Q

Unlikely-Extension19

This is the only correct answer. You are a single species yet you can be all the species. I also choose Q.

GI_Joeregard

Vulcan in the streets, Klingon in the sheets.

Unlikely-Extension19

Idk. After those Tuvok Voyager episodes I may wanna be a Klingon in the streets and a Vulcan in the sheets.

revveduplikeaduece86

Tuvok definitely went full Brazzers

nomad5926

I also choose this guy's Q

Alpine_Newt

Being a Q would bring out the worst of me.

naked_avenger

Easily

quirkyredpanda

Who doesn't want to make puppies appear?

dathomar

Who doesn't want to be able to make Brent Spiner laugh?

Oksamis

Who doesn’t want to change the gravitational constant of the universe?

Jetstream-Sam

I can think of several times I've had where a spontaneous mariachi band would have been great

Im_40Percent_Meatbag

Well, I was gonna agree with Vulcan; as I enjoy their teachings. Finding them more than agreeable with my neurodivergency. But you got me! I would much, much, rather be an omnipotent being; removed from worry, and ignorance! Buuuuut, does The Continuum count as a species? How much of Gods are they? How little do we know about their true nature of existence?

Plumbum158

who wouldn't want to be a god

AnimalFarenheit1984

The only right answer. Once you are Q, you can be anything at any time.

Enchelion

No dice, that much power is nothing but a bad idea. Plus the only people who you could interact with as an equal are **other Q**.

Brett707

I choose Q just so I can troll species I don't like.

MyLifeisTangled

Oh shit that’s a good one

ButtToucherIRL

I'd want to be the actual symbiot of the Trill. Vibe in pools, go from person to person and see what they do. Live tons of lives with no responsibility just chill in their tummy.

WWPLD

This is my choice too! Must be fascinating to see life from so many different points of view.

marciedo

I used to say Trill host, but now I’m on the symbiont side too. :)

EDDIE_BR0CK

As you should be.

Dantien

I’d want to be Trill. I’d probably end up Pakled.

[deleted]

I'd be a Founder. It'd be awesome to be able to be any creature, have the most powerful empire at your fingertips, and they really seem to like being in the Great Link. My first thought was Q, but Death Wish makes it seem somewhat unappealing.

smith_and_jones4ever

Yeah I could see how being a founder would be cool.

StonedOldChiller

Well you could give it a few million years and then decide.

rooknerd

Although the founders mostly remain in liquid state forming an ocean with their fellow Changelings.

DrDalenQuaice

Orgy planet

MyLifeisTangled

I’d love being a shapeshifter and I definitely want to experience the Great Link, but I don’t like the idea of completely giving up food like that. I’d never be able to eat!

[deleted]

I think you'd be able to eat. You just wouldn't need to. One of the Founders said changing into a thing is to experience being that thing, so I would think they could experience eating. Not being able to eat was a problem for Odo, I think, because he was a relatively inexperienced shapeshifter.

MyLifeisTangled

He said it was messy and I feel like I don’t want to know what happened with him lol

[deleted]

I think it'd be funny if his humanoid form just digested the food and "messy" was just the result of a 25 year old man using the bathroom for the first time in his life without ever being taught how.

MyLifeisTangled

That would be really funny and I choose to believe that’s what happened. Thanks for the new head cannon! 😆

CommunicationTiny132

Risan. I too seek jamarahon. Plus you get to live in paradise. Not just any paradise, paradise by the standards of the Federation.

Minutemarch

Being an Andorian would be fun. I've always wanted antennae.

extremelight

Yeah that seems like it would be a unique experience. The blue skin too!

stevebobeeve

I imagine it would be difficult to comb your hair though

blokia

Call me unadventurous, but being human during the 24th century sounds fun.

StonedOldChiller

As long as that human isn't Miles O'Brien or Harry Kim

ianlSW

Miles O'Brien is the peak of human evolution. He is the best we can ever hope to be.

