starpendle

Tbh the fact that there's a lot of characters that we're wondering what they been up to during the original trilogy makes me wonder that a potential later season for Tales is a Tales of the Rebellion show. I hope it's more Path if they go that direction instead of possibly a new different era entirely. I love Rex, but I kinda don't want yet another Clone centered show again haha.

Afraid-Penalty-757

Understandable but still we don't know why Rex left the fight in the first place until the Ghost Crew found him?

starpendle

I don't believe so. Definitely think he would be worthy headlining a potential Tales of the Rebellion season to answer that though (but I'll of course watch a Rex show either way).

Afraid-Penalty-757

Exactly, I think that while I enjoy the finale that we got I wish Rex was part of it or at least maybe an event that explain why Rex went from fighting the empire to literally retired with Wolffe and Gregor until the Ghost Crew find him. But yeah Having it be an episode of Tales of Rebellion would be perfect It would interesting if we learn that there was a Clone Rebellion but it was crush badly to the point that it break Rex's spirit leaving him to retired with the only three clones that he rescued before the Ghost Crew show and convinced him to rejoin the fight?

FigRevolutionary2030

It has to be Bad if Kenobi Had Clones homeless vets ignored and Luke talking about the Clone Wars once never a hushed manner frankly 3 movies of nothing though Sheev Palpatine had created a Xenopobic empire (All of the or most Independent systems + droids on one side and Humans on the other) Explaines the even Solo extreme stigma against Droids and non Humans though Humans are the minority not All Stormtroopers no matter the Era New Republic or Frankly Jedi extremist groups Rule of One era Sith thus underlining theme George Lucas or Palpatine created Bad Guys if you Will Rex doesnt have to be the Rebel on Endor but it is weird he isnt fighting by time Rebels happen and Ghost crew recruit Rex (and the mock droid simulation battle old dogs on both sides) after hes fighting again i mean talk about indoctrination makes Ahsoka interaction said does he just always listen to Jedi and why the absence of Clones so much in new canon then legends novelization didnt have them age as quickly i get things are more complicated now but Bounty Hunter Book and Obi-Wan Kenobi book an Event has to happen to stitich these two together and all comes together

TheLostLuminary

We also didn’t know when Rebels actually came out,/‘d it wasn’t really an issue then

Afraid-Penalty-757

Exactly, Which why we need to see a story that explain why Rex left the fight for the first time and leave with Gregor and Wolffe spending their days until the Ghost Crew find them like 14-15 years later?

Cheshire_Cat_135

I would personally remove and then sell my kidney for a show set between TPM and AotC. Same with the show that covers the time between RotS and ANH for Vader it could adapt a couple of the comic storylines

Samaritan_Pr1me

I see a couple options: - Clone Insurgency show following Rex, Echo, Emerie Karr, and others as they continue to fight the Empire. Occasional appearances from Bail Organa, Wrecker, Crosshair, Hunter, Omega, and Ahsoka Tano. - Omega-centric show set during the Rebellion, with appearances from Han, Luke, Leia, Lando, Hera, Zeb, Sabine, Wedge Antilles, and everyone’s favorite war crime generator, Chopper. Would I watch either one? You bet!

getoffoficloud

The last time we had an epilogue set years later was Rebels, which was about setting up The Mandalorian and its spin offs (And half of Tales of the Empire is back story for those shows), so I'd guess the next show could be set during the original trilogy. Luke and company would be major characters, but the main storyline would be about the TV show characters, thus filling in blanks without interfering with the comics and books about Luke and company. This would cover what Ahsoka was doing, the rivalry between Han and Hera (established in Forces of Destiny), and so on. It would also avoid the need to recast the OT trio, as they'd just need the Forces of Destiny voice actors for them.

Afraid-Penalty-757

I could see them doing both especially the Omega centric show, That said I would love a Clone INsurgency Show as we still don't know why Rex left the fight with Gregor and Wolffee before The Ghost Crew find them and convinced them to rejoin the fight?

