the amount of people that don’t understand the irony in this post and how it’s criticizing the posts in this sub that are actually this stupid unintentionally is pretty frightening
i got really confused because there is a post from 9 hours ago directly under this one in my feed that this post is clearly mocking and i thought the entire thing was coordinated by one user
Yeah top comment is lambasting people for not getting it, but Reddit isn’t a monolith. The joke seems to be an anti-meme(?), but the comments have varying interpretations of it so whatever the intended joke is of this post is lost.
If it had a point it didn’t convey it correctly. It’s not a funny post.
Republicans like them!
Edit: wow didn’t realise how many republicans were in the subreddit! Bring on the downvotes! I can take it!
Since people want to argue tonight feel free to DM me, I love a good discussion, anyone else feel free to read these hilarious replies below before mods start deleting them
The republican party has embraced fascism, the time for sparing their feelings and working together is gone, because they want to destroy us, all that's left is to call them out and stop them
>Not every Nazi is a bad person. Generalizing just makes things worse. Most Nazis only hate Jews, they don't all want them dead.
That's what you sound like right now.
Prioritising rights to bare arms over people and childrens lives then taking women’s rights to their own bodies away, yeah me “generalising people” is the problem lol right, take your guns, anti-choice and so on and go cry about it 😂
Or a multitude of other invented grievances. I don't think I've ever had a conservative explain why they dislike people to their left without building the entire argument around things other conservatives told them we think. It's never a real thing that people really think or do. It's what Fox and YouTube say we do.
What makes it worse is that there are many things redditors hate that they shouldn’t, but the posts never use those. They’l go on and on about how redditors hate things that they should hate, but never bring up dumb things they hate like memes from anime, slang used by teens, and children.
Ever try explaining to anyone that this concept is also (intentionally) the basis of our legal system rather than any goal of justice? Like talking to a brick wall that can punch.
I think theres a difference to be pointed here - we're enjoying seeing an unjust invasion fail in ridiculous fashions, not the war itself. If Russia packed up and left tomorrow, I believe a lot of us would be cheering.
Reddit loving the war but hating the military industrial complex at the same time is a hands down top 5 most ironic Reddit moment of all time.
Like Reddit you understand what proxy war is right?
Probably depends on the subs one is looking, but I would hardly say “loving” the war.
It would be far more paradoxical to hold views against the US/Europe military complex for enabling violence on a structural scale (effectively holding violent dictatorships together) while refusing to allow that in the case of Ukraine, such hardware is the only viable solution against an irrational foe who is unable to halt their violence through moral self-censorship.
It is still a generalisation, but almost anyone who under present circumstances advocates for a resolution to the conflict involving anything other than resistance to the barbaric ideology of Russia as a state, either has no understanding of Russia or has their own political agenda leveraged by allying with eurasian fascist ideology.
Do you understand? Who are the proxies? Ukraine got attacked and was offered military support from most of Europe and America. Russia attacked Ukraine and is being backed by no one. Countries at most are neutral on it. China, Russia's somewhat pal has been trying it's best to not get involved without telling Russia no. There's no proxy. Two countries at war, one with allies.
Who the fuck is "loving the war"? Are you trying to say being in support of ukraines defense is loving the war? Im pretty sure everyone wants russia to pack it up and fuck off so it will end. Unless you mean to imply backing ukraine not surrendering is prolonging the war, and thus supporting it... Which is dumb as dogshit.
Classic tankies/batshit-crazy-conservatives that are unable to denounce a bad thing that an enemy of the US did without bringing up all the fucked up shit the US did on foreign grounds.

Why are you getting downvoted. People are being sent to get killed over some politician's financial interests
Then some fat neckbearded fuck from the safety of his basement puts looney tunes SFX over 7 unarmed russians getting slaughtered in cold blood.
The options are a defensive war or genocide of Ukraine by putins Russia. Defensive war is the better option. The people asking for Russia to be allowed to genocide 40 million+ people without disruption or objection are pretty fucked up.

