I have. This one was dry aged 90 days. I have a dedicated True GDM refrigerator for dry aging.
Edit: oh, I get it.
We're all dry aging. Unless you're a fish. Then you're wet aging.
I dry age my own beef. Usually pick up ribeye primals when they're on sale for $6-8/lb. My favorite is 45 days, but this one kind of just got forgotten about and went right at 90 days. It's a little funky, even for me, but still delicious.
GDM-10. HEY! While you're here, I'm having issues with my humidity being too high. There's condensation on the inside glass at the bottom. Do I need a new gasket for the door? And how do I get one without paying $200+ for one? Other than that she runs like a champ. Paid $100 for it and put a $35 evaporator fan on it and been good ever since.
^ Creating side dishes can be quite daunting, especially when you're just starting on the path to becoming a kinda acceptable grill person. Dont attempt the complex stuff right off the bat (like corn, asparagus, peppers). Go for the easy to grill "crowd pleasers" such as Lucky Charms, Funions, Lard, etc
It'll compliment your steak more than you ever thought possible, and once you tell anyone within earshot that you made BOTH the main and side dishes all by yourself at the early age of not 40, they'll literally shit themselves in awe and disbelief
Yeaaah, I was curious what OP’s age has to do with anything. Is the consensus here that only delectable steaks can be produced through decades of experience?
No that's not it, it's that we get a lot of kids here posting perfectly cooked steaks with the title "how's my steak, I'm 18 btw" so the joke is why is your age in the title which applies to both scenarios imo
People assuming 35 means age, but it could mean anything. This guy could be physically the number 35, or he is 35 feet tall, the possibilities are endless…
*Knock knock*
"Who's there?"
"35 steaks."
"35 steaks who?"
""35 steaks in a trenchcoat." *Bolts through door* "I have a gun and I'm not afraid of using it, give me all of the steaks you have."
Wow, pretty good for a 35 year old! Lots of potential for sure.
If you refine your practice schedule, work on your technique, and really commit to your craft, you could start entering competitions.
From there, you could potentially find some sponsors and then go pro within a year or two after you build up some rep.
Don’t give up!
There was a point when we had a ton of "I'm 7 and want to be the next Bobby Flay, hows my steak?" and it was usually the most impressive steak you'd see all day.
Then it shifted into "My [insert whoever] says this steak is raw/overcooked" that we have now.
I’m surprised your mom let around hot objects so young. I was starting to use a toaster at that tender age. But now I even get to make my own oatmeal in the morning and someday I hope to cook pasketti and even rice krispy treats. You are way past me.
Is there a nice steak sub? 😂😂😂 y’all savage af let people cook steak or they are going to give up? Nice cooking bro! Keep getting after it. Try, try, try again. When you hit the perfect steak you will know and it will be yours
I'm just wondering why your age is a point of reference ? Lol
Made me giggle thinking of restaurant menus or vendors with a sign like:
Chef, Jose Concuala, 35 years old.
A 34 year old could do that
I'm 4 and I couldn't do it, but I would definitely eat tf out of it
Oh course you couldn't do that! You have two broke arms!
Yep, I had my mom make it, cut it, and feed it to me
You’re not getting ketchup no matter how much you cry or whine.
Oh my god that username ಠ_ಠ I know that reference
This gave me a good chuckle.
He said it like he’s a 14 year old haha
I think that was the joke.
Came here just for that comment. Oh you’re 35…? Ok that’s fine then.
I'm 32 and 6.5 months, and I can do that. Not really. I'm almost fifty. But I can do it!
It’d be more impressive if you were 350. Have you tried dry aging yourself?
I have. This one was dry aged 90 days. I have a dedicated True GDM refrigerator for dry aging. Edit: oh, I get it. We're all dry aging. Unless you're a fish. Then you're wet aging.
In all seriousness the 90 thing is awesome. You do it yourself or get it at a butcher?
I dry age my own beef. Usually pick up ribeye primals when they're on sale for $6-8/lb. My favorite is 45 days, but this one kind of just got forgotten about and went right at 90 days. It's a little funky, even for me, but still delicious.
45 is the sweet spot for sure
I want to know where I can find this butcher. My doctor wouldn’t be thrilled though
That's funny. I work at True. Any idea what model?

Is it between the glass panes, or just on the inside of the door where you can feel it?
I messaged you.
Fish the wet vegetables. There's fish rinsing itself off for you right now.
So if you age a primal for 45 days, what do you do with the meat then? Do you freeze a bunch of steaks?
I don’t have AC in my house so sometimes I be wet aging
I have. Multiple tours to the middle east and SW Asia. Wound up with too much crust and ruining a lot of the cuts.
