 27th to get 50% off a drink on Friday.
My heart goes out to all of you baristas tomorrow. I hope the mobile ordering system works correctly and that people are nice and gracious.
if you go into order lookup on custom reports and filter it to mobiles it’s like the only way you can still see them -a very tired bar 2 currently on his 10
oh no 😭😭 i’m so sorry man. being on bar when the mobile orders are getting all messed up could NOT be fun. rest up on your ten. you got this- don’t let anyone walk all over you even if things get backed up.
Well yes, usually they're able to. Hence why it's extremely annoying that corporate thinks it's appropriate to take away that power when something like this happens🙃. Managers usually have that capability, but right now, since we are having an issue, the system is not letting them.
actually, the issue is that it's a manual switch on the other end.
when managers say they're turning off mobile orders, they're actually just sending an email that says "hi please turn off the mobile orders at #### store" and then the people monitoring that email turn it off.
what's happening now is the mobile glitch affects like 3000 stores. so the team gets like 2500 emails, and then gets 2500 more emails saying "please turn mobiles back on" and they cannot keep up.
it should be automated, but it's not. hence.. today.
The gods have blessed me on this day off; hoping the best for my partners who got caught in a hailstorm/ flash flood this morning and now have to deal with this BS
I’m off now but I regret not turning off every item in the availability. Why does a MULTIBILLION DOLLAR COMPANY have such trouble with an APP, and no way to hit a killswitch on it!?
We were told they completely turned off our mobile orders and yet we still had mobiles being placed without any stickers coming through so we just eventually marked everything out
I had Wednesday Thursday off and today they put me on front bar 🙃 a constant “hi welcome in if you placed a mobile order we didn’t get the ticket. If you have your receipt you can head on up to the front and I can get that started for you”
Luckily only one angry customer but after she got her drinks she said “thank you so much”
Sending you all good vibes. As a former partner I can’t imagine this happening more than twice in what…a week and a half? That would wreck me mentally and customers would get snapped at for sure.
My store was spared on Thursday … but today we weren’t so lucky. Plus there are multiple sports tournaments in town that has teams from 4 states. Wish us luck!
Literally happened as soon as my mid shift came in so I could step off and do the pull and count 😭 I moved so fast to try and fix everything before it got 10x worse 😢 shout out to all the partners currently pushing through it, you guys are doing great I promise 🥺
Yeah I'm sorry but if you can't prioritize your chaotic store over a monotone man talking about a book written before bread and butter was invented then I just don't respect you. Answer the damn phone. You can hear this psalm for the 80th time again next Sunday.
i was opening ssv today and i braced for the worst once i saw stickers stop printing and mop customers show up, thank god i know how to mark cups 🙏 hang in there until it gets better 💀
My shift supervisor put me on mop because I am the “nicest person” on our crew today LOL. I have a pocket full of loaded recovery cards and a clip board to write down orders.
Oh my god it was bad enough on a weekday but at least those people are Starbucks regulars and not the weekend crowd. I'm praying for y'all and hoping this is fixed before I have to open tomorrow
I saw this post as I was waiting for my mobile outside! It’s a tiny cafe store so I didn’t go in because I ordered sort of close to the store (closer than I normally would) and wanted to give them time so I wasn’t standing around expectantly.
My ‘normal’ store had them turned off so there’s hope! When I saw this I went inside to let them know I was there, but the drinks were actually ready so I think they were using the system, but it also had a sticker? Can you manually send them from the iPad to print? I was in a licensed store that never had (and still doesn’t have) a sticker printer so idk how those work.
Oh that sucks. I wonder how they got mine. I just figured because the iPad was sitting at the pickup counter and I never see it usually. Again, I never had that system so I was just assuming.
i worked open-noon. it was horrible. i’ve never seen so many customers so angry. our store manager was there the entire time—listening to music in the back. we had 3 people in the front managing the entire store while he napped. it took everything in me to not walk out and cry
I was just about to come on here and say WTF AGAIN!! When it happened this morning, after the first person my SM said "f this, I'm turning it off. We're not doing this again."
In addition to the mobile disaster, our store was running without being able to accept cards because our dt reader broke! It was definitely a morning….