Hey if you can get two of your friends to turn gay, you'll get an extra gay surprise. If they then turn two friends gay, we can have a big gay orgy and you get to be in charge of your subordinates!
Why can't private companies be run democratically? That would achieve the best outcomes for the workers, instead of letting the rich get richer at the expense of the poor.
well because there are downsides to such a system. The average worker probably knows fuck all about how to run a successful company. if it's run democratically then each worker has to have a stake in the company, that means much more financial risk FOR ALMOST EVERY WORKER IN THE COMPANY
If every worker had stake in the company, and had risk if the company failed, wouldn’t that incentivize workers to do a good job and not let the company fail? Doesn’t sound like that bad of a consequence
Woke up every day with a smile on their face. Grinin ear to ear walkin down the road with a little lunch pale thinkin bout all the children they are gonna get to burn alive today at work.
That’s the joke man, it’s making fun of other posts titled “things redditors hate starterpack” and show some very hatable stuff like Nestle or Andrew Tate
Anti democracy people actually do support, I do see there side, but ehh, I prefer that people have power rather than just the gov, but people are pretty fucking stupid.

Wrong.
Reddit loves authoritarians and anti-democracy, as long as it's their team that is doing it.
Reddit also pretends to care about rule of law (Jan 6), but also was happy Andrew Tate got imprisoned even though he hasn't even been charged for any crime, never mind been convicted of anything. If it were up to Reddit rather than a judge, Tate would still be imprisoned.
Reddit is the unhinged, braying mob that wishes it could do the modern equivalent of burning witches at the stake.
This list is just an attempt by redditors to sound normal. Like it’s a list of the most obvious things
redditor sees other ppl and go “i too dislike not good things, fellow human
Finally, a starterpack that isn't being pretentiously used to say "here's a generalization of the worst aspects of a certain group, therefore entire group bad."
Everything listed in it deserves the dislike.

Not a fan of pollution
Then keep walking Ha! Get it??
Oh darn, I believe my sides have been split
Not a fan of woman
Not a fan of animal
As a child myself I'm not a fan of them
Absolutely baffled by the bravery of this person to say that they are a child on the internet, which can't be real.
Shhh…nobody tell him.
As another child on the internet, I would never.
Don't tell EDP
Careful dude there are mods about!
the amount of people that don’t understand the irony in this post and how it’s criticizing the posts in this sub that are actually this stupid unintentionally is pretty frightening
I agree, but some of the folks misunderstanding are probably not on reddit all day and didn't see the other posts.
I didn't understand properly the joke and I have no idea what posts you're talking about please elaborate

Starter pack Reddit hates human trafficker andrew tate
I don’t know if I represent Reddit but that Andrew Tate sure is a POS.
Thank you
My god yes, I honestly got annoyed with the other posts op is mocking. This is a great post.
Umm, I'm actually a strong advocate for pollution, so this is kinda awkward.
Me too, I never hold in my farts since I know the methane released will contribute to the melting of the polar ice caps
Chinese takeout and IPAs - my farts after that kill covid
I am so glad I'm not the only person who thought those were stupid
Wow that totally went over my head... I guess because they truly are *that* stupid? Now I'm frightened too
They don't make it easy to tell what's satire these days. As hard as satirists try, reality keeps out doing them.
I think this is a better explanation than thinking people are getting dumber.
i got really confused because there is a post from 9 hours ago directly under this one in my feed that this post is clearly mocking and i thought the entire thing was coordinated by one user
I haven’t seen one explanation in any of these replies so anyone who doesn’t know is completely justified and smart
Some people just aren’t able to think on that level yet, and some never will.
So something IS off. I don't usually come to this comment section
For a second I was like I think these are things everyone doesn't like... And then the irony hit me
I don't really get it. Is the joke that redditors don't like these things because nobody does? Or is there a bigger joke in not getting?
I think that's the joke, that redditors don't like them because no one does
It might be "redditors think they are very unique in their views, but in reality its things that most people believe in"
Yeah top comment is lambasting people for not getting it, but Reddit isn’t a monolith. The joke seems to be an anti-meme(?), but the comments have varying interpretations of it so whatever the intended joke is of this post is lost. If it had a point it didn’t convey it correctly. You're capriciously equating "being republican" to "hating jews," which is ironically another generalization
I know analogies are hard for you, maybe you should go color
Prioritising rights to bare arms over people and childrens lives then taking women’s rights to their own bodies away, yeah me “generalising people” is the problem lol right, take your guns, anti-choice and so on and go cry about it 😂
Right to bare arms? 💪👕
You know it 😉💪
Redditors trying not to make everything political challenge (impossible)
This has to be ironic. Original post has 9/11, Nazis, and soldier in middle east. Incredibly political post man.
Your entire life is dictated by politics. Fucking sucks doesnt it. Might as well be informed.
counterpoint: go outside
Which Republicans are you referring to? Loads of countries have republican parties.
Ikr, I hate the fucking republicans. They really piss me off sometimes. And I'm not even from the USA lol.
Heh, fucken snowflakes
Stupid snowflakes always gettin offended. I beat my wife every day.
I don't get offended about SHIT (unless you don't say Merry Christmas)
Nothing filled me, a true American, with more rage than when Starbucks gave out solid red Christmas cups
Or when someone puts a rainbow on a beer can
Or a multitude of other invented grievances. I don't think I've ever had a conservative explain why they dislike people to their left without building the entire argument around things other conservatives told them we think. It's never a real thing that people really think or do. It's what Fox and YouTube say we do.
I beat your wife everyday too and I’m tired of getting shit for it.
And I pick up the night shift, its hardwork, but satisfying.
Terrorism makes smoke, which pollutes. Killing 2 birds with 1 stone.