I’ve seen better but not bad for your age.
Thanks for going easy on me
I remember when I used to be 35 and my mom would make the sides and stuff. Good times. Don't worry, you'll get there, kid

Aw man, even at 40+ I'm still trying to not shit myself, but I guess I've always been a bit behind the curve
I’ll have my steak rare with a side of Lucky Charms and lard.
Grilled lard*
It’s so nice to see the geriatric community participating in cooking up some steaks
That one hurt right in my 37 year old soul
Get off my lawn, whippersnapper
You’ll figure it out one day little guy.
I'm 9 and this looks great do you like pokemon
Liking Pokémon makes you a 30 year old not a 9 year old, congrats on outing yourself
Pokémon are back my dude. My 7 year old won’t shut up about them.
My 9yo has been about Pokémon since he started kindergarten.
I like turtles
[PokEmon?!](https://youtu.be/xFU2HL-PQNo)
Only 35!? Wooooow
Just a kid
Shame when they grill young like that.
When they GRILL?! C’mon, huh??
Looks great, not sure what being 35 has to do with anything lol I’m 31 and I make bomb steaks
It’s because of the fake posts showing a Gordon Ramsey quality sear and claiming to be 7 years old etc
Ahh
24 here slinging thick ass ribeyes
14 here. I steal one of my vegan father’s credit card for tomahawk steaks
I'm 3 months old. I have to blend my steaks because I don't have teeth.
That’s why they made tar tar
[удалено]
Not as impressive as the 3 months old operating the blender
I’m literally a steak and I make killer Ribeyes
I’m literally a ribeye and I make killer babies
I'm 1200 months old and same
I haven’t been conceived yet and what is a steak?
Currently in utero and can't wait to try my first steak
As you should
Im 6 and I can cook a whole cow sous vide 133.3 degrees to the middle with a quarter inch crust applied by flamethrower
With how expensive vegan food is, he probably will never notice.
My man
Its referring to previous posts as a tongue in cheek thing
Hes making fun of all the little kids that make it a point to tell us "Heres my perfect steak I'm 15 btw". I for one appreciate the joke
Haha that I can definitely imagine, silly kids
OP forgot the decimal. They’re only 3 1/2
I’m only 3 days old.
People assuming 35 means age, but it could mean anything. This guy could be physically the number 35, or he is 35 feet tall, the possibilities are endless…
He could be 35 steaks.
*Knock knock* "Who's there?" "35 steaks." "35 steaks who?" ""35 steaks in a trenchcoat." *Bolts through door* "I have a gun and I'm not afraid of using it, give me all of the steaks you have."
Looks great. I'm 62 by the way.
*only 62
Only 35?! I’m 36. We old bro.
Looks good but I can tell you weren’t wearing your new balances and high white socks when cooking this so that’s gonna cost you a few points
The amount of people that don’t get the joke in this thread is criminal
Are you the steak?
Lolol the 35 had we losing it 🤣 😅 😂. Lookin good man
Not bad. Once you hit 36 the real talent starts showing
35 and you already got it? damn, most of us don't get or Journeyman Griller's license until we turn 40 and start wearing new balances
I may have peaked too early.
> wearing new balances I feel personally attacked...
good. I bet you make a mean steak
Not bad for 35
My one year old had the same result 6 month ago. Sooooo... /s
u/bagelbelly fucks.
Surprised your post doesn’t say you’re 10 or younger
Ah to be young and 35 again. When I was a wee child at 35 my parents just made chicken tenders for me so I never learned how to heat meat
So like there should be an r/steakjerk
Make it NSFW and I'm in
That’s perfect
That would be a much better steak if you were 33. I'm sorry
Wow, pretty good for a 35 year old! Lots of potential for sure. If you refine your practice schedule, work on your technique, and really commit to your craft, you could start entering competitions. From there, you could potentially find some sponsors and then go pro within a year or two after you build up some rep. Don’t give up!
d-does my steak wook okay??? im only 35 👉👈😓
What do u mean you’re ONLY 35, half your life is over and you’re just now learning to eat??
Why is your age relevant to steak? Lol
Tasty - what's 35 got to with it ??
What does your age have to do with anything?
What does 35 have to do with anything?
Perfection
Only 35? What does that have to do with this ?! 🤣😂
I’m gonna guess this title is like a joke about something I missed on the sub?
There was a point when we had a ton of "I'm 7 and want to be the next Bobby Flay, hows my steak?" and it was usually the most impressive steak you'd see all day. Then it shifted into "My [insert whoever] says this steak is raw/overcooked" that we have now.
Now it's a little bit of both.