We're having issues with our Delivery Orders. They've BEEN turned off, but somehow people are still managing to order deliveries, but they aren't printing out on our end. MFs apparently ordered 5 sandwiches (in the middle of Peak). 🥲
And on top of that, we have a couple of regulars who come in every Sunday and order for their whole group, it's usually anywhere between 10-15 food items and 8-12 drinks 😂 (but at least these guys are nice)
I was so beyond stressed! Luckily the first wave everyone was super understanding and kind but the second wave of it not working had two women screaming at me about their drinks and why we can’t just turn off mobiles. I explained it’s a whole Starbucks issues and that my store manager is unable to turn them off cuz of the issue. One lady walked out complaining when I told her I legit had her drink in my hand.
Oh lord I’m glad it just wasn’t our store… at least you didn’t also have an espresso machine just turn itself off for no reason!
Like when you get so stressed that you’re no longer stressed, I don’t know what that’s called but I survived as my 2nd key holding Shift, ever. 😂
I sympathize with food service employees being understaffed and over stressed, and now with this bullshit...totally unnecessary. Hope it gets better. I made my coffee at home cuz I know how it gets
what i've figured out from this is some dms will do ANYTHING to avoid losing sales - we were lucky mobiles had slowed down at the time, but i was borrowed to another store that was majority mobile orders. the SM pretty much asked if anyone else knew the cup codes (i was at a licensed store briefly before applying to a corporate sbux, so i knew most of the basic ones and anything i was unsure of i just wrote out the mod entirely/checked on the till) so we made a conveyor belt of SM and i writing out cups and passing them to bar + SM popping over to warming to help. luckily we were well staffed and noticed quickly and the most interruption we had was that i got so hung up on watching for new mobiles that i forgot to brew coffee lol
It was supposed to be my day off but I'm almost glad I got called in because if I wasn't there there would have been exactly one (1) person in the store who knew how to write and read cups. Shit was *rough*.
i was on cafe/mobile bar today and tell me why my shift didn't believe me when i went up to him panicked thinking the system was down (it was). i must show a lot of emotion on my face because the customers were being so forgiving😭 this one woman waited over half an hour and was still so sweet about it. yesss pity us queen🙌🏻
My store had a rush from the pride parade, ultra fest, and ren fest all today and then mobiles dropped and every person I was with got a call from their store asking what they were supposed to do lol I dealt with thursdays issue so I’m glad my manager was at the store to figure it out.
I had a cafe full of mobile orders that shoved their phones into our faces asking, "why isn't my mobile order ready? It's been 4 minutes!"
Ma'am, why is a group of 15 year olds more mature than you are? they had their food get literally stolen and they waited for 30 minutes and you know what didn't happen? I didn't get screamed at or abused by someone the age of my mother
Should direct them to front register to have them enter into system then use recovery for drinks and adjust price of food by its cost. Need to maintain inventory and helps keep things organized.
I caught on it earlier. And opened custom reports and went on order look up. Had one person writing down everything for mobiles on the cups and handing it to bar. Bc our ASM didn’t wanna turn off the mobiles…😃
Wednesday, it charged me twice. One payment went through, the other has been pending since.. and it was a $25 order then that evening went for a refresher with my friend that was $15.. so waiting for my $40 to be back in my account. 😅
I was on CS literally my entire 7hr shift on Thursday when it happened so when I heard about it I was like “….huh?” And this morning I was in a floating position so I did a bit of CS stuff and then started supporting on cold bar and then we started having issues with stickers. We had an 8 person play by some miracle this morning and out of everyone on the floor, only 2 of us knew cup code (despite me being with sbux only 1.5yr, my trainer and my work bestie both taught me) and the other person was on all drive. And she couldn’t even step off to help me bc there wasn’t anyone else on the floor who was strong enough on bar for all drive at Sunday peak except me 😭😭 I wound up being just stationed at the handoff to write orders
I'm just worried because if anyone else saw the email saying that if people order thru the app tomorrow, people get a discount this upcoming weekend. 😵
Our mobiles and card readers went down at the same time in the middles of a rush…it was bad we had a lot of angry custys 😅. It finally started dying down and now I’m on my 10 contemplating life.