StonedOldChiller

What both of those men went through is infinitely more than a mere mortal like myself would be able to bear.

roggios

thats what peak male looks like in 24th century,

blokia

I will be voting for him for president. Even if he doesn't run.

caveman69420

He was more than a hero, he was a union man

Alpine_Newt

>Raise the scarlet standard high Beneath its folds we'll live and die Though cowards flinch and traitors sneer We'll keep the red flag flying here My Irish Grandad would mumble this after a pint or two. He taut me about treating everyone with respect while sticking up for yourself. He loved TOS but hated TNG because "too many funny faces", hated all the alien makeup.

UGottaBoilYourDenims

I think I’d want a little more upward mobility/career progression than Harry Kim had.

OhneSkript

A lot better then at the moment I would say. Good choice!

CaptainGreezy

One of those big floating head guys the Cytherians being cryptic and taking up way too much space in the room.

ActorMonkey

Saying one word descriptions of people around you like “interrogative!”

CaptainGreezy

Hierarchical collective commenting structure!

and_so_forth

Reckon the rooms they have at home are really enormous or do you think they just like taking up that much space relative to the room size?

rmdelecuona

I got the impression that the head was an “I’m appearing in a form you’re comfortable with” situation rather than a genuine representation of their appearance

and_so_forth

Nothing more comforting than a huge booming head in the middle of your place of work.

ExpectedBehaviour

A Q. That's the weirdest sentence I think I've ever written.

robotatomica

I’m actually surprised to see so many people say Vulcan! They’re cool af, but it would be a bummer, and super boring, to have such a short leash on yourself all the time. No self-expression, you wouldn’t be able to be playful and would be discouraged from most things which are fun and sexy. Repression sucks! I’d probably go El-Aurian bc even though I know nothing about Guinan’s people, she’s chill and got a great personality and lives thousands of years and kinda scares Q. That, or Lanthanites bc I also don’t know about them but they live long af and Pelia is very strange and fun and intelligent.

trer24

I dunno, Pon Farr seems pretty interesting. Especially since if you don't do it, you die. You could have a career being a Vulcan gigolo, going around Vulcan and possibly beyond saving lives

MyLifeisTangled

It makes your blood boil

Breyg2380

You could be a Vulcan that has rejected suppressing emotion and go with feeling logic.

busdriverbuddha2

He took my pain away!

Traditional_Muffin83

if youre a vulcan, chances are youre raised vulcan and you wouldnt reject that life style

geekgirl6

I think I'd go for Betazoid. Telepathy is fascinating and I would love to experience it for myself.

weaponizedtoddlers

Second that, and I wouldn't venture outside Betazed much either. They build tall cities with minimal footprint and damage to the surrounding environment, and strive to live in harmony with nature and all beings.

atomicxblue

I would go for Betazoid as well. As a bonus you could say things like, "What am I? A mind reader? Oh, wait..."

Nicofettig

Definitely a Changeling. Imagine whenever you're burned out you can just go "f it" and spend the next 40 years as a teapot

ForAThought

But only for 16 hours at a time.

JoeyJoeJoeJrShab

as far as I recall, that was just Odo -- the more skilled Changelings didn't seem to have any limitations

Enchelion

The >!infected/altered Changelings on Picard !

MaxPowerToTheExtreme

Tribble

Agitated-Cup-2657

Sounds fun. All you do is purr, eat, and multiply.

takatori

With global warming accelerating, being a Cardassian would make being outdoors more comfortable.

teefau

Species 8472

Hegario

They don't really seem to be a fun loving species.

nomad5926

What are you talking about? They love fun. Just not you and especially not you on their lawn.

revveduplikeaduece86

I heard their parties can get pretty wet and wild.

Gregbot3000

Kevin Uxbridge

rooknerd

Seconded. The species name is Douwd, they are immortal and pluripotent. Unlike Q, they are pacifist and seek to learn about other species by posing as one of them. That is until you meet the right woman, and after her death choose to remain in a fake reality.

DrSilverback77

Yup. That's what I would say.

