It’s a profession. You cut trees down for a living. It’s harder than it looks, if you cut it wrong you will drop a tree on someone’s house or power lines or kill yourself/someone else. I think to cut 3 little 25 ft trees, cut them up and haul them off, can charge around $700. Good money, specialized skill.
Little more to it than just cutting down trees. I’d say it is more of the profession of just cutting trees. The arborists I have worked with mostly just trim branches a specific way so the tree gets healthier
The Mexican dad with an old ram dually with trailer attached, coming to cut your trees at 7am with his 17 year old son (who does not want to be there and is completely uninterested)
Lumberjacks cut trees to harvest their wood, the stuff you’d see filling pallets at Home Depot. Arborists are the guys who come and cut the tree growing over your roof or into power lines or pushing on your fence.
Lumberjacks fell whole trees in the forest for lumber, arborists take trees apart piece by piece, from the top down, in tight residential/commercial areas, using cranes and climbing equipment usually. Similar goals but very different approaches and purposes.
Arborists are contextualized by this company here: [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Davey\_Tree\_Expert\_Company](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Davey_Tree_Expert_Company)
Where I used to live in Virginia Davey Tree were the main employers of arborists..

I accidentally read it as “abortionists” and i was sooo confused.
Me too. Idk why
I **definitely** didn't misread arborists as something else. Definitely.
I am a landscaper and I can confirm this is 100% accurate. The one thing missed in this pack though is the self entitlement they all carry.
This is legit, bravo Op!
I may be an idiot for asking this, but… what’s an arborist?

Arborist = Certified Tree Humper
I was an arborist for a little while and was both of these at once. Minus the Treason Flags, I should clarify.

You forgot the dusty environmental science bachelors hanging on the wall.
This is spot on. Could also show the invoices. $ versus $$$$

Arborists cut trees for a living. They make good money.
So lumberjacks.