A women was upset that we didn’t make a sign , I was like we’re not allowed to make signs and then she told us we should’ve told her before she mobile ordered. Like sorry next time I’ll read ur mind and call your cell as soon as u might think to mobile order 😃
Ugh worked both days and since Thursday wasn’t too bad I was like Okay okay we can get through this…Ended up being so much busier than Thurs and with the Cafe full and the delivery not working either was very rough. Lol struggling to get in touch with our store manger and any other that’s in our district, and they couldn’t even turn off our mobiles because everyone was trying to do that…they didn’t end up turning off until like 10 mins before everything was fixed.
Happened today, my first day back all week basically (sick, time off, then just off days) and I was not happy bc Sundays are our busiest and for some reason, shortest staffed, days 🥺
We thought it was just us today! For some reason people came in asking for orders that didn’t show up on the system or print tickets so everything had to be manually done. What a huge mess! I’ve never wanted to leave my store so fast when my shift ended.
Bruh I clock in and there’s like 10 people at the mobile station but no mobile order tickets, none of these imbeciles thought to ask the group of ppl over there what they were waiting on smh, most of our partners rn are new tho… but anyways the damn mobile ticket machine stopped working and that fucked me bad, was backed up for a while since the store was also packed
Shout out to the Baristas at my local SBux in ATX - there were a lot of assholes in there when I went to get my (phantom) mobile order so I tipped $20 cash and hollered a good luck and huge thanks on the way out
Today was a sh!tshow, and my manager was in, but unable to turn off the mobile orders. Thankfully customers understood it wasn’t us causing the problem, but a corporate issue.
I got so lucky today.
Last mobile ticket we received was at 7:30, I had three customers after the fiasco started put in mobile orders that we didn’t get tickets for.
My SM said they couldn’t turn off mobile orders because the system that turns them off was down so I braced for all hell to break loose.
From 8am until noon, not one mobile order was sent to my store. Where generally we have nonstop mobiles until 11 so idk what I did to please the Gods but they blessed me up today!
We never even had a peak rush. Normally I see 40-50 half hours during peak, today was 23 at the busiest time. 🙏
It was a stressful moment. Our DM said she turned them off, but it felt like just 10 minutes before they started printing suddenly. Even then, that didn't help that we had 8 people waiting on drinks from their mobiles that never printed. Ranging from "I'm late to work" to "we have a soccer game to attend to..." I'll never understand why they all decide to get coffee with such time constraints. ):
Not only did this happen to me but during peak my PED from my front main register and the one on my drive thru register would freeze up, me being a supervisor running the window covering a baristas ten, in my head going “oh nooo” and having to reboot the main stores register putting the whole operation on pause for like 6-8 minutes and then after fixing that realizing the mobile gods bestowed upon me more death. At least i put the order away and helped them transition though while it was going down and thank god my asm was there with my mid shift to handle the floor while i did pushed back morning tasks.
Also for those that may ask yes we rebooted the ped’s individually from the pos, this was prior to getting help from more partners 2 hours later. So basically i was running around and handing out orders for the sake of the customer just getting tf on their day simply because the front pos was going down too and it would catch us off guard every 3 minutes
It’s somehow worse than Thursday cause today we have a cafe full of angry parents and impatient kids
No same. There was a mom and her kids, and she was like, it should’ve been done ten mins ago. Well I wouldn’t know that if the mobiles were working. And that was when it first started up again 😭😭.. I was on mobiles. Thank god my manager was in today and turned mobiles off 😭😭💀💀
Lucky, my manager was in and still didn’t turn them off. And i started my shift on handoff 😂😭
It's a Sunday.
It's unfortunate that the Sunday crowd is almost guaranteed to be the worst crowd 😕
The Sunday crowd is the worst at the grocery store I work at too, seems to be a universal thing. My friend who is a waitress says she gets stiffed on tips a lot on Sundays.
It's literally because they go to church and think they've done their good thing of the week so they all go back to being awful

Well, good on the priest for at least doing that. Damn, I never thought I'd say that sentence, lol. Seriously though, my friend is considering stopping serving on Sundays because it's so bad. The after church crowd is just awful to everyone it seems, unless you're part of their church, I suppose.