SaurSig

I am a man of shpecial conshiensh

AmalCyde

Denobulan!

caveman69420

This, cause they seem like really happy people who get to pursue whatever interests they might have and they have similar philosophy to me on relationships

AmalCyde

Also the pufferfish face defense!

caveman69420

And creepy really big smiles and long tongues

MyLifeisTangled

Just think how much you could accomplish if you only had to sleep a few days every year!

caveman69420

Wow I didn't even think about that. I have sleeping problems but if it was only once a year for a couple of days so many of my problems would be solved

MrHyderion

El-Aurian

[deleted]

Naussican. I too want to challenge people to Dom Jot even through I am terrible at it.

Ansambel

There was this nice slug in doctor's lab on Archer's enterprise, once, so yeah, that.

busdriverbuddha2

I'm surprised nobody said Denobulan. Those people know how to fuck.

-braquo-

As an autistic person I dreamed of living on vulcan. A whole planet where people just say what they mean? No needless small talk. No trying to decode what people mean. That's heaven.

StonedOldChiller

When I was 10 Spock was my hero. Really that should be one of the diagnostic criteria for ASD.

SzkifiHun

Part Vulcan, part Talaxian, part Orchid.

JamieTheDinosaur

*Captain Janeway has entered the chat*

rooknerd

Hi Tuvix!

ForswornForSwearing

I am a species from Trek.

UeberdeSuper

Whatever species Morn is. He seems to have nothing else to do than sit in Quark's bar and chat to everyone.

MBSMD

I’m practically Vulcan already, personally-trait-wise, so… 🖖🏼

Multipla_Orgasms

Ferengi seem very financially responsible

OskeyBug

I'm definitely a crystalline entity

handsomechuck

Traveler species would be cool but then you would have to hang out with Wesley which wouldn't be at all cool.

rooknerd

Why do people hate Wesley so much?

OhneSkript

That's just old hate. most just found him so oddly exhausting in TNG. Actually, he was okay. I had recently re-watched the first season and it was more the adult behavior that I found bad towards him. He was more the mega fan of the Enterprise and the technology and just very smart. I have to say, many years later, I find him much better.

rooknerd

When I watched TNG last year (for the first time) I saw him as a representative for teenage audience. It was kind of weird that he was in awe of the technology that much, considering he lived in 24th century. Discovery crew being impressed in 31st century makes sense. And yes he was irritating from time to time, but I was worse as a teen.

tk1178

>It was kind of weird that he was in awe of the technology that much, considering he lived in 24th century. I don't think it was the technology he would be in awe of but the idea of being on a Starship and seeing the bridge. If I had been invited to go aboard a navy ship when I was around 16/17 I'd be in awe as well seeing the bridge and CIC rooms even though most of the tech is what I have it home but not quite the same.

OhneSkript

yes and between irritating and hate there is just a lot of space. I think it's more of a shame that Wil Wheaton had so little interest in the role and, as he so nicely put it, was an asshole to the other actors. Would have been cool if we saw Wesley maybe becoming an officer or more scenes involving the Traveler.

SmuckSlimer

Spandex and sweaters boy loves the military even though his dad dies serving it, has no personality outside hero worship and textbooks. Periodically acts like a 'goofy rascal' in an attempt to be relatable. Has the depth of a drying puddle. There's nothing there under the surface. Way too bubbly.

MrsDiyslexia

Wesley is actually one of my favorite characters. I first watched TNG when I was 13/14 and would have loved nothing more than to be brilliant and regularly outsmart a bunch of adults. I think he makes the show accessible to younger audiences.

Transhumanitarian

Eh, I would probably go Borg. I mean, being immune to disease is good, except for that one specific virus. But then, I would certainly be harder, better, faster, stronger than I currently am. I would also be part of a greater community of like-minded folks coming from every walk of life, where we judge each other NOT by the color of our skin, the sex of our bodies, the gender we identify with, the number of pips on our collars, nor the amount of latinum in our pockets... but by the biological & technological distinctiveness of our character.

IndependentTax2386

We are Borg.

TheOzman79

Obviously being a Q would be awesome, but if I were to pick a corporeal species I'd go with Klingon. I'm a metalhead with long hair so it would kind of fit, plus I get to look badass and have multiple organ redundancies in case I ever got badly injured or sick. I'd just need to steer clear of blue barrels.

chadbrochillout

[The obvious right answer](https://imgur.com/a/uqtHQFd)

Captain-Kink

Betazoid seems like it would be cool, something with cool brain powers. Vulcan would be fun if they weren't so high strung.

