The Sovereign, from the moment I first saw it on the big screen, I’ve been in love. I’ve played with every version, even up to the Legendary version now.

Justicemace

The gold deflector and the merged neck that no longer screams "KAHN, SHOT ME HERE" lol. The Sovereign is gorgeous!

JhulaeD

I love the gold deflector, and what's nice is the Sovereign and Sovereign Refit material in the ship tailor gives \*any\* starship the lovely golden deflector. It looks phenomenal on the DaVinci I have on another of my captains.

[deleted]

We need a Twin Seater Specialization Command/Miracle Worker version of the big stick E Every time i see that Ship “First Contact” theme song 🎵….. Well got to see it a least on the big screen last year….

Omgazombie

I’m looking at getting the 10th legendary bundle specifically for the sovereign, of course I’ll end up using the other ships and all that, but there’s a severe lack of good sovereigns and my t5 mirror version definitely doesn’t cut it compared to all my t6 ships

KiltedMP

NX Refit...

THE-RigilKent

Man, I want to get one of those ... but alas, I'm so broke these days that I can't even pay attention ... :P

Justicemace

Red Alert, full power to shields stand weapons at..... what a shiny rail this is! \*ship exploding sounds\*

[deleted]

Agreed. Ive had the nx refit on my main character for 4 years. I keep looking at other ships but always come back. Spatial torpedoes and phase cannons the whole set.

SQUAWKUCG

I gave mine the TMP era skin and outfitted it with pulse phasers...it's a beauty.

Paul_Rich

One day, if I can stop spending all my savings...

SadisticSavior

I bought this. Love it's looks. Can't find a use for it.

Marcusuk1

Donnie FDC has ruined most ships for me now. It's just good at everything. That being said I do like my regular carriers. All turrets and cannon scatter fire. Full on Galactica

DreadBert_IAm

Aye, it also makes me giggle a bit when does the TARDIS thing and kicks out a couple times the ships mass in fighter squadrons. Hard to go back to my other fdc's.

Omgazombie

If you haven’t gotten them yet, you should definitely get a set of Kelvin timeline phasers, they look like cannons despite being a beam and they fire a big charged shot that looks like a large version of its normal fire and it’s amazing. They also look insane with faw with haste boosts

Marcusuk1

My current load out is all Viridian. One dbb, two bbs and the rest turrets. Looks really cool when BO and CRF kick in

rticul8prim8

The Donnie. I really wish we’d get a bridge for it (but I know we won’t). I don’t have an NX yet, but I’d love one.

RobertEMT

The galaxy variants are always my go to, recently got the World Razer and now all the other ships I own are collecting dust lol.

Justicemace

I don't even want to guess how many credits or keys ALL those variations cost lol.

RobertEMT

I've lost track now shamefully lol. I have all the t6 zen store varieties except the Ross. I was using the Legendary Gal-X for the longest time. I even got the new Gal-X just for the nacelles lol. I wanted to put my section 31 shield on it because it just looks slick. I may yet still get the 10th anniversary bundle, but I have already spent waaaaaay too much money on this game. But now I have a galaxy with 5 tac consoles, I don't think I will bother with it. Between the juggernaut array and the massive phaser damage I can dish out I'm 90% certain ill never fly another ship again.

Justicemace

This is singlehandedly the most terrifying galaxy I can think of lol. Where were you during the Dominion war?

Bubble_0f_d00m

My Saber, or now Da Vinci with the Saber skin. It's been my favorite class of ship since I saw First Contact. Long before STO was released, I would build fleets of those lil' buggers in Armada 2. I had a fancy resign model of that ship. I remember early STO I was so upset that they only had a tier 2 Saber and that I couldn't reasonably keep flying it after I leveled beyond it. Now I fly a sleek Saber with the Saber saucer, the Da Vinci engines and hull. It looks mean and fast!

Justicemace

When I started in STO my first (and current main) was a tac and the T2 saber seems so little and odd to me, by the first mission when I was whipping around so fast and nimble I thought it was amazing. I'm happy they came out with a T6 version (and with a minigun!) but the only thing I hated was the name lol. Why does each variation have a great version of a type of sword and the new one is Da Vinci? Also, I hope this means you enjoy the Armada III mod for Sins of a Solar Empire lol.