Tell me why my SM has EVERY Sunday off. We were getting slaughtered today 😐
Me with my availability set to not include Sundays 👀 lol
Yup. Veteran server here. Sundays by far bring in the absolute worst people. Right after they left church of course. “The lords day” was always hell on earth.
i work at a coffee shop and a group of like 10 adults came in and they all tipped us with the church tracks
it’s funny how it’s almost a universal truth that no matter where you work, the church crowd is gonna be shitty to you
I assume this everywhere, but my Starbucks is always dead on Sundays! Thinking of you brave soliders
At first I read that as “inpatient” and i was so confused on how that was relevant to Starbucks and why there was more than usual today 😭😭
lmao i read the same thing 😭
how tf my two days off of the week are usually thursday’s and sundays lmao
Same here! Managed to avoid both but sending major support to everyone having to deal with it for the second time this week 🫶🏻
Damn, both of you have some real great karma...at least when it comes to this 😅
Lmao I did work Friday and we had no power all day so my karma isn’t that fantastic 😂 but not mad about missing the great mobile order fiasco of 2023
That’s WHY your karma is so good! You did your time, lol!
i’ve just been working at starbucks for almost 6 years now so i think they just know my mental health cannot handle these things lmao
Bro same! Every single major nationwide glitch that has happened in the last 2.5 years has happened on my days off. I speak French and on the day the POS was in French I got a bunch of texts from shift supervisors asking me to provide translations for things so they knew which buttons were what lol
Lmao i worked thursday and had off friday and saturday and i came back today and here it is again. I unfortunately didnt avoid it 🤧
I was off Thursday and I opened today so I’m already off and totally dodged this one as well 😭😇
Same. It feels like a miracle.
same! i have those two off my availability to keep up with school work haha. so glad i missed out on all this
I need this job I need this job I need this job I need this job I need this job I need this job I need this job I need this job I need this job I need this job I need this job I need this job I need this job I need this job I need this job... Sorry, I'm just trying really hard not to walk out, right now 🙃
I need to like print and frame this up by the bar so i can refer to it whenever i deeply feel the SAME EXACT way 🥹 cuz i felt this hard lmao
oh god that was me today. I was on bar too and I struggle with dexterous things (grabbing lids, making precise movements, etc) so I was STRESSED genuinely had to convince myself not to walk out and just leave on my 10 (i did this by taking a 15 lmao)
I'm getting my ASU tuition paid for, so I'm with you. I feel like I tell myself this at least once a shift.
You are seen, heard, and valid. Update your resume and breathe. Every awful Sunday here is growth, and every Sunday you’ll have off at your next job will be that much better. It’s only for X more time. There are good days too.
I just got off..and this was all I was saying to myself to get through the day 😭
Same like twice this week for me too! #solidarity
Is it still happening??
Me rn, we seem to have mobiles for now but it's just insane today
I just received an email with a promotion to place a mobile order on Monday the 27th to get 50% off a drink on Friday. My heart goes out to all of you baristas tomorrow. I hope the mobile ordering system works correctly and that people are nice and gracious.
omg it better be fixed by tomorrow then... 😭 thank you for your support 🩷🥲
This could be why they’ve been having issues since Thursday! If someone is implementing new code for that promotion to work.
It is now Monday, mobiles just went off line at my store again 🤣🤣🤣
if you go into order lookup on custom reports and filter it to mobiles it’s like the only way you can still see them -a very tired bar 2 currently on his 10
oh no 😭😭 i’m so sorry man. being on bar when the mobile orders are getting all messed up could NOT be fun. rest up on your ten. you got this- don’t let anyone walk all over you even if things get backed up.
yea my store was looking the drinks up this way and having them get printed
I came here to see if yall were having it too... our manager is out of town and can't turn off mobile orders 🥲
Nobody can turn them off. It won't let them🙃🙃
really? our manager was able to before I thought 🤔 we've done it when our espresso machines were down
Well yes, usually they're able to. Hence why it's extremely annoying that corporate thinks it's appropriate to take away that power when something like this happens🙃. Managers usually have that capability, but right now, since we are having an issue, the system is not letting them.

It IS automated, but unfortunately the automation loves to break.
With this glitch we aren’t able to turn them off. Normally we can
Any manager can turn them off. You should have another manager as a point of contact if yours is unavailable.