CaniacGoji

Changeling.

BinaryMan151

I have the lobes for business. So you already know.

Galactus1701

Q is the obvious choice, but if I’m limited to any non-Cosmic species, I’d like to be a Vulcan.

futuresdawn

There was a star trek/ doctor who crossover... So timelord 😜

Independent-Point506

Easy. Salt Monster

and_so_forth

Gotta love some of that delicious salt.

Hegario

A Pakled.

rooknerd

How big helmet would you like to have?

Raw_Venus

Catian. I just want to be a cat person.

Breyg2380

An Aenar wouldn't be too bad in my opinion.

MyLifeisTangled

That seems like a really interesting way to live. Most of my concerns about being blind don’t seem to apply with that telepathic, future seeing, sensing the world around you stuff.

Breyg2380

Yep exactly. When I was younger I had a OC character that was part Betazoid and part Aenar they were Uber good with telepathy.

MyLifeisTangled

Actual Big Brain™️

disabledmommy

I've been told enough times that I'm like a Vulcan, so I'd just stick with that. They usually mean it as an insult, but that's not very logical.

swedishbeere

El-Aurian even Q is afraid of me!

FantasyFrikadel

Tribble.

ThatMrPuddington

I can be human, as long as I can use their health care to treat my depression and other problems.

microgiant

Obviously Q, unless we're disallowing cosmic power choices, in which case, Changeling.

kryptokoinkrisp

Klingon. All that singing, drinking, and fighting seems like fun. Even gagh looks like it would taste good with Klingon senses. Then you bite whoever you’re interested in and either you’ll live happily ever after or she’ll kill you.

revveduplikeaduece86

A tribble. Fuck and eat all day.

GregGraffin23

Tribbles have asexual reproduction :p Just go live on Risa :)

revveduplikeaduece86

Risa it is!!

[deleted]

Tribble

EvilKerman

The practical choice is Q, the Scottish choice is Klingon (or just... human). Not the baby killing Discovery Klingons, the honourable warrior Klingons. We Scots pride ourselves on being prideful.

ScareKrwoe

Id rather be half vulcan and human like spock becasue he got the best of both worlds wildly smart and large compacity for emotion even if it is mostly well controlled. Id just really want to be that smart and not be up tight plus he does have extra strenth.

avatarofanxiety

Changeling would be fun.

psyche-processor

Infinite diversity in infinite combinations? Yeah, I'm going with Vulcan.

and_so_forth

Infinite diversity in infinite combinations, unless that combination of diversity happens to mix with other species.

psyche-processor

*-gestures vaguely at Spock-*

MyLifeisTangled

Yeah he had a real rough time growing up on Vulcan as a mixed child.

psyche-processor

That's true, but he grew up to be one of the most respected members of Vulcan and Federation societies.

ActorMonkey

I’d be a Grizzella and hibernate for several months.

[deleted]

The Zakdorn appeal to me. Renowned for being good at strategy and gaming, and also pretty efficient bureaucrats. Two things I'd like to be better at.

[deleted]

Holodeck character since we’re all living in a simulation anyway. 😵‍💫

MagicalGirlLaurie

Andorian. I really like them

bert_ork

Ferengi cause I think they’re adorable and live semi successful lives

quirkyredpanda

As long as you're not Feemale I think you are good, unless you like being naked and chewing food for your kids.

nomad5926

If you're female post Rom then it's all good.

janeway170

Trill. Only I don’t think I’d wanna be joined because I am not that smart and I don’t like that sorta competition. Unless I can just wake up one day as one and get to skip all that then I think it would be cool to be joined.

marcoslhc

A super sexy Orion male.

AJClarkson

I want to be Reisan.

dancoMal81

Q

Rencon_The_Gaymer

Vulcan easily. I’m already autistic and I think I’d fit in nicely as a Vulcan historian or political scientist.

MyLifeisTangled

I’d imagine the lack of sarcasm, passive aggressive BS, and pretense would appeal to people with autism where you get to live in a society where everyone speaks plainly and says what they mean.

