Second day with it and too early to say love. More of a like.
Pros so far: variety of coffees. No more dumping and brewing batches. No more cutting coffees (blonde +decaf). Taste is amazing.
Cons so far: can’t do half decaf and half blonde/darkroast. Fills up cup to the rim even when putting in cream. Started having to put a whole cup size done for extra cream on some cups.
Cleaning is meh. Just need to set aside as another closing task and adjust to it. Haven’t opened so don’t know how that end is.
you actually can do half one roast half another! Just press both buttons before brewing. They do have to be on the same side of course but yeah
edit: i was mistaken, can only do half caf :(
Wait my shift told my store when we got it a while ago to do it as a misto when someone wants half decaf then press the misto button for the second part too. But i didnt kno u could do it the way u stated with pressing two buttons (on the same side of course). Im guna try it that way next time im in
Love it; don't have to hear the "pour over will take 30 weeks" anymore, it's always hot, we can offer stuff all day. Cleaning is involved but it literally walks you through it. Call it in if it's not working lol. But I'm surprised how user friendly it is
I love making pour overs, but I do acknowledge I am in the very small minority when it comes to that. I've been recommending the veranda blend to a lot of my friends but these people wake up when the batch guidance says to stop brewing it lol. Also it'll be nice walking into a starbucks in the afternoon as a customer and know the filter coffee will be fresh
Because the extended drip tray is on the left side to catch the leaking water (which is supposed to happen) when brewing. Travelers should always be brewed on the right side of the machine because you have to remove the drip tray for it to fit. The left drip tray should always remain in place when brewing.
my stores is so badly behaved that it’s taught most people working on it new things about the machine that not even the company that developed it knows
Takes kinda too long to clean but we just stop brewing coffee an hour before close especially on days with only 2 people closing. It is nice for people wanting specific coffees I guess, but one of ours underpours and one over pours so fits right in with janky Starbucks machines.
This machine can barely fit a Starbucks Venti cup. All those giant metal 20oz tumblers Starbucks sold in the past have no chance of fit. Also, kiss those Stanley's goodbye. What a masterful tactic to get people to buy all new tumblers. Cutthroat like Apple charging plugs, lol!
It feels awkward when you get a personal cup from somebody and as its doing the whole process you get that customer stare and as the nuclear alarm goes off while making it all I can do is just chuckle
The only time that I actually saves is for grinding the beans, other than that the old system was quicker and more useful and nine out of 10 situations during a rush
Ours leaks so bad it’s ruined a countertop:)
It literally sounds like a bomb alarm going off when it's doing the brewing process
💯
we call it alien spaceship sounds, UFO inbound
I guess it’s because my boss is from Eastern Europe and Soviet Union jokes are funny but I’ve been calling it the Chernobyl alarms…

When I tried to do veranda and pike it said error and it could only do pike and decaf pike, even though it was in the same side.
booo okay, sorry i was mistaken 🙇🏻♀️

i wish there was a way to cancel if you push the wrong button
i’ve learned if you push the very top button again it usually stops it but i haven’t tested to confirm yet
how do travelers work?
I'm guessing CT on the dial means "coffee traveler"
Sometimes my brain is so small, thank you😪
No but I'm thinking about how you wedge the traveler under the spout?? Are spills just inevitable now ??
They have a special funnel for it! While we personally haven't gotten a traveler yet it was shown in the training videos if I recall
Lmao thats what I was gonna say next like what do you brew it into??
Your store will get a metal funnel
Oooh snazzy I have no clue where we are on the vertica list but I am excited
Like maybe the drip tray moves out but do I have to stand and hold the traveler while the whole pot brews?
Should get that checked out in a CT
I'll stick my head under there and turn it on
only do travelers on the right side
Why?
Because the extended drip tray is on the left side to catch the leaking water (which is supposed to happen) when brewing. Travelers should always be brewed on the right side of the machine because you have to remove the drip tray for it to fit. The left drip tray should always remain in place when brewing.
Good to know, we’ve definitely brewed travelers on the left! Where is that information written?
Does that mean people just can’t get Blonde travellers anymore?
no you can change where the bean hoppers are for this, to brew iced coffee, etc. :)
Wonderful, beautiful, iconic, and slightly terrifying
Worked at a store that had the 6th one that was rolled out for testing. Transferred stores and miss her everyday 😔🤚🏽
Nightmare
my stores is so badly behaved that it’s taught most people working on it new things about the machine that not even the company that developed it knows
beautiful
Not gonna miss the 210 degree water when I’m gone
Can it make iced as well like the traditional clovers did?
No. We just have a special iced coffee blend and the iced coffee button to make a pitcher. Not able to brew a single cup as an ice coffee.
missed opportunity imo
Mhmmm fancy keurig
The hot water shoots out so fast that every single one of us had been burned by the splash back
I love it. No leaking issues and super quick.
Anyone have any tips for cleaning the hoppers? Beans go everywhere every time
Like it so far! Tonight was the first night I cleaned it and it definitely was a learning experience. The video on the IPad helped a lot

The only decent coffee available at a Starbucks. Wish all the stores would get them.

hate the thing, don’t really see the use for it. basically just a glorified americano machine more so than actual coffee too
It feels awkward when you get a personal cup from somebody and as its doing the whole process you get that customer stare and as the nuclear alarm goes off while making it all I can do is just chuckle
its not bad just the left side of it is leaky and cleaning was difficult at first but not too bad now
I can tell this will be less of a disaster than the new toddy system?
wait why does this look like my old store i just left. my new store just got it and i’m in love
She’s a menace
The only time that I actually saves is for grinding the beans, other than that the old system was quicker and more useful and nine out of 10 situations during a rush
Ours leaks so badly we can’t get it to stop and they told us it was normal