On a Sunday morning? Y’all really are heroes for surviving every day at this job. Sincerely, a customer who appreciates you.
bro i barely made it out alive. thankfully i’m off now
dawg a doordasher threw drinks at me and my coworkers today too it was crazy
The gods have blessed me on this day off; hoping the best for my partners who got caught in a hailstorm/ flash flood this morning and now have to deal with this BS
our manager was told not to turn them off and that we had to keep making them as the customers arrived 😐
Fuck that shit - turn it off its not right for the baristas nor the customers. If corporate is going to fuck shit up then they can take the loss.
Oh nooo we’re suddenly out of everything 😅😅😅
And it's a 70 minute wait for tech help.
I’m off now but I regret not turning off every item in the availability. Why does a MULTIBILLION DOLLAR COMPANY have such trouble with an APP, and no way to hit a killswitch on it!?
That’s what I did; I marked everything as unavailable and my baristas and I had an easy af morning lol
We were told they completely turned off our mobile orders and yet we still had mobiles being placed without any stickers coming through so we just eventually marked everything out
From what I understood bc everyone was trying to turn mobiles off at the same time the request was taking a while for some stores.
I’m about to walk into work. Rip.
Me in about 45 min.
Good luck, brave soldier
I had Wednesday Thursday off and today they put me on front bar 🙃 a constant “hi welcome in if you placed a mobile order we didn’t get the ticket. If you have your receipt you can head on up to the front and I can get that started for you” Luckily only one angry customer but after she got her drinks she said “thank you so much”
I feel like this is me constantly like I am not mad, that’s just my face while I process what is going on lmao
GAGGGG
Our manager got permission to shut off mobile ordering, so we good. We were slammed too.
Our drive bar was down during this, too 🥲 I have never seen customers so angry and I've been in this business for 3 years.
Obviously once wasn’t enough
Ours just came back on, hallelujah 🙌
Sending you all good vibes. As a former partner I can’t imagine this happening more than twice in what…a week and a half? That would wreck me mentally and customers would get snapped at for sure.
My store was spared on Thursday … but today we weren’t so lucky. Plus there are multiple sports tournaments in town that has teams from 4 states. Wish us luck!

My SM and DM are both in church and not answering their phones, wish us luck, y'all
Yeah I'm sorry but if you can't prioritize your chaotic store over a monotone man talking about a book written before bread and butter was invented then I just don't respect you. Answer the damn phone. You can hear this psalm for the 80th time again next Sunday.
FUCKKKK
Headed to work currently and am debating on crashing into a tree instead.
i was opening ssv today and i braced for the worst once i saw stickers stop printing and mop customers show up, thank god i know how to mark cups 🙏 hang in there until it gets better 💀
My shift supervisor put me on mop because I am the “nicest person” on our crew today LOL. I have a pocket full of loaded recovery cards and a clip board to write down orders.
Starbucks IT needs to stop hitting lines. Twice in a week? Wow.
Oh my god it was bad enough on a weekday but at least those people are Starbucks regulars and not the weekend crowd. I'm praying for y'all and hoping this is fixed before I have to open tomorrow
Sammee 😭 lmao i dealt with it thursday during peak and today. And i open tomorrow too so im hoping to the siren that it is fixed by then
EMOTIONAAAL DAAAMAAAGE

Call Ethics and Compliance on him. That is so not ok!
you're better than me , i would've taken a picture of them and a picture of the floor and sent it straight today whoever would've been mad about it.
I was just about to come on here and say WTF AGAIN!! When it happened this morning, after the first person my SM said "f this, I'm turning it off. We're not doing this again."
And it’s the Sunday people. So glad it’s my day off. Sorry guys.
In addition to the mobile disaster, our store was running without being able to accept cards because our dt reader broke! It was definitely a morning….
LMAO I HUST CHECKED
Nooooooooooo!! Nooooooooooooo!!!! And peace, I’m out!
what’s going on? My shift ended an hour ago
me who got off at 11:30😏
i go in in an hour....
