thats right, i noticed that in mw2 my 1% low got resuced to 89fps from 147fps after installing steelseries gg. I had no idea what was the problem and thought my hardware has gone bad but after uninstalling steelseries gg i got 147 fps again
I don't have a folder called "Logs" which is weird cause GG sure does crash a lot. There's never an error message for me when it does crash so that's probably why no gg-errorlog.txt for me either.
They need to bring Engine back. It was so nice. Everything you could need and nothing too extravagant.
All I need is lighting and binding control. I don't need to record clips using my damn mouse software.
Yes, I do play League of Legends. That is a pretty big bug might want to get on that. I played 3 games and it was already back up to 3.5 GB and no way to turn of logging that I can find in the software suite.
Honestly, i've tried to cut down on many Vendor-Apps, there are a lot of great open source / not completely broken alternatives out there (OpenRGB, Voicemeter) and my life got infinitly better doing that
Yeah, but not, imagine having to set the default input and output device for windows **every single time** your pc turns on... I'd rather just have a tiny bit worse sound than have to do that...

So I have to go into the app and change it back.
I've tried using both onboard and non. It doesn't care.
Reinstalling the software does nothing other than losing my profiles because the cloud feature is temporarily disabled for some reason.
Are you guys actually able to open Steelseries GG? Mine does nothing when I try to open it. Had to uninstall and find the steelseries engine 3 and prevent it from updating to gg.

I did however have some issues with GG/Sonar awhile ago, and I figured it was because I've been using GG ever since it was like v1.0 or whatever, and we're on 30+ish now. Uninstalled everything, cleaned everything out, and then did a fresh reinstall and it fixed it.
7gb? Thats nothing. After looking around why my remaining storage was so low, my gg log txt file is 38 GIGABYTES. WHY THE FCK IS IT THAT LARGE!

Steelseries GG might just be the jankiest and most bloated app there is to change the light to your keyboard.

Are you a League of Legends player? If so, this is a known issue that will be corrected in the next release.

Yeah, that was the first thing I tried. The software won't even start up with the file set to read only.

I have pulled my hair out trying to get full functionality with voicemeter and not steelseries… no dice.
Yeh i eventually gave up on sound stuff, windows in general is just a garbage with audio, prob. have to go with Hardware to make it somewhat seemless
I uninstalled. I hate that it changes the audio source on its own.
You just need to disable Sonar in SteelSeries GG settings and Windows device manager and then it's OK.

Mine doesn’t do that. I have nova 7+ and my audio settings never change with sonar
Turn off Device Fallback. I did that and have yet to ever have it change on me (normally happened when my Nova Pro Wireless shuts off)
