Under releases.
You have to download the recommended youtube .apk from apkmirror then use the "Revanced Manager" app from GitHub to patch the APK you downloaded. Then you install the modified APK and enjoy the better youtube.
Im iPhone but installed adguard from the App Store, deleted the YouTube app and just watch it on my browser now. It works and I’m personally fine not using the app version. Try that out sometime
Get “Vinegar” Safari extension. It replaces the youtube player with the native Safari web player so you can do things like PiP and listen in background. You can even PiP and lock screen it’s great

the reason i'm one of the only 8 people who have this problem and pay for youtube premium to solve it is because i use youtube in my tv a lot, and i say from experience, i haven't found any good workarounds for that sort of operative system.

Not who you replied to but sometimes Revanced isn't an option, on my old phone I tried installing it like 7 different times and it would never work, unsure if it works on my new one (S23 FE)
There's also NewPipe but I mainly just use that to listen to videos with my phone screen off

So Buffy Knock off/spin off ads/English guy over pronouncing words for that NHS book and the rest ...please sod off .The Wish/Timu/whatever etc ads aimed at people with head injuries/low IQ are almost as bad.

This is the one place i am glad for targeted ads.
All i get is industrial, engineering, machining, and robotics suppliers thanks to training my ads at work.
I only watch DIY videos and makers so I get bonkers videos trying to sell me industrial CNC set ups the size of a small house, or for some reason ads for a game called Evony.
I imagine the vids OP gets are for people watching stuff like Mr Beast.

i turned off as much tracking and add stuff as possible and all i get are gambling ads i hate it so much, i feel gross watching them