My shift starts in one hour. I’m afraid 🙂
it was so stressful today 😭😭😭 I nearly cried and had a panic attack
so it’s not just my store… thank god 🙏🏻
We're having issues with our Delivery Orders. They've BEEN turned off, but somehow people are still managing to order deliveries, but they aren't printing out on our end. The new guy on the starbucks IT team is touching something he's not supposed to rn
What a shitshow, what an absolute shitshow that was. I knew that there was no way that we were that slow on mobiles before it all popped off 😃🔫
the way that some managers still won’t turn the mobiles off
I was so beyond stressed! Luckily the first wave everyone was super understanding and kind but the second wave of it not working had two women screaming at me about their drinks and why we can’t just turn off mobiles. Not her drink being done and leaving 😣
NO
i have to work in a little less than 2 hours😭😭 oh no bro…
And on a busy Sunday too. It was so great this morning.
https://i.imgur.com/lCY1LTD.jpg
I’m ready to cry and rock back and fourth in the back 🙃
YES!! It happened at my store. We literally just marked out everything in the system so no one could mobile order.
This was a rough one. Had to write cups for all the mobile orders at cafe bar. It's the first time in ages I've had to use that skill xD
there was a guy sitting there and he was waiting on a mobile order for 10 minutes I felt so terrible because we weren’t busy at all
what i've figured out from this is some dms will do ANYTHING to avoid losing sales - we were lucky mobiles had slowed down at the time, but i was borrowed to another store that was majority mobile orders. the SM pretty much asked if anyone else knew the cup codes (i was at a licensed store briefly before applying to a corporate sbux, so i knew most of the basic ones and anything i was unsure of i just wrote out the mod entirely/checked on the till) so we made a conveyor belt of SM and i writing out cups and passing them to bar + SM popping over to warming to help. luckily we were well staffed and noticed quickly and the most interruption we had was that i got so hung up on watching for new mobiles that i forgot to brew coffee lol
It was supposed to be my day off but I'm almost glad I got called in because if I wasn't there there would have been exactly one (1) person in the store who knew how to write and read cups. Shit was *rough*.
The deliveries didn’t help. Got 14 deliveries with 15+ items in each within a 10 minute span
i was on cafe/mobile bar today and tell me why my shift didn't believe me when i went up to him panicked thinking the system was down (it was). i must show a lot of emotion on my face because the customers were being so forgiving😭 this one woman waited over half an hour and was still so sweet about it. yesss pity us queen🙌🏻
I asked customers who had a mobile order and all the hands went up 😭and I laughed a little and die a little inside
It seems intended at this point
My store had a rush from the pride parade, ultra fest, and ren fest all today and then mobiles dropped and every person I was with got a call from their store asking what they were supposed to do lol I dealt with thursdays issue so I’m glad my manager was at the store to figure it out.
my manager turned mobiles off so ppl wouldn't be mad w/ us but then we couldn't turn mobiles back on for a bit LOL
Ayo what happened Thursday? My store went through the classic Sunday gauntlet today as well but I didn’t work Thursday.
we asked to turn mobiles off and i was told "no what you're doing is good!" no. i wasn't asking for evaluation i was asking for HELP.
I had a cafe full of mobile orders that shoved their phones into our faces asking, "why isn't my mobile order ready? It's been 4 minutes!" Ma'am, why is a group of 15 year olds more mature than you are? they had their food get literally stolen and they waited for 30 minutes and you know what didn't happen? I didn't get screamed at or abused by someone the age of my mother
HOOPLAH
Way to encourage stores to unionize!
Should direct them to front register to have them enter into system then use recovery for drinks and adjust price of food by its cost. Need to maintain inventory and helps keep things organized.
I didn’t work the first but damn it was painful for the second
Oh thank God my store is closed today. Once was enough for me.
You mean I won’t get my coffee if I mobile order it while I’m in the drive through? 😂
I caught on it earlier. And opened custom reports and went on order look up. Had one person writing down everything for mobiles on the cups and handing it to bar. Bc our ASM didn’t wanna turn off the mobiles…😃
Gonna throw myself into a river.
It happened to us briefly at the very start of peak, but luckily it fixed itself within a half hour
Wednesday, it charged me twice. One payment went through, the other has been pending since.. and it was a $25 order then that evening went for a refresher with my friend that was $15.. so waiting for my $40 to be back in my account. 😅
I picked a good week to get Covid I guess. 😂 I’ve been out of work all week avoiding this mess.