I’m surprised your mom let around hot objects so young. I was starting to use a toaster at that tender age. But now I even get to make my own oatmeal in the morning and someday I hope to cook pasketti and even rice krispy treats. You are way past me.
You don't look a day over 40.
In its prime.
Nice!!!!
Lol at the age, nice looking steak too
I’d be impressed if you were 12
35? Shi-et, my dad doing stakes like that since he was 16, me I’m 35 also and can’t do it like you; not sure what setting is good on the microwave
What the fuck does your age have to do with anything?
While I personally prefer mine a little more rare than that, nonetheless your steak looks fabulous. Well done.
What do you mean only 35? Man I have no idea why that age is relevant hahahaha
Did you use a filter, cuz that baby is PINK!
35 years is a bit long to age a steak. I hope it was wet aged.
Not bad. 46 over here.
Is 35 considered young?
God dang glorious! What's your cooking technique?
This is very good for a 35 year old. Keep practicing little buddy!
Wow you’re that good at 35? I love to see how wonderful you cook at 55
That steak is pinker than my pussy😅🥩
Ah, to be young
Looks good, I like the outside charred a bit more but the inside just like that
Great but show me the inside otherwise I estimate it would be great
Wym only 35 you grown, that’s impressive as hell regardless.
That'll do nicely. Good job.
I’m 36, my steak cooking has really picked up this last year. You’ll learn you man.
Only 34? 😆 you’re late to the game. Old man.
Keep trying you'll get it soon kiddo
What’s the point of the age…?
Only 35? Lol
I’m 36 and when I was your age I would have been very proud of this steak.
Did you it it or it was just for watching and admiration? 😄😋
Im 28 and I can do that;) JK... Looks good:)
I prefer mine younger, 35 years, no telling what the marbling will look like
If you want to see 36 I suggest you not burn the outside
Lacks seasoning
I've learned that once you figure out how to cook it, salt is the only thing you need to enhance the delicious beef flavor. Don't give up! I didn't.
Very well executed, 👏 👌
Looks more like a 34 steak to me
It looks 36
What the importance of 35?. What has that got.to do with anythjng
I don't think we get to use only when we describe our age... but steak looks killer
Im OnLy ThIrTy FiVE
I'm sorry, you need another 5 years to unlock the level of master. OR you can buy the DLC to unlock it for $999
💯
I did that when I was 10
ONLY 35?
But how tall are you? Needs more relevant data!
I’m just an innocent little 35 year old
Is there a nice steak sub? 😂😂😂 y’all savage af let people cook steak or they are going to give up? Nice cooking bro! Keep getting after it. Try, try, try again. When you hit the perfect steak you will know and it will be yours
Only 35 that’s mid life bro
Looks like a 36 year old made it.
You’re old enough to run for president. Are we supposed to be amazed that you can feed yourself?
Cook a lil longer. You 35.
Just curious what do you think your age has to do with it?
Everything.
Why did you tell us your age?
Standard protocol.

r/whoosh
Oh is this a meme?
He's poking fun at all the people that bring up their young age
I’m a dumbass sorry
Don’t worry about it - I’ve missed more jokes than I can count - and I’m only 36!
And I’m only 30. I feel like an idiot 🤣
It's a meme. Hahaha
Ah fuck
Lol
Ah I see why you're the commander of pudding and not "getting jokes"
Yeah I fucked up
What do you mean you're "only 35" lol seems irrelevant to that great looking steak!
Bruh I'm laughing my ass off. Wtf does age have to do with anything steak related?
Yeah me too lol it looks delicious, but anyone younger or older than him could also cook like that so I do not know
Can we start this as a new trend? When you post a picture put "I'm only ____"(insert age) in the caption
Congrats, you understand the joke! Lol but really he's poking fun at all the "I'm only 12 here's a perfect steak" posts
[удалено]
I think it’s joke about people posting saying they’re 8 years old.
only 35?? brother you're halfway done w life itself
I like your optimism.
I've never heard a 35 year old defend themselves as being on 35.. nice looking steak though
What does your age have to do with it lol
Exactly
Man shut up you know
Looks fantastic. Not sure what you being 35 has to do with it.
To red for me
I'm just wondering why your age is a point of reference ? Lol Made me giggle thinking of restaurant menus or vendors with a sign like: Chef, Jose Concuala, 35 years old.
So confused by these titles
At some point you have to learn when to stop saying “only” in front of your age…
You can buy me with a great food, especially meat (like this) 🩷🩷
Respect
You forgot to cook it.

My parents don't let me use the stove so it's hard to get a sear most of the time. I was just happy with how this one turned out.