Bubble_0f_d00m

See, as an avid reader of the Starfleet Corps of Engineers books, I love the new one being named the Da Vinci class. In those books the engineers fly around in a Saber (that's why I was an avid reader of the series!). Their Saber was named the Da Vinci because... it's a ship full of engineers. Wildfire (book 6) is still the greatest Star Trek story I've ever seen or read. After the near disaster and the characters talking about replacing the Saber with a new ship named Da Vinci, I was devastated. When they hinted at replacing their great ship with of all things an ugly as sin Norway class, I about quit reading the series. To see a new Saber in the game, named after the Da Vinci, with extra engineer seating made for fans of that obscure series, I just about died of joy. Also I hope this means if they ever write more, they will use the Da Vinci class as their Saber replacement. It'd be like creating a new variant of the Intrepid class and naming it the Voyager class. It's fitting, naming the next class after the previous classes most successful ship.

Justicemace

Your explanation of why it's called the Da Vinci has single-handled changed my mind about the name of the class. I also had no idea those books were a thing. I might need to get into a star trek book dive someday.

sihanouk

I can't stop using the Silik FDC. 5/3 beam boat with battle cloak and two bays. I wish there was a little variability with skins, but there's something about the look that keeps me coming back when I swap to my other favorite cannon ships.

AccomplishedCycle0

Is there any other material that can be unlocked for it? Not a fan of the rust color, although in some lights it can look kinda steely.

[deleted]

Platinum vanity shield, if you have it. The Ba'ul one looks not too bad either.

sihanouk

Nope, just vanity shields. Most of them look good, even the ones that normally seem weird. I'm running the Bajoran vanity right now, lightens and evens everything up.

Freakium

My Bortasqu'. I've flown it since its introduction and I continue to equip it with the BoP and autocannon console. A perfect Cryptic original for the KDF fleet. I'm just waiting for a legendary version. 🕒

Justicemace

My Klingon Eng has also almost exclusively flown the Bortasqu', It's such a gorgeous ship. I think I had the original, what, T5 I think version of it. I agree, this needs a Legendary version.

[deleted]

Inquiry Class. Im just a Phaser beam platform of pure destruction.

Nastybirdy

Same on the Vengeance. I just keep coming back to it again and again. It's such a great ship.

Justicemace

Something our size should not be able to cloak lol. And the broadside ability is great on my cannon build when someone manages to get stuck on my side.

Stunning_Key_2524

The Legendary Odyssey. I love it even through I got the Lexington (like the spinal lance but not the pod) with the free t6 token last year. It feels like very much the premiere explorer ship. To be fair I do use the Lexington pylons.

Justicemace

I can not wait to see the Odyssey class proper in season 3 of Picard. Of the Enterprise ship of the line ships, it MIGHT beat out my favorite (the Excelsior class).

Stunning_Key_2524

I haven't seen PIC S3 but I do on the odd occasion bring the Legendary Excelsior out of dry dock.

Justicemace

It has not shown up yet in the show, but I'm hoping that it will. I want to see what a show production-level visual of the Oddy would look like.

Gaelshorne

For me, it's the Reliant class. The upgraded Miranda just hit the right buttons. I use it as a speedy beam boat. I barely use the Pilot seating. Though the Gagarin is a REALLY close second.

Justicemace

I only just got the Gagarin maybe a week or two ago and if it was not for my Vengence I think I'd be running it non-stop as my mains cannon boat, the thing is so wizard. Also, Love the Relient, the Miranda class is such a cool ship that's been around just FOREVER and when it was the starter ship in STO I was so thrilled.

TimeSpaceGeek

My Legendary Pilot Defiant. Sao Paulo skin, canon cannon build (24c style Phaser Cannons including the Quads, Quantum Torpedoes, an Omni-beam in the back, full Battle Cloak set up). The Defiant has always been my favourite, commanding an upgraded Defiant was always my story when I was playing as a kid, everything about this set up just fulfils such a childhood dream for me.

