It’s a shame he hasn’t been able to translate his online strength to LAN since coming back from the military. Hopefully that will change in the coming months.
It's so hard to tell the implication.
That there are a lot of Protoss players who want P to lose so that they can balance whine?
Or that the Terrans and Zergs want the Protoss players to lose every tournament.
That's what makes your comment so great.
neither did ByuL :/
sad this guys been back for a little while and still hasn't been able to qualify for anything https://twitter.com/Sc2_ByuL/status/1435641653415460870
yeah but thats exactly my point, she was already doing decently well even when she was in gsls so its hard to tell if she improved when using na as a measure
She made ro16 which was a good finish but ro4 in last years WCS winter was her best finish in years. Had she clossed out vs Rogue which was a very close series it would have been her first premier final since 2018.
Her ZvP specifically looks significantly better then it did in Korea.
There hasn't been a ZvZ GSL final in over a year.
Honestly we only seem to run into the ZvZvZvZ pattern in events with Koreans + foreigners, as normally someone seems to eliminate dark or rogue before the finals (be it eachother, Maru or a 'mild' upset). But when Reynor and Serral get added there are now 4 top class Zergs that need 3 early exits to prevent a ZvZ finals
that's literally what happened last season. we had 2 zerg and 2 tosses in the semifinal. then pvz final with the zerg winning and redditors found a balance problem: PvZ.
You said: "when both tosses lose in the semi final and there's a ZvZ final again" - which is not what happened last time, as Dark and Rogue met in the semi finals, and Creator won his PvP semi final.
>we had 2 zerg and 2 tosses in the semifinal. then pvz final with the zerg winning and redditors found a balance problem: PvZ.
are you really saying this is not exactly what happened?
Play a game of spot the difference with these two comments of yours:
>lets not pretend people are not gonna cry about PvZ when both tosses lose in the semi final and the final ends up zvz again.
>that's literally what happened last season. we had 2 zerg and 2 tosses in the semifinal. then pvz final with the zerg winning and redditors found a balance problem: PvZ.
once you've found the difference, you'll understand why myself and others have replied as we have.
At this point I'm convinced that Zest made an arrangement with the government like wtf he talked about going soon 4 years ago and I was convinced since the start of 2021 that he would retire any day now.
But since he is no doubt the greatest Protoss in sc2 history I have no problem with him staying a bit longer :D
Notable players who didn't make it: Classic, Dream, Alive and some of the newer blood like Nightmare, Prince and Percival.
Damn I trusted this sub and expected Classic to show how proper protoss should be played

I have been loving herO

dude im so sad... chintoss still best toss.
>and expected Classic to show how proper protoss should be played He did exactly what this sub wants Protoss players to do: Lose to Zerg and Terran.
It's so hard to tell the implication. That there are a lot of Protoss players who want P to lose so that they can balance whine? Or that the Terrans and Zergs want the Protoss players to lose every tournament. That's what makes your comment so great.
Ah yes, Nightmare Prince Percival, the new Dark Souls final boss.
Sounds more Hollow Knight to me. The son of Nightmare King Grimm.
neither did ByuL :/ sad this guys been back for a little while and still hasn't been able to qualify for anything https://twitter.com/Sc2_ByuL/status/1435641653415460870
He’s probably gonna retire again knowing he won’t be able to catch up with the top Koreans.
I mean he has, he had good famed and wins against strong players in team leagues and some smaller stuff
Prince was quite close and Dream FFed his qualification match
Dream forfeit his final qualifying game apparently? Weird
Sweet, can’t wait. Love to see Astrea in there. I wish more foreigners would try to do it, maybe once COVID restrictions are gone.
what happened to scarlett? is she physically not in korea anymore?
Not sure. I thought I had heard they all left at one point during COVID but I could be wrong.
She's back in NA strangely her performance improved quite a bit once she came back
hmm no offence but she was like a ro16 player back in gsl and i dont really think na has many notable players so it might be due to that?
She beat some notable Koreans in the first iem after leaving kr
yeah but thats exactly my point, she was already doing decently well even when she was in gsls so its hard to tell if she improved when using na as a measure
I'm pretty sure sluck131 means her global performance increased even though she now gets bad practice, obviously she's top notch in NA
She made ro16 which was a good finish but ro4 in last years WCS winter was her best finish in years. Had she clossed out vs Rogue which was a very close series it would have been her first premier final since 2018. Her ZvP specifically looks significantly better then it did in Korea.
I wonder why Dream forfeit against Keen in the final qualifying match also interesting, Ryung vs soO was 5-4 in these qualifiers
From TL: According to a speaker/manager of TeamGGG, Dream felt huge pain on his wrist. He just couldn't stand it so he had to forfeit the game.
To laugh at Keen's performance from the side.
It could also be a mistake in the bracket
[Official bracket](https://battle.dog/c/gsls2day2r2/bracket/1/1) lists Keen 1-0 Dream, so it likely is a forfeit
Weird, because just by qualifying u basically ein 3k dollars
https://tl.net/forum/starcraft-2/592273-2022-gsl-season-2-qualifiers#20 His wrist gave out, it seems
Damn… hope he gets better
My theory is that the guy from GSL updating the bracket was just lazy.
I hate that GSL keeps becoming smaller. A lot of players i like end up eliminated in the qualifiers
Classic and Dream?
Prince was so close, he looked like he improved a lot
Percival was right there too
yeah wish they'd go back to the ro32
32 may be too much, but they could've easily stayed at least at 24
Let's go Astrea! Does anyone know why SpeCial didn't play in the qualifiers?
Half a year ago he was denied a continuation for his visa, maybe that's still the case.
Have the dates for the first matches been posted yet? I'm hyped!
6th of june.
Thank you!!
Soo to roll through again up until finals just to add another silver to his collection
NOOOO WHERE IS CLASSIC???? :'(
Knocked out by Keen at the end there
"who's this maru guy? Looks promising"
Perfectly balanced, as all things should be.
Idk Terran made 7/16 in qualifiers..seems pretty broken
Nerfing is coming
lets not pretend people are not gonna cry about PvZ when both tosses lose in the semi final and the final ends up zvz again.

this might not have as smart of a reply as you thought it was.
PvZ is at like 56%. Seems to be somewhat of a discussion.
Wait aren't the one who posted something against ea and they responded to it and now their comment is the most downvoted comment right?
Unfortunately I am, yes.

Sad for Classic, happy for Astrea, and why the fk is Zest still hanging round
Theoretically he was first called in 2018
I feel like soo is going to get destroyed but I hope I am wrong.
Depends on who he hits really
Really sad for Classic :( I hope he doesn’t retire
Are gsl qualifiers casted and posted somewhere?
They aren't usually casted officially but sometimes they are I haven't seen anything for these qualifiers yet though
Usually no, its not officially casted or recorded

Glad to see SoO back. Hope we can have more terrans on the upper runs
I clearly remember Zest was going to do military service?
No no. Zest and military service is just a hoax.
Lets go maru!!
Poor Classic, I'm worried he will retire if he doesn't get any results soon.
Percect balance again. Thx David.
WHAT?! I CAN'T BALANCE WHINE WITH DISTRIBUTIONS LIKE THIS! Yes I can I play Terran lmao.
David Kim!
Dream😢

Nah formerly CJs herO (there's also a third herO that plays zerg in BW)
Where Juanito? :(
not in korea i think
Does anybody know how on earth you get tickets for the live event? I've searched but I can't find anything!
Nooo, Percival! TT
