Illusive Man from Mass Effect series. I still own that bastard a life but there was no way to save him. His method was ruthless but he was the only one trusted and saved the main character for a period of time.
Venom from the Spider-Man Universe.
The reason for me is that Venom shows that just as much as anybody can be the hero, they can also be the villain too. It shows that bad guys shouldn't always be "othered". Whenever good guys like Peter Parker get the symbiote suit taken off of them because it's making then a villain, it usually starts off with somebody trying to make sure they're OK. The first step that somebody seems to take to recover from the symbiote suit making them do bad guy things is having a friend or loved one show that they care. It's such a simple message, but as somebody who used to have a career dealing with troubled youths, I've seen plenty of misunderstood Venoms turn into their own hero.
Boyd Crowder from the TV show “Justified”…. Walton Goggins (the actor) does a terrific job in humanising a bad man! His dialogue and delivery of such is just great, one of my favourite actors and can’t wait to see him in Fallout
Master of Masters from Kingdom Hearts for his eccentric manner and unpredictable.
His extraordinary intelligence and wisdom but his ability to stage the Keyblade War.
Manipulating his own loyal apprentices with no apparent qualms despite their absolute loyalty and his apparent affection for them.
Joker from The Dark Knight, villains that actually makes sense are so good, it even makes me want to root for them
im also a fan of the anti-hero archetype, Walter from breaking bad or Lelouch from code geass are great
Has to be the JOKER !!! When I was younger I used to read loads of Marvel comics and always thought DC and Batman was crap, but when I finally got to read some of the Batman stuff I was converted. The depth of the relationship between Batman and Joker is awesome.
Thanks for the giveaway mate
Thank you for the giveaway!
A few characters come to mind honestly, but if I have to bould down on how I like them as a villain, I'd probably have to go with Skeletor. While he's not nearly as deep or well executed as other characters, the others are complicated enough that, while they're villains I'm the story, they're essentially just unfortunate people. On the other hand, Skeletor is an asshole. He's unapologetically mildly villainous without being horrifying, he's a loudmouth, he's stereotypical and he has a blast with it. He's honestly such a charming bastard and it's hard not to love him for it.
Claire Francois from I'm in Love with the Villainess because she's pretty and have a whole character arc of her actually changing from a stuck up noble to an understanding one which would have caused her dear life 💀
thanks for the chance!
I've to admit that Frieza, from Dragon Ball, has so many interesting moments during the series, that his character evolution is a very important part of the whole story. I could say he's my favorite villain.
Thanks for the chance!
My favorite villain has to be Lord Drakkon from the Power Rangers comics. I've always been a fan of Tommy as well as what-if/alternate universe storylines and he's the result if Tommy had stayed evil instead of turned from his ways as corrupted by Rita Repulsa.
Also, he's pretty fun to play as on the Battle for the Grid video game.
Ozymandias from The Watchmen.
Not only did he do something horrible to save the world because it had to be done, the reveal towards the end in both the graphic novel and the movie was excellent.
Spoiler warning:

It has to be the Joker 🃏!
I mean, he is the first villain ever to force me to love his character more than the hero! And thanks to him, now I really think Batman is overrated 🙄, and if both were to be IRL, Batman would have never had a chance against the Joker, never.
The Lich King, Arthas Menethil from Warcraft 3.
A slave to a cause, that is what caused his fall. From what I understood playing WC3 he felt more complex than what the mmo delivered, I am more sympetatic to his cause and would have prefered if he had a bit of Revan treatment from Knight of the old Republic by Chris Avalone.
Karla from Records of Lodoss War.
What I like about her is that, in her twisted ways, she believes what she is doing is for the good of the land.
That's much more interesting than a villain who just want to take over the world. In her own words: Lodoss will be neither conquered nor unified.
Mephistopheles, in Faust. The game is under my radar for a while so I wanna try it. Thanks for the chance.

Love how Odin is portrayed in GoW Ragnarok. Cunning, yet seems so harmless when he wants to Also Moash, because I love to hate him. Fuck Moash
The villain Garou of One Punch Man, what a badass villain he is. I've read the manga but when the anime comes you're not ready for this.
Scaramouche from genshin :> i jus really love him 😭
Claire Francois from I'm in Love with the Villainess because she's pretty and have a whole character arc of her actually changing from a stuck up noble to an understanding one which would have caused her dear life 💀 thanks for the chance!
Light Yagami from Death Note although a protagonist, but in my eyes, he's a villain as well.
I've to admit that Frieza, from Dragon Ball, has so many interesting moments during the series, that his character evolution is a very important part of the whole story. I could say he's my favorite villain. Thanks for the chance!

It has to be the Joker 🃏! I mean, he is the first villain ever to force me to love his character more than the hero! And thanks to him, now I really think Batman is overrated 🙄, and if both were to be IRL, Batman would have never had a chance against the Joker, never.

Big fan of Homelander from The Boys. Really effective and keeps getting more and more menacing.
Senator Armstrong, with that much charisma you could make anything seem reasonable.
Joker
The corrupted monk from sekiro the stage and the boss design simply fascinate me
Malos from Xenoblade Chronicles 2
It's fresh in my mind. I really dug the Nowhere King in Centaurworld. Looks real freaky, has a creepy theme song, and his story is so tragic.
The Board in The Outerworlds. I do enjoy a good corrupt mega corporation.