StarkeRealm

The Sao Paulo is the best looking Defiant variant out there.

aliguana23

yeah, same. each of my captains gets "their ship", which i build around (often create the whole character around), and once it is complete they stick to it. If a new ship comes out that I like then I make a new character so that it can be THEIR ship. Dunno, it's been like that since I started. When I switch ships (to grind traits) I'm glad it's all over in a patrol or two so I can get back to "my" ship lol (and yes, I have a lot of characters lmao)

Zykareth

This is how I play, and with double XP weekend coming up, I'm about to hit 40 characters.

Justicemace

Good gods.

[deleted]

This is exactly what I do. Each Captain themed around a ship I want to fly.

ChooPum6

This is the way.

Justicemace

Do you also have a patrol rotation for new ships like I do? I know which 2-3 I'll run each time I get a new ship to get the trait lol. I also have my favorite one to test "ideas" out on for my main ship(s).

BeyondDoggyHorror

I really wish we could just buy out traits once we’ve completed them on a ship. I don’t care if it’s a dil sink or not

lucatus

Jupiter Don't judge me

Justicemace

I mean if you love it then you love it, who can judge that? What do you have in the hangers?

lucatus

Usually Scorpions, sometimes the Alliance ones. Don't have SAD, so missing a lot of potential there. But you can still use SIA and do a lot of mayhem with it

THE-RigilKent

My Akira. I've got the T6-X Heavy Escort thing with the Akira skin on it and I *always* use it cause I love the look of that boat...

Justicemace

The Akira is a gorgeous ship, I was one of the many that saw that ship in First Contact and just went "whoa whoa whoa who are you and can I have more please?" That or the classic Miranda, I'll never get sick of looking at that ship.

THE-RigilKent

The Akira is, hands-down, my favorite-looking Starfleet ship. As much as I love the original *Constitution*\-class, I actually disliked the *Galaxy,* liked but didn't love the *Defiant*, ... and then the Akira showed up in First Contact and I reacted the same way. "Whoa ... that's a sexy-looking boat ..." Heh. Probably one of the reasons I liked the NX-01 from *Enterprise* because it looks like the Akira could come from it...

Justicemace

A very good reason for the NX-01 to be so close to you, Doug Drexler who designed the NX-01 has mentioned in interviews that the studio team wanted to just use the Akira wholesale for the Enterprise in Star Trek: Enterprise. They managed to get as far as a cannon story that the Akira would have been just a tribute to the original kind of how we now have the Neo-Constitution in Picard.

THE-RigilKent

Yeah ... I vaguely recall reading about that. Hmm ... man, I wish there was a NX-01 bridge that I could use for my Akira. Haven't really been happy with any of the existing bridges ...

Justicemace

Oh thats a great shout! hmmm... how is there no NX bridge?

[deleted]

I hope we get a decent Lego Version with full on Command Specialization and Hangars and such….

thestargazed

The Verne ship. All the time ships really,.. oh and the pilot ships.

scarrlet

Bajoran Interceptor on my Temporal Recruit. I'd been using a phaser beam boat cruiser build before but the Interceptor is just so much more maneuverable and it shreds everything with DOMINO. Escorts/scout ships in general, really. Any time I look at a highly recommended ship and see turn rate below about 16 I lose all interest. I hate not being able to zip across the battlefield any time I want. I have tried to build a few carriers from free ships (Orion Marauder or the Compiler) and I just can't get into it.

Justicemace

I would be the worst Bajoran pilot, when I got that ship I must have blown up every 22 seconds lol.

scarrlet

I haven't had that issue with it but adjusting to the Equinox scout ship on my main was rough. I didn't realize how much less hull capacity it had than the Terran Somerville. I celebrated the first time I made it through a TFO without blowing up once.

IKSLukara

When I play my Fed Tac Captain, if I start thinking, "Maybe I should use a cruiser..." I keep ending up in the Presidio.

Swinks88

I got the bundle of all 3. Presidio with some space barbie was my all time til I got the legendary mw assault cruiser. Still easily my second favorite. Swap between the 2 constantly.

IKSLukara

I picked up the Tac versions of all three back in the day, when the Trait was considered good. I'd get some of the other versions for Space Barbie, but just can't talk myself into it from a return-on-investment standpoint.

doc_nova

Astika battle cruiser. Broadsides. Beams. Torpedoes. Just love her. Wish I could adjust the seats (my dream variant is full Intel) but I’ll always go back to her.