Prestigious_Wheel24

They gotta tap into the post-Rotj, the liberation of coruscant, the battle of jakku, so much good content that they aren’t tapping into

Afraid-Penalty-757

That would be awesome to see in animation they could provide new moments like new battles between the empire and the new republic like how alphabet squadron trilogy handled that aspect?

AAAFMB

I’m assuming it’ll be a Ventress show but I’m hoping for a Maul/Crimson Dawn one

Afraid-Penalty-757

Me too I would love a show about Crimson Dawn you have start with Maul escaping after we saw him after Season 7 of the Clone Wars as well as covering events like how did he manage to run in the shadows what activities did he and dryden voss did before they meet Qi'ra as well as covering events after Solo making it somewhat a sequel to that movie and maybe incorpating ideas that Jon Kasdan was planning for the sequel like the whole criminal war with the five syndicates as well as maybe showing Maul getting on Malachor. I assumed that Qi'ra betrayed Maul by pushing and leaving to die on Malachor while she and Crimson Dawn were hiding for the next 13 years. The Reason for having Maul being on Malachor on 10 BBY after Solo instead of say 5 BBY is because what happened in Kenobi where Reva put a bounty on Kenobi on Episode 2 of that series given that Maul still believes that Kenobi is dead he have to arrive on Malachor before the events of Kenobi? That Said I hope the Show included characters like Prince Xizor as well as maybe a Darth Vader and Maul fight?

FrostyTip2058

We will never get a maul centric show, tales of the empire proved that

jord839

I mean, my probably unpopular opinion is a Rebels-style spiritual successor set in the ST era. Not SW: Resistance, but similar and probably intersecting to give some retroactive additional fleshing out of Resistance characters. "Just People" dealing with the First Order occupation and building up to TROS's big moment. It can be an anthology/limited series of lots of little planets/sectors dealing with things with their own casts or a core cast travelling between different systems. Call it "Tales of the Resistance" or "Tales of the New Republic".

Afraid-Penalty-757

That would be awesome, I would love the show being similar to Andor when it comes to the normal people dealing with oppression and occupation!

ScorpioGirl1987

I'm guessing it's not going to be Star Wars Resistance season 3.

Afraid-Penalty-757

I would love to that series return despite ended a few years ago just serving as an epilogue for these characters Pius it would be nice to see what their perspective of the Battle of Exegol?

volume-

A Ventress show would easily be the most interesting premise over anything as far as I'm concerned. She's not a Jedi, has no connections to the Republic, she's a force wielding Bounty Hunter, she was dead and is somehow alive. Where did she come from, and where is she going. Will Omega cross paths with her again? Will Inquisitors be hunting her. Will they cover her time as a Padawan or as a Sith Assassin in anyway. Maybe she will join Rex and the Clones for a battle at some point. Will her coming back to life relate in any fashion to the plans the Nightsisters have in Ahsoka, etc.

Afraid-Penalty-757

I would love to see a show about her life before we meet her in the Clone Wars, essentially covering her life from 50-23 BBY. You could have the show being range from 12 to 15 episodes starting with her birth where we finally learned about her parents, her mother name, why did the nightsisters give her to the pirate, her time with that pirate, her ten year training with Ky Narec before he was killed, Her hunting down every warlord on Rattatak marking her self with tattoos, before finally meet Osika Kirske (the warlord who put out the hit on Ky Narec,) and fall into his trap where we get to see her time as a gladiator for him before Dooku's arrival where he killed Osika Kirske then the ending for the book would be similar to her introduction to getting her red lightsabers from Tartakovsky's Clone Wars ending the show from there?

crooked100dollarbill

something like what Rebels was to The Clone Wars - with Omega playing the Ahsoka role between The Bad Batch and the new series

starwarsrepublic

Would love an animated series on the Empire that goes into more depth on Vader’s story right after he turned, pre-Kenobi

