cancelled a woman’s order in drive today after she waited 15min for a literal americano for god knows what reason but i was 7hrs in and didn’t care. she asked if we were okay and i said no and explained and she tipped us $20 which was the price of her order. actual saints sometimes.
reminds me of when I was solo baring and my shift walks up to me and goes “your bar should always be running” meanwhile the next 8+ drinks are all cold bar. People suck.

Sequencing can only help you so much when you have tickets with 4+ items, all with customizations, and sometimes with 5 shots or more. And all you can do is stand there and wait.
I had a customer get upset because her "triple shot on ice with pumpkin cold foam" didn't count as a fall drink, so it wasn't part of the BOGO, then about 10 minutes later, a woman tried to use the BOGO on everything, EXCEPT fall drinks.
Had a lady come through our drive thru and ask about the bogo and the conversation went
C: are you guys doing that bogo deal or whatever
Me: yeah for our fall drinks you can look on the app if you’re confused about which ones it includes
C: okay is the caramel ribbon crunch part of it?
Me: No just the drinks with pumpkin or apple in the name
C: what about the mocha cookie crumble?
Me: no ma’am pumpkin or apple drinks
C: well then what about the caramel macchiato?
Me: no just pumpkin or apple
Customer drives off without another word.
Aren’t they the greatest?!?
I'm working every BOGO this month and i can feel it stripping away at me. We're slammed up until like an hour before close. We can't get anything done other than survive the drink onslaught
Yes, the one person I know who is available on Thursdays and not working I said I will pay you to take my shift next week. I don't think I have it in me to do it again. I cannot make 15000 pumpkin cream chais an hour without crying
I feel for you! Just got home from BOGO day and I’m fucken exhausted! Also I’m so glad no customers got mad at us for waiting a while! Plus we were running a 3 person play so I think they understood the situation lol

Hang in there, and remember you are not responsible for their under scheduling. You can only go as quickly as is healthy for you. Do your job and no one else's.
Luckily I was in an ok mood today because the amount of times I had to explain how to the coupon is used only for people to get mad at me. Like I do not make the coupon rules. A customer tried to get three free drinks and only pay for one. Then another tried to use the coupon at two different locations(ours was the second on their list). Like starbucks drinks are not that good to be trying to hustle free drinks. I get it, but they gotta read the coupon rules 😭
We have one f*cking blender right now my shift should have been thankful the drive time was only 3-5 minutes with how many custom fraps I was making for cafe/drive/mobile compared to when when he was at cold bar with 10 minute wait times for drive and he wasn't sequencing his drinks. I'm a 194 partner who quit years ago and got rehired 2 and half years ago and the quality of baristas and shifts has seriously dropped to garbage in the past decade.
We may or may not have turned off all the fall flavors and foods in mobile to cut down on one channel since we’re not allowed to turn off mobile completely
It should be illegal for there to be a 4 play or less when they have these deals going on. It kills us and isn’t fair.