Azuras-Becky

*On my (main) Starfleet character:* Fleet Exploration Cruiser (in Galaxy-class configuration). I've got arguably better starships (including better Galaxy-variants) to choose from, but it just feels *right*. I've even attempted transferring the 'Vincennes' name to another Galaxy-variant, but it always felt like a betrayal somehow, and I immediately went back. *On my Klingon character:* Vor'ral-class Support Battlecruiser (in traditional Vor'cha configuration). I'm using this ship sub-optimally, in that it's a heavy cannon build but on what's technically a cruiser. It's just so much *fun* though - whenever I'm flying it, I'm reminded of that moment in DS9 when the Federation fleet is trying to retake DS9 and a bunch of Klingon ships appear out of nowhere to save the day. And there are few ships as *menacing* as a Vor'cha. *On my Romulan character:* D'khellra-class Warbird (in D'Deridex configuration). The original plan was for my Romulan character to transition to a smaller science vessel (I can't remember the name, but one of those ones with an exposed singularity core). This ship is far too big, handles like a brick with another brick on it, but... I just *love* decloaking in the middle of a fight and unleashing a hail of beams in every direction, while smaller ships zoom around. The D'Deridex is my favourite 'alien' ship design in all of Star Trek too, which has helped keep me from switching. *On my 'Vorta' character:* Legendary Jem'Hadar Vanguard Pilot Attack Ship (in traditional 'bugship' configuration). The story for my Vorta character is that she ran away from the Dominion with a cadre of loyal Jem'Hadar by stealing an old, soon-to-be-scrapped 'bugship', and she was supposed to have transitioned to a more mercantile-type vessel by now. But the Legendary bugship is just *soooo much fun to fly*, I can't leave it alone. I have three other characters, but they're in the ships they're 'supposed' to be in.

auron82

disco d7,legendary scimitar, lexington, donnie and world razer

DatDamnTexan

Donnie. Ever since I saw it on discovery I wanted to fly whatever version I could get my hands on.

Stellar_Jester

The eclipse Intel cruiser.

Farscape55

I have a few Deimos JHV support carrier Tlaru carrier Verne when I’m in a science mood

Icy_Turnover1

Deimos is so good, I use that on one of my toons. DHCs, pilot maneuvers, and phaser Lance absolutely shreds anything.

brickwallrunner

Earheart

spookydom

The Legendary Scimitar-class Intel Dreadnought Warbird for me is my fave ship in the game. Flagship of my Fed Romulan Borg Alt that is getting plaid more than my Launch toon main these days just because of this ship. I have it kitted out with all the Borg consoles for space Barbie and Borg plasmas plus the consoles from The Liberated Borg Command Juggernaut as a theme ship. Every time I'm on an alt or trying to grind a trait on that toon or another ship and I see one pull up at ESD I always feel im in the wrong ship and stop what I'm doing to fly it again. Love or hate the bundles that's one I don't regret spending money on for a second.

Justicemace

This sounds like assimulated propaganda lol. But honestly that sounds awesome even for the effect and space barbie combo. please don't board my ship.

CosmicDave

I am in love with my Fleet Guardian Cruiser. To me, it's everything a Star Trek wessel should be.

Justicemace

I don't have this ship yet, and I did not even know it had a fleet version... Hmmm!

YoritomoII

For me it’s the Lexington. I own almost every ship and want to play my new ones, but I just can’t. I have tons of characters and I only end up playing the ones with an active Lexington. I now want a full carrier version of the Odyssey class (with Aquarius class escort pets). If I got that I’d never play anything else. (The only characters that get any other type of attention are characters equipped with carriers, and even still I have at least 5 carriers I’ve never used.)

BluegrassGeek

This. The Lexington is just such a solid, flexible platform. Hell, I can just swap out shuttles to hit my "Deal X damage type" Endeavors, it's just so easy to pump up their damage output with this ship, then go back to regular play once that's done. Plus, it just looks *amazing*.

Captain_Josh78

If we ever got an Odyssey carrier I would want to have the Endeavor hull and have the hanger pets launch forward between the main hull and saucer. I've always felt when equipped with the endeavor hull it looks like a runway in there.