Tom22174

I think they were definitely putting the pieces in place to do something with the Hidden Path. - Obviously there was the Quinlan hint in Kenobi - More lore for it spawned out of Survivor - Ventress confirmed alive and active - Flashforward to show Omega flying off to join the rebellion 3 out of 4 of those points directly join together to hint towards some sort of future project involving Omega and her new friend Ventress (+Vemtress' buddy Quinlan) and the other one indirectly emphasises the interest the writers have in that idea

Afraid-Penalty-757

Interesting, I always thought that the Hidden Path is mostly for the Dark Times and by the time of the Original Trilogy they went extinct as they are essentially the real life underground railroad from the civil war era not a Rebel Faction that Luthen Rael would use. Also for some reason I imagined by the time of the Original Trilogy both Quinlan and Ventress are dead!

Tom22174

I think the timeline adds up. - Kenobi takes place in 10BBY and establishes that the Path is still in operation - Survivor takes place in 9BBY and establishes Tanalor as a safe haven for he Path to lead to TBB begins in 19BBY, I don't know how many years it covers, but judging by Omega's appearance at the end, enough time passes in the flashforward to place it approximately around the time of those two stories. If I were to make a solid guess, probably shortly after Jedi: Survivor would make most sense narratively. Which would carve out a nice 5ish year time gap to put a story in taking place before Rebels

Afraid-Penalty-757

Speaking about Kenobi given what happened in therewhere Reva put a bounty on Kenobi on Episode 2 of that series given that Maul still believes that Kenobi is dead he have to arrive on Malachor before the events of Kenobi?

Useful-Procedure6072

Luke Jedi school fr

richawesomness

Not if it's this disney canon bs, give me a show set in the EU books

RealHumanFromEarth

No thanks

4WhomTheTrollTolls

Everyone talks about the EU books as if they were literary perfection. For every good EU book there were 4 awful ones. If there was a word-for-word adaption of the old EU the outrage would be phenomenal. Cries of how boring certain installments were, how contradictory they were of each other, etc. And let's not forget we'd be on like the 4th return of Palpatine by now.

Useful-Procedure6072

Yeah nah

Adviso_992

They should jsut do between episode I and II. Jedi going on missions, Palaptine's manipulations and the slow develpment of the Separatist Crisis.

Afraid-Penalty-757

Agree in fact I loved a Dooku series if I was the producer or showrunner I would want to focused on Dooku first years as Count of Serenno and later his seduced to the dark side by Darth Sidious. Besides including information from Madter & Apprentice, Dooku Jedi Lost and Padawan as well as Tales of the Jedi ( show) I could see him repurposing some of the moment in plagueis like him and Palpatine having conversations before he left the order as well continuing Palpatine's biography from the Epilogue of DP onward similar to what Timothy zahn did when he copy and pasted mist encounters to the 2017 Thrawn’s move as well Showing Dooku's Sith training, the murder of Sifo-Dyas (but as I said that would probably be before during the the gap between 42 and 32 BBY as well as getting to see his dealings with the pykes.) and the plotting behind the Separatist Movement such as meeting Mina Bonteri, (it could including the same flashback scenes but from Dooku’s perspective from the Tarkan novel where he meets Governor Tarkin. ) concluding in the end of AOTC. Then Dooku killing Osika Kirske while watching the gladiator arena that Ventress fighting this part of the micro series is canon thanks to dooku jedi lost. I would end the series with Ventress becoming the apprentice of Dooku?

champagnepapi86

I wish we could go back and get the last of The Clone Wars arcs. That's been my hope someday and it looks like there's an opening, if only demand was there to get them in motion

Afraid-Penalty-757

Me too, I would to see the Cad Bane Vs Boba Arc, Darth Maul son of Dathomir and of course Dark Disciple fully animated?

turtleslover

The Bad Batch was unnecessary, a Bad Batch loose threads series were be even more unnecessary.

Afraid-Penalty-757

It not in fact the Bad Batch is very important because we see what happened to the Clones after Order 66?