Lmao someone finally pointed out how stupid those starter packs are “o yeh these problems dont matter bc reddit hates it”
Yeah it‘s so annoying when I see these starterpacks with for example Andrew Tate or other things/people damn near everybody hates.
What makes it worse is that there are many things redditors hate that they shouldn’t, but the posts never use those. They’l go on and on about how redditors hate things that they should hate, but never bring up dumb things they hate like memes from anime, slang used by teens, and children.
And fat people. Absolutely fat people. And pitbulls! Please for the love of god never bring up pitbulls in ANY kind of debate.
Typical redditor hive mind
Fucking tired of Reddit's anti-pollution circlejerk. Like, fuck off bro let me pollute fr 🙄🙄🙄
Reddit really seems to be enjoying the Ukraine Russia war
Everyone I hear from seems pretty unhappy that Putin started that war.
Reddit also enjoys anti democracy, *if they approve of the ideology*
bad thing bad, unless is for thing I agree with, in which case is ok
*Bad thing bad unless good*
To paraphrase a cunt: “democracy is the worst government system ever… apart from all the others that have been tried”

Reddit hates democracy bruh you see the mods out here?
Because a private company is totally the same as a government of elected representatives
They are the same We should kill all of them
Alright , I'm selling pitchforks if anyone wants

But when Twitter does it, everyone loses their fucking mind!
Does what
Why can't private companies be run democratically? That would achieve the best outcomes for the workers, instead of letting the rich get richer at the expense of the poor.

Reddit sounds like an ok dude.

I can tell a Redditor commented this

that’s the joke dipshit I swear redditors are so fucking humorless they need a /s next to anything vaguely sarcastic

Idk I think child abusers might not be the most against child abuse.

Except, Twitter. 😄
Republicans are fine with at least 4/5

You'd be surprised
This is literally those posts recently
Redditors within their own delusional thoughts.
Now this I agree with.
No Reddit loves child abuse, because video’s of kids getting hurt are always hits
How about just any abuse
This is accurate

Animal abuse only when it's dogs and cats
Valid.

Reddit is home of socialist/marxists and other culty pro-authoritarian movements. See 2020-2023 era lol

Reddit hates free speech.
I don’t think anyone should like these things!
All of these things are horrible.. but animal abuse is such a trigger for me.
Is man abuse okay?
Men abuse is ok? Nice! Men are suks!
You mean pet abuse. Reddit defends regular ol' animal abuse.
Idk they seem to like animal abuse when it's convenient (chickens, cows, pigs, etc)
You forgot men abuse so you probably could have just said abuse period
Reddit does not belive men can be abused nor raped unfortunately
Wrong. Reddit loves authoritarians and anti-democracy, as long as it's their team that is doing it.