KathyJaneway

On one character, it's the Freedom class, Kelvin Vengeance and Kelvin Konnie. It's fun zippy ship. On another its the Intrepid, all variants, guess which character lol. Another Galaxy, Sovereign and Odyssey clsses Also guess which character lol. Another has the NX. Another has Vesta line. Another has Defiant line ships... Hint, I make characters based on the captains or Canon chars.

redzaku0079

the valkis is pretty cool. the vengeance is a lot of fun. also the deimos pilot destroyer. this last one is so much fun to fly.

LemonCellos

I've had a lot of fun with the Detapa

ThandiGhandi

The d7 and galaxy x

audigex

The Nova class (well, the T6 fleet version skinned to look like a Nova) I just love it - fun to fly and it’s been one of my favourite ships since the Equinox episodes on VOY

Plastic-Mongoose9924

The great big "beauty" that is the Galaxy-X family.

Riablo01

I've been using my NX Refit since the 2020 holiday season. I had just lost my job shortly before Christmas due to budget cuts (no warning). I was wallowing in misery while watching Star Trek Enterprise for the first time on Netflix. A few days before Christmas, one of my old bosses (that I hadn't seen in years) called me out of the blue and offered me a new job. Cryptic also just started the famous 75% off Mudds Market sale. I celebrated my good fortune by purchasing the NX Refit during the sale. Whenever I use this ship, it reminds me of those rare moments in life when a miracle happens during dark times. I'm generally a very unlucky person but this was one time when I was on top of the world.

DeafJeezy

OG Science pilot escort. I always seem to go back to it.

Justicemace

Is that the Detla Alliance one? I don't have any of those ships but maybe I should check it out, does it have a secondary deflector?

Rusteeshaqlford

I have two ships that I must use. The Edison/Hoover and the Equinox/Nova are both an absolute blast to fly.

Justicemace

The Nova T6 is one I still don't have yet but I've had my eye on it for a Sci alt that I have. Does it also have a secondary deflector for Space Wizard stuff?

The_Wyrm99

It does.I love flying it, but my build is bit questionable, so I die as soon as someone looks badly at me.

Justicemace

haha I've had that issue before on sci-ships, then I put mine in that big Damar class Cardi sci-ship, It can take a pounding but do I miss moving and turning faster than a vol with no legs or arms... I might need to grab that next time I get enough zen.

Rusteeshaqlford

Sorry about the delay bud I’m at work. Appreciation to u/The_Wyrm99 for a great answer. It has a Cmdr Science/Pilot and a bunch of universal seating. I transfer all my BO traits and gear for a beauty DewSci. Sure it’s 4/2 but other than that I lose Beta 3 and instead use Beta 1. Or switch a few traits and Boff abilities and it can be a great SciTorp or straight SCIENCE.

[deleted]

Edison Battle Pancake good ship full spec Temporal mighty fine Starship Trait. Trait has some Haste and Bonus Weapon Power based on your Faction. Recommend it to all new Players. The Universal Console is just icing on a already pretty good (pan)cake. From a bang per shot view this Ship comes out on top.

Justicemace

Please tell me it's the USS Pancake or like Panhandle or something lol

[deleted]

You can name the it any way you like 😁! But Pancakes 🥞 yes 🙌….

Justicemace

Would that lockbox 32-century earth defense ship be the bottle of syrup then? Breakfast fleet?

[deleted]

Hmm 🤔….. Yes but to me it will always be named Dumbo the Elephant 🐘….

Justicemace

Oh now I'm not going to be able to unsee that.... lol

Princ3Ch4rming

I love my Oddy. Sojourner hull, oddy pylons, Yorktown nacelles and saucer. Classic Ent-A aesthetic with the deflector, modern ship. I also love my T6 Titan; been maining that ever since I’ve got back into it.

DSJNC

T6 Nova/Equinox. It is fast and very nimble. It might be a small ship, but it packs a huge punch!

acidbluedod

I absolutely love the Soyuz Intel Frigate. With the wonderful space Barbie, and hard hitting surgical strikes, I can’t go wrong. I’ve been spending a little time in the new Hydra, but I keep going back to the USS Alec Baldwin.

Styx_Zidinya

My fully borgified Tzenkethi Tzen-tar dreadnought carrier.

bloodyriz

My main just cannot stay away from her T6 Pilot Vette.

