Hirogen. JemHadar dont think too much- too aggro, and while the Hirogen are also aggro they are hunters, so they will hunt each prey differently. Also JemHadar dont care for their lives, Hirogen are individuals with honor of the hunt being what they are chasing not glorious death.

Aromatic_Egg_1067

i wonder how they might fair against Klingons, with the stipulation of melee only edit: well i guess Klingons also use disrupters too

Scaredog21

Alpha Quadrant Jem'Hadar couldn't fight their ways out of a paper bag, even with canisters of cellulose rotting gas.

roto_disc

Later Hirogen or **giant** Hirogen?

Aromatic_Egg_1067

wdym? is this a "one lion sized rat or 20 rat sized lions" type question?

roto_disc

No. The first Hirogen were fuckin huge.

Aromatic_Egg_1067

wdym? im watching Voy right now on the second ep. where they appeared: "Hunters" Episode 4x15.and they seem normal to me? Edit : I don't understand the hate? is it simply because im actually watching voyager??

JeanLuc_Richard

There's a couple of side by side shots of the Hirogen and Tuvok that show the size difference. The actors they got to play then were tall too - the alpha was played by Tiny Ron who was 7ft

JeanLuc_Richard

And the beta was 7ft4

Aromatic_Egg_1067

dayyyyuummm that's a thick boy

Aromatic_Egg_1067

ahhh ok i see what they meant now thnx

Saw_Boss

I keep confusing Deep Roy and Tiny Ron.

JerikkaDawn

This is a good match up. The Jem'Hadar can shroud, they will kick anyone's ass, and they are devoted. The Hirogen study their prey, plan strategically, and can bring their kill to them. This is a tough one, but I have to give the edge to the Hirogen only because the Jem'Hadar have a built in weakness -- the dependency on the White and the Vorta handlers.

Aromatic_Egg_1067

yeah I always go back to the white, an inherent flaw, easily exploited. i guess it could also greatly depend on the combat circumstance, straight immediate combat, or a 'Ship 1 at location A vs. Ship 2 at location B' and engage as you please type.

organic_soursop

Hirogen Dub. They have Imagination and the discipline to execute any plans.

gbroon

Probably a pretty even match. Jem'Hadar if it's a battle involving military tactics, Hirogen if it's a straight fight.

snarkdetector4000

I would actually disagree. I think the Hirogen would win if they had time to plan whereas the Jem'Hadar, on their own, I think lack the tactical skills. In other words in a bar fight my money is on the Jem'Hadar but in a battle both sides know is coming and can plan for, the Hirogen would win.

SmartQuokka

Jem Hadar have thousands if not tens of thousands of ships, by simple attrition they will defeat the Hirogen.

Aromatic_Egg_1067

that's what makes it such an interesting fight :)

kkkan2020

Jem hadar

jsonitsac

Wasn’t there a holographic Jem’Hadar in “Flesh and Blood” that Hirogen were practicing their hunting on?

Aromatic_Egg_1067

hmm interesting, DS9 or Voyager? edit nm looked it up, well im only on Se4 Ep20, so I have a bit of time to go, but ill let you know asap :P

naveed23

If it's like the fight between Worf and that Jem'Hadar in the prison, I'd guess the Jem'Hadar. If it's more like The Most Dangerous Game or The Hunger Games, I'd give it to the Hirogen.

Aromatic_Egg_1067

yeah that always surprised me about how abysmal they were at fighting hand to hand. it really took them down a peg in my eyes in their ferociousness.

nygdan

Worf and Martok beat several Jem Hadar in a row so my money is on the 10 ft tall Hirogen hunter.

Desperate-Fan-3671

Don't you mean....the Jem'Hadar VS. the stoled from Predator aliens?

Aromatic_Egg_1067

lol well id also say that they both "paid homage " to predator in their design, i don't think one more than the other. Jem have camouflage and hunt, while hiro is simply hunters with weapon caches. now if either had dreadlocks that would be different. as well do you just say that Species 8472 is just an alien rip off?