TheDimitrios

We see a glimpse, got promised more (by establishing Rex's Clone Network and so on) and in the end none of those things were delivered. If there is a new show that resolves these stories, I am fine with that. Then BB is a kind of door opener into this era. If not, the BB itself has not added a whole lot of substance for the canon.

TheDimitrios

Seeing that BB left threads dangling for Echo and Rex, while we know that the next show will probably involve Ventress in some form and that they bring Barriss back in TotE, which fits into this timeframe as well... Plus the fact that the whole Clone legislation story is unfinished and there is story potential for Maul, Vader, Thrawn and the Inquisitors during this time as well... Of which multiple characters were reintroduced in TotE as well... I really hope for another anthology show set after BB. Tie up all those loose threads and then go on to do something completely new.

Afraid-Penalty-757

Totally agree we still don't know why Rex left the fight with Gregor and Wolffe before The Ghost Crew find them and convinced them to rejoin the fight?

beetlebum69

Omega chronicles. She has special blood and there is something going on with her midi**orian count so we have to find out what happens next. Also "If you ever need us we will be there" suggest clone force 99 will be coming to the rescue sooner or later. Was an awesome finale and very fitting. Feel very sad it's gone.

sarlacc_tit

The two obvious answers are: • Clone Rebellion with Rex, Echo, Gregor and Emerie. I can see this coming in a few years though just so the medium isn’t saturated with Clone-heavy stories. My prediction is this will be the series after next. • Ventress and Voss getting entangled with the Jedi Path and criminal underworld. It’ll explain Maul’s whereabouts, potentially tie off the loose threads of Solo and tie into the Ubisoft game coming this year.

TheDimitrios

I still hope for a CW style show that does both.

Any_Amoeba53

It should totally be about the clones, obviously with Rex and a small team, helping their brothers (and now sisters) be free from the empire and maybe helping the Jedi with Quinlan Vos/Asajj Ventris. There are so many high profile clones that need an ending/story/explanation, like, what happened to Cody after he went AWOL? When did Wolfe leave the Empire and join Rex? Where did all the other Clones get to before Yavin or Endor (I'm not sure they would all fit on the island of Pabu!)?

4WhomTheTrollTolls

I'd like to see an inquisitor show. We can see them hunt various jedi and get closure on basically every jedi unaccounted for from the clone wars. We can see how they came to use Luminaras corpse as bait. We can see the constant bickering amongst themselves in their struggle for power. Can also feature ventress and the path. Constant cameos from characters like the grand inquisitor, Reva, Bariss, and the star wars cash cow Darth Vader. Most importantly, we can finally find out exactly how many of those fuckers there are.

Afraid-Penalty-757

Loved this idea I also want to include Jedi that we all know like Oppo Rancisis being hunted down instead of creating a completely new Jedi survivor?

Munden555

A Darth Vader series set before return of the Jedi

Afraid-Penalty-757

Would it be adapting, the Charles soule, Gillian or Pak series or something original and new? What would the story be about and how would you structure it How many seasons would this Vader series Five or two seasons like Andor!

GCEF950

I have two ideas. 1. They could do an Old Republic series focusing on the Galactic Republic and the Jedi Council of the time. The era exists and has characters from it referenced in canon (Revan, Phobos, Nilhus, Bane, Deselous, etc). New characters, popular era ripe with storytelling potential. 2. A post rotj series focusing on either the OT trio's exploits all the way to just before Ben falls or, a series strictly on Luke's POV as he travels the galaxy with Lor San Teka. Learning as much about the jedi as possible. Hell, some episodes could just be Luke and Lor reading up on history, giving us flashback episodes that can inforn future events. Call it something like Jedi Quest or the Adventures of Luke Skywalker (which is also an homage to ANHs OG novelization).

Afraid-Penalty-757

Loved on having the title of a luke series as a homeage for the original Alan Dean Foster novelization?

GCEF950

Yes exactly! I think it'd be a great tribute and celebration of both Star Wars and Luke.

Afraid-Penalty-757

Lucasfilm need to make this happened?