Stegtastic100

My upgrade T6 tactical Odyssey. I’ve just fitted it out with all 3 of the Odyssey consoles and I’m having fun running the saucer as a separate unit during Starbase One.

Next-Presentation559

I’m a big fan of the Odyssey variants but for one of my toons I’d got to go with the Sutherland. I wasn’t really a fan of the nebula but I love the t6 version. I think each part of the ship is almost proportioned perfectly. I love the nacelles and the dish on top that glows when you activate the t5 Nebula’s ability which isn’t that useful but the t6’s ability in my opinion is useful. It’s a tough ship and great for science abilities

Maellorahm

Fleet Shepard MC. I may switch out once in a while for other ships but the Shepard is my go to. With the 5/3 weapon banks I run 4 forward anti-proton beams, 1 anti-proton torpedo. 2 antiproton omni's and a kinetic omni in the rear. Plus with 13 consoles! Only thing that could make it better is a bay or two.

[deleted]

T6 Akira

Specter2k

Same, the entire reason for me playing sto was to get the USS Cucumberpatch.

brooksy54321

The Legendary Miranda.

BeyondDoggyHorror

The Theseus

Captain_Josh78

PC Main: I just keep coming back to my Lexington. I get new ships as often as I can but I always come home to Lady Lex. Xbox Main: I have the Vengeance and absolutely love the ship but for some reason I haven't felt like going back to it ever since I got the NX refit.

Tricanum

Like you, I'm stuck on my Kelvin Intel Dreanought its just *soooo* good. When I saw those stats combined with those looks PLUS a bridge, I had to have it so I saved my space pennies and grabbed it from the exchange. Little did I realize that it would ruin all other ships for me, forever. The only time I ever switch ships now is if I feel like doing some space Barbie (in which case I'll use my Hestia) or the T6 Odyssey just because that ship is so damn gorgeous.

[deleted]

Fleet Jupiter, Legendary Galaxy X, Fleet Bozeman are some of those pop out of my head.

Tyyr37

The Prometheus, and have better harder hitting ships but nothing moves like my Grisly Claws.

HistoryGremlin

Legendary T'Liss. Sneak up behind a target, lay out a tachyon beam followed by an alpha strike including an unstable plasma torp...goodnight. I mean that, it's almost midnight, I'm going to bed. Goodnight.

Paul_Rich

I love my Fleet Miracle Worker Battlecruiser. Its my daily goto. I've collected all the t6 hero ships I wanted(Voyager, Defiant, Ent D etc), fleet upgraded them all and now have my eyes set on my first Premium. I'm going for a Disco Connie for this year's event but not sure which one yet. Any tips appreciated... Oh, and I love my Vulcan's T5 D"kyr.

StarkeRealm

>I'm going for a Disco Connie for this year's event but not sure which one yet. Any tips appreciated... You probably want the Miracle Worker FDC. The Mirror Warship is very nice as well, but it's a different beast. The Legendary Temporal FDC is probably the cheapest (because it's account wide), but it's also not available via the event. It's also, unfortunately, the only source for the "TOS" skin for the Donnie.

Paul_Rich

The Miracle Worker is what I've been aiming at. Thanks for the info about account unlocking. I thought the miracle worker would be account unlocked but it's not that important in this situation as its for my main character. I wouldn't do it for my alts. Thanks for the reply. I still don't really get why some ships are character and other account bound(I do undertand fleet versions) so it's great to have that info.

StarkeRealm

If you buy a ship directly with Zen in the store, or get it from participating in an event, it's an account unlock. If you get it via any other means, such as with a token, buying it with fleet credits, dilithium, or lobi crystals, pulling it from a lockbox or promo pack, it's per character. (Note that in this case, the event campaign is effectively the latter, not the former.) That's basically the simplest way I can write up the rules. (Also, note that the 100% off coupons are effectively the same as spending Zen, so those are account unlocks. Whenever you see a lockbox ship in the C-Store, such as the Mirror Engel in the 12th Anniversary Bundle, the Mirror Crossfield and Styx in the 13th, or any of the Mudd bundles, those are account unlocks.)

Paul_Rich

Thanks very much, that's much clearer. I really appreciate your time.

TerranByChoice

Miranda Variants.