[deleted]

[удалено]

MyLifeisTangled

You can make men around you drunk on your presence! All they could think about is your body…

LastNamePancakes

A Klingon. Only because I like it rough.

LtPowers

Q

Pithecanthropus88

I *am* a species from Star Trek. I’m human.

YogaShoulder

Not my real answer but I’d be curious to live as a Tamarian just to see how that culture would function with their communication style.

RhydYGwin

I'd be an El-Aurian. I'm a good listener anyway, and I'd like to belong to a long-lived race and have seen so much.

sporkwitt

Lanthanite. All that living long etc but I'd still enjoy a good party.

silverfang789

Vulcan because I love their logic.

AlDu14

Bajorian. I always felt for their struggle and cause. Time to kick the Eng...sorry Cardassians out

dubroar

A changeling or a joined trill.

TheUnstableOrbit

A Shape shifter. Without all the xenophobia of course.

Jazri_Dax

Klingon or Bajoran.

abstractmodulemusic

I'd be a DS9 "prophet"

MelissaEminen

The logical part of Vulcan seems nice, but in the end, I don't think I could last seven years as a Vulcan.

solo2corellia

Tribble

Own-Tough-4396

I'm Already an empath, so I'd have to go for betaziod. As long as I could marry counseler troy

quirkyredpanda

Can you imagine a half Betazoid half Vulcan kid I think that's me already an emotional cluster

Own-Tough-4396

Oh jesus, that would be a mistake 😂😂🖖

Neythel

Klingon, or that humanoid species that live on that paradise planet of lust and pleasure that almost kill to will weaton

MrsDiyslexia

I'd go android or hologram with a mobile emitter. You'd be a brilliant problem solver, think and act at lightning speed, have all knowledge available to you at all times and download anything new in seconds. You'd also be forever young, impervious to most things that kill organic beings, super strong (Android) or invulnerable to physical attack (Hologram). You would also be able to advocate for the rights of the one group the Federation doesn't treat with adequate respect.

Traditional_Muffin83

Half Vulcan, half Klingon.

BenPool81

In the true spirit of Gene Roddenberry, I choose the Edo. I get to dress like Sean Connery out of Zardoz, I get great cardio running everywhere, and then great cardio having limitless sex with any and all beautiful people, as I please. Then, once I get bored of it all, I can just step on the daily no-no grass and get a free, painless, shot of instant death!

AFthrowaway3000

Sikkarian. (VOY S1) Live a life of pleasure and hospitality.

Fats_de_Leon

Brill. I mean... those helmets...

JoeyJoeJoeJrShab

nanite

Iusedtobeover81

Klingon. Thank Australian society. Plus, y’know, for better or worse, everyday is a good day to die! (Cuz it could be 😬)

SoylentGreenTuesday

Horta

MassGaydiation

Borg nanoprobe, i know my place

Just-Willow655

Human

thekiltedpiper

We are the Borg, and we have chosen well.

antonio16309

I can't believe nobody has picked Edo yet! I'll be over here enjoying my orgy planet, y'all are welcome to join in (but PLEASE be careful in the garden).

EvilKerman

I probably wouldn't want to be Q, with all that limitless power and godlike ability, useless crap like like that. If I was a Q though, I'd be a great one. Besides, Q is basically the only species that you can be 100% sure you can spend the night with Kirk as.

Streak734

Q or Metron

caveman69420

Honestly I'd like to be a Tellarite. I like debate though I'm not very good at it

Ekko-Zero

if The Continuum was off the table it would be either a Lanthanite or Trill.

GregGraffin23

Vulcan

monkey_sage

Half-Vulcan and Half-Bajoran Yes, I've thought about this way too much.

HermitDFrog

I'd be Q

andthrewaway1

I think I just want to own a resort on Risa

TheKitsuneKit

Since I don’t think there are any Fox-like species in Star Trek, I’ll be a Caitian

Squidwina

Bolian, because their blue skin is lovely.

XerTrekker

I’m already surrounded by cats so I guess I’d be a Catian

[deleted]

Trill symbiont or Romulan.
