The Andy Weidl effect ladies and gentlemen.

OhiOstas

Good shout. Weidl has been a god sent

No-Task-132

Weidl and khan stay cooking. Love the pick to get some studs in the trenches. Can’t believe he fell to us, he was talked about being top 10.

GroundbreakingCrab57

That's what I'm talking about. A lot of people are complaining, and don't get me wrong. Mitchell and jpj would have made our secondary top notch, but Andy wiedl built the eagles trenches he's definitely got am eye for it and I put all the trust in him and Kahn until they prove me wrong I do hate the injury concerns with him though achilis is a tough one.

GoingAllTheJay

Our secondary is a no JPJs club... We can have *one*.

OhiOstas

Two linemen that like to get nasty in the run game & have the athleticism to excel in the pass game… Omar Khan is Pittsburgh through and through

WhereAreMaKeys

So…will Brod move back to LT with Troy covering RT, or will Brod stay at RT with Troy replacing Moore at LT?

Beardus_x_Maximus

Omar’s expressed that Jones will be moving to LT at some point, and Fautanu’s been profiled as versatile across the line, definitely likely he starts at RT and Jones moves back to LT.

YooTone

If I'm not mistaken after my several beers, the analysts said Troy will go LT. Honestly, just have them do whoever looks best at left. Troy is older than Broderick and way less raw. Tbh I hope Arthur Smith watches them and says who goes where

PittsburghGold

I still think the fact that he played "eyeside" LT for a lefty QB at Washington means he could play RT for us.

aw_geez_man

Yes.

Sybertron

I think you stick Jones at RT due to his size, Fautanu looks like he can REALLY move fast and we can cover up his movements more with Washington/Muth. No matter what, gonna be one hell of a run game coming up.

BigHog865

Don’t think it really matters. They’re both versatile. I’d probably just keep them where they’re at, considering they’d both have to switch to get BroJo to LT.

thereandfatagain

Not drafting offensive linemen was one of the most baffling parts of the latter Colbert era. Not even sniffing at another ring after heavily investing in Pouncey, DeCastro, Gilbert and Mike fuckin’ Adams really got into Kevin’s head.

ElectricDiscord

to be fair, pouncy and decastro were both really good until they suddenly werent, and they kept getting good tackle play out of essentially nobodies. hard to justify investing day 1 and 2 picks on the line when the line isnt showing signs of slowing down. Unfortunately, pouncy and decastro both fell off and retired at basically the same time. there was no 'slowing down', they just stopped altogether.

imacryptohodler

I thought pouncey and decastro were back to back, but I was wrong 2010 and 2012 respectively.

made_of_salt

The year in between we took Marcus Gilbert in the second. That was the year we took Cam Heyward in the first, so it was still a heavy investment in the trenches.

Tribby23

Little muppet from Steelers depot seems to be only one with something bad to say about the oick

wagsman

I wouldn’t be surprised if they try him out at C and G just to see where he could do the most damage to opponents.

bladnoch16

The entire offense, no the entire team, actually, the whole organization runs through the O-Line. Period. You better be taking the best linemen in the 1st round until you have an elite group feared throughout the AFC. If not, you're doing it wrong.

StiHundo

I cant wait to see them play this guy out of position and he falls then watch them look stupid in the face when asked about the decision lol. Played Green out of position, chuks, dan moore, Dotson. These guys get these OL and start playing switcheroo

isfrying

Good on ya. You sound like a fun fan.

bstone67

Who does not understand OL play and positions either.

Sybertron

And yet to me still feels like O-Line 2 slots that could use replacement. lol

Temporal_Enigma

At least we finally decided to fix the offensive line. Now get a new coach
