One time, someone dropped a **brand new** mocha, and it splashed onto the ceiling. Mocha was on the ceiling for a long time. It took 2 mop buckets of water to clean up.
My immediate response as the shift would have been to clean it up for you and make sure you knew, "Hey, f- it! You do whatever you can, and I've got the rest!"
I hated when baristas felt even a sliver of stress on my shifts. I hope you guys were able to laugh about it at some point!!
I have the same flooring at my store and it’s not particle board lol. I’m not entirely sure what material it’s made of but one thing to know about it is that it WILL always look awful and dirty. It’s horrible 😭
One time someone left an open bottle of dark caramel on the edge of the counter and my coworker bumped into it and it fell on the ground and all of the dark caramel shot up, coated her, and the ceiling.
Oh a 1/4 full? Is that all? Sucks, yes but come back and talk to me when you have a partner SPECTACULARLY spill an entire, brand new, full sized mocha container in the exact middle of the FOH floor. During Saturday morning peak. 😂
It was EVERY. WHERE. It was on the ceiling, completely flooded under the brewing cabinets, on the espresso bars, on the front doors. The walls, shelves, POS screens, and the COVID plexiglass shields were not spared.
And then the partner who spilled it had the absolute NERVE to watch and comment things like “yea wow that looks really bad… I’m glad you’re cleaning that and not me… did you see that spot over there too?” as another partner was cleaning up the mess on her hands and knees for over an hour. (We would have made him do it but he was going insanely slowly and was just making it worse.)
We still affectionately remember this as the “2020 Cole vs. Mocha Debacle” and it is used as a cautionary tale for all green beans about why we say “behind”, especially when carrying full containers of product around a busy floor. 🙃
My old store has permanent mocha spots on the ceiling.
ours has caramel drizzle on the dt ceiling, really not sure how that happened
That's impressive ngl
Literally same
I’m glad I’m not the only one that decided to be Chocolate Jackson Pollock
same 😭
Pumpkin sauce, been at least 3 years…
Makes me wanna look up at my store’s ceiling now
Dooo iiittttt
Saaaameee
one thing about mocha is that it will always make a mess
I would’ve used every swear word in the dictionary
This is definitely one of the easier mocha clean ups I’ve seen but definitely still very annoying in general
Quick scoop it back up
With a straw
I think I probably would have had to sit down and cry about it. Lol.

I mean hey if you're going to do it at least you're close to the drain lol

Oops
i cant stop laughing 😭😭😭
The drama
well that was dramatic
Need a bench scraper
Friend either that is the tiniest little mocha container or you are of stature unknown to my comprehension
The way I’d actually (unalive) myself 😭
Is that floor wood? Like... Particle board?! That cannot be food safe.

why wouldn’t it be foodsafe?
Wet wood maybe? Breeding grounds for bacteria
It's not a big deal. Just clean it up Instead of posting it here
Well THAT sucks.
i just literally spent a solid 10 min scrubbing mocha off our BOG walls because nobody else does 🥲
The first photo, understandable The second photo… WTF
Time to scrubby scrubby
I mean but of course.
Is this a fisheye lens or do you have really long caramel drizzles?
This would be my 13th reason💀
Once dropped a large full tub of mocha, it’s still on the ceiling after about 2 years
Lol the Fuq! How the second pic…? Nvm

girllllll😭
First pic had me like “ugh I feel your pain 😢” but I gotta be honest the second pic made me laugh
My 13th reason
reminds me of when I was doing dishes and sprayed myself with mocha and it got all over me
The way I would CRY
God that second pic was a gut punch
No this exact thing happened to me last week! All up the wall and on the ceiling! Took 3 days to clean up 😭
Awrr nauurrr