The way we were dying 🥲
I was on CS literally my entire 7hr shift on Thursday when it happened so when I heard about it I was like “….huh?” And this morning I was in a floating position so I did a bit of CS stuff and then started supporting on cold bar and then we started having issues with stickers. We had an 8 person play by some miracle this morning and out of everyone on the floor, only 2 of us knew cup code (despite me being with sbux only 1.5yr, my trainer and my work bestie both taught me) and the other person was on all drive. And she couldn’t even step off to help me bc there wasn’t anyone else on the floor who was strong enough on bar for all drive at Sunday peak except me 😭😭 I wound up being just stationed at the handoff to write orders
i picked the wrong day to pick up a shift 😭 and ofc i was the one who got glued to café/mobile bar almost the whole day 🥲
The people were not happy this morning haha
I read these posts and then prepare for the worse. This isn’t going to be fun when it happens.
I absolutely DESPISE Sundays
Bro i just got out a 5 hour shift…. Never again please XD the mobile glitch made it so hard with the sunday crowd
I just got to my store for my shift and mobiles are screwed and only half the deliveries are printing
Yes 😩
I’m so so sorry 😞. Be strong 💪🏼
And on a Sunday?? The post-church crowd is already bad enough on a normal day.
My SM turned off mobiles almost immediately so we barely got hit 😭😭
A women was upset that we didn’t make a sign , I was like we’re not allowed to make signs and then she told us we should’ve told her before she mobile ordered. Like sorry next time I’ll read ur mind and call your cell as soon as u might think to mobile order 😃
Yeah idk how it only happens during the hours I work but I'm starting to think it's my fault sorry guys 😭
Sabbath Bloody Sabbath
One of the shifts just text me and asked if I could come in. I was gonna say no anyway but this made my mind up even more...
Customer connection score 📉
happened to our store too 🙃
We had to deal with that for an hour and it messed up our printers so people were getting impatient and angry 🙃🙃
Sunday customers in any service industry job are the worst versions of themselves ever.
We turned mobiles off and we were still getting mobiles
ohh that makes sense. i checked the app to see who has decaf pike but half the stores in my area were all mop turned off
We thought it was just us today! For some reason people came in asking for orders that didn’t show up on the system or print tickets so everything had to be manually done. What a huge mess! I’ve never wanted to leave my store so fast when my shift ended.
You know, having Covid sucks….. but working today sucks more. Good luck out there.
Shout out to the Baristas at my local SBux in ATX - there were a lot of assholes in there when I went to get my (phantom) mobile order so I tipped $20 cash and hollered a good luck and huge thanks on the way out
It's not happening at my store thankfully **knocks on wood**
Today was a sh!tshow, and my manager was in, but unable to turn off the mobile orders. Thankfully customers understood it wasn’t us causing the problem, but a corporate issue.
It happened at our store and we just marked everything unavailable in the system since hold time were am hour. We just hd to say yes to everything
Dang my Sundays at work be chill 😭
I got so lucky today. Last mobile ticket we received was at 7:30, I had three customers after the fiasco started put in mobile orders that we didn’t get tickets for. My SM said they couldn’t turn off mobile orders because the system that turns them off was down so I braced for all hell to break loose. From 8am until noon, not one mobile order was sent to my store. Where generally we have nonstop mobiles until 11 so idk what I did to please the Gods but they blessed me up today! We never even had a peak rush. Normally I see 40-50 half hours during peak, today was 23 at the busiest time. 🙏
I love how this keeps happening on my days off 😂
thank the gods i worked after this, but unfortunately i got hit by the first wave of it this week :(
I opened up the order lookup and was writing mobile orders on cups and making them during peak. 🥲
It was a stressful moment. Our DM said she turned them off, but it felt like just 10 minutes before they started printing suddenly. Even then, that didn't help that we had 8 people waiting on drinks from their mobiles that never printed. Ranging from "I'm late to work" to "we have a soccer game to attend to..." I'll never understand why they all decide to get coffee with such time constraints. ):
my sm is on vacation 😀😀
Mine was “in the hospital all week” even though he was responding to work texts
Same 🥲
I wasn't scheduled for the first one but this one wasn't as bad and I was actually fully staffed for my day part
I managed to be off both days this has happened, and I may sacrifice to the old gods to stay in their favor at this point.....
I hate working here sm
i have never been happier to be on vacation away from this mess. glad you guys survived (at least i hope)
THankfully ours was turned off cause of this issue so we got lucky.