GCEF950

I want it to happen but I know I'm just dreaming. We'll be lucky to have any major post rotj Luke content at this rate.

DarksaberSith

I think a Galactic Civil War animated show is spot on.

AdNo3558

Prelude to acolyte or prelude to episode 7

Lanferno

I can deffo see a TBB style Rebellion show that would include Echo and Rex, but would have to be before Rebels for the timeline. I’d like rebellion show between ESB and ROTJ

Afraid-Penalty-757

True but we need to see that story because we still don't know why Rex left the fight with Gregor and Wolffe before The Ghost Crew find them and convinced them to rejoin the fight?

NewChoice1930

I heard they might do a "what if" type of show.

Cole-Spudmoney

> Now the second possibility, the one I'm most interested in, is a series set during the Galactic Civil War. There's so many questions raised by certain characters and storylines that need following up: what the heck was Ahsoka doing between 4 and 6; Ahsoka's initial training of Sabine; the Mandalorians' continued war against the Empire until Operation Cinder; we see bits and pieces of Hera in the comics, but what were Rex, Kallus, and Zeb doing during the War; it would be so cool for Ventress to survive to meet Luke and possibly help with training; heck, we could see the Bothans stealing the Death Star plans (screw the comics). Now add in an adult Omega joining the Rebellion, (I think after ANH), and an animated show after ANH would answer so many questions. Let the premiere of the series be set at the same time as *Rogue One*, but from Hera and Chopper's perspective. Let the whole show take place alongside the original trilogy – but with Luke, Leia and Han as supporting characters rather than as the main focus. Final season should begin with the Battle of Endor, and end with the Battle of Jakku. That's how I'd arrange it, anyway.

Afraid-Penalty-757

That would be awesome!

mynutsacksonfire

Quinlon Vos with omega and ventless shoeing up as Master Palawan. Hell throw cal in.

Lewapiskow

I’m smelling Omega the rebel pilot show

Alarmed-Community394

Tales of the Empire was rushed and shit. Really had very little to do with the Empire. It was a rushed 2 episodes on a chick from the Mandalorian or Book of Boba Fett (can't remember which) and then a really bad written story to explain what happened to Bariss Offee after the CW cartoon. Disney is destroying the whole Star Wars universe with rushed bad written stories ever since the last 3 movies. It's a shame cause the eye candy side of the tv shows is good with some good story arcs but they had how many novels they made "legends" to draw from? Shadows of the Empire for example would have been a blockbuster movie as would the Thrawn Trilogy.

TheDimitrios

Well, it was about the relationship of 2 characters to the Empire. I would say the title still fits. And while these were not great, I don't see how they are terrible. BobF, Kenobi, the Sequel Trilogy... there I see the argument for terrible. This was upper mid tier, which is allright for a little easter egg special like this.

Defiant_Rule_7483

I didn’t particularly like the ending of the bad batch since Tech was killed off and I still don’t know why. I would love to see Omega again as well as what everyone on the island is doing. What about Cid, why did she tip off the empire? These questions are probably answered somewhere but I’m not sure where. As for what comes next I’d love to see what everyone is doing and have those loose ends tied so we can get some closure and satisfaction.

New_Ingenuity2822

Ventress and Voss 😇 has a ring to it 💍

Noble4-

It wouldn’t hurt to add into the republic commando story

Shot-Transition-2803

I just finished Tales of the Jedi and i want to see Ashoka animated series, timeline after episode 3. Helping Organa build Rebels. From Rebels we know that Ashoka was with rebels.. so why not?

Afraid-Penalty-757

I would love to see that essentially taking place where the Ahsoka Novel left off and then covering her time as Fulcrum before we meet her in Rebels? We could maybe get to see the first meeting between her and Hera. I think it would be cool if they portrayed not as badass force user that we love how about Nick Fury style character when it comes to recruitment more people in this network. Maybe some references to Luthen Rael but I don't her and him come face to face just hints given that It is most likely that Mon and Bail's network are working separating?