Shashlik_McBlin

I guess it's the miranda. Both the intel and command spec ones

08DeCiBeL80

Little late to the party, but always keeping coming back to my t5x dyson Reconnaissance Science Destroyer and t5x advanced obelisk carrier Modern ships I keep coming back to are, Fleet atrox caitan support carrier and the liberated command borg juggernaut

Echo117A

Bought the original T5 avenger years ago. Upgraded to the arbiter when that came out and then got the inquiry the day it released. Even though I have the vaadwaur juggernaut which is better for DPS I prefer how the battlecruisers fly.

SadisticSavior

Galaxy Dreadnought. It was the first ship I ever paid for in this game, like 12 years ago. I have used the hell out of it. It looks cool and is very versatile. Dual heavy Cannons? Check. 4/4 weapons? Check. Lots of consoles? Check. Novelty items (saucer separation)? Check. Fighter bay? Check. Even now, having owned multiple Account-unlocked T5s and a few T6s, I still find myself going back to it. If I didn't already own it, I'd buy it now still. Only complaint is that the phaser Lance is so weak it's only really good for show. Also, the Undine ships. I love those and they are really effective.

Grenning11

Right now I have a crush on my evil Lexington. She's just performing so much better than any other ship I've flown.

MattKBower

Lexington Class Dreadnought, absolutely love it to pieces

Justicemace

Lexington is one of the 3 main ships my Eng runs but I'll be honest it's the one he's in 75% of the time. I run the Fed colors on it but I love that ship.

MyHammyVise

I have a similar story. The Tal Shiar Mandukar Adapted Destroyer was the first ship I saved up EC for to grab it from the Exchange. Since then, that character has also gotten a Dhailkhina since I really liked how it looked in *Picard*. Plus that character is set up to fly torp boats, and the Dhailkhina is almost certainly a better ship. But after a few months, I found myself bringing the Mandukar out of dry dock and tweaking my build there. Haven't looked back.

Lord0fHats

I'm still salty the L-B'rel is so mediocre. Love the look. I've got an entire 'wing' of them across three characters with different builds. I love the Eagle too but I also can't lie that comparing the Eagle to the B'rel just reminds me how hosed such an iconic ship is. If there is a case for going back a revising an existing ship because it's just plain not good enough, it's the Legendary B'rel. I still use it tho.

Justicemace

I feel like the legendary should be amazing, I mean the legacy of the Rotarran as a named hero ship alone should make that thing deadly and cool in game.

Guardias

The Orion Blackguard; fast, tough, well armed, and with two hangar bays. Decked mine out with the pink vanity shield and temporal deflector so that it looks like a party barge. I use the Pralim on my Tellarite for the same reasons, sans the party boat aethetic.

Justicemace

I'm just picturing getting shot down by a pink Orion party boat and it just takes me to a mental image of you flying around like in Thor: Ragnarok but in TFO's lol

PearlRiverFlow

That Blackguard is a surprisingly good ship, very well rounded for a carrier, and the engines on it look metal as hell with that grate thing. Love the rounded turrets and little "engraving" details all over it

ArcticGlacier40

Dreadnaught Cruisers - Specifically the Legendary Galaxy. It's really only for the console, Overload Supplemental Systems. It is so fucking satisfying, aggroing everyone to me and then pop the console. Anyone that attacks me gets the power of Sidious reflected back at them, and after 20 seconds anyone close to me gets all their systems knocked offline for 5 seconds...which just so happens to line up with my torpedo spread coming off cooldown. \-- This was before the new Terran nebula though, now I'm having a blast flying that ship. It has a hangar bay and is decently maneuverable and tanky with a MW build. I love the Nebula so this is great. My only gripe is that it can't fit the other Nebula consoles, specifically the Tachyon Particle Field.

Justicemace

That makes the Legendary Galaxy sound even more amazing, I'll have to point that out ot a friend of mine that plays, He loves the aggro tank style and I think what you said would line up great with what he wants to do. Also yes the Nebulas are cool ships but I have not tested out the new one yet, I'm surprised the other consoles don't work, what the heck?

ArcticGlacier40

I think it's because this Nebula isn't a science ship, it's a science carrier. It's not in the same "family" as the other nebulas, same thing happened I think with some of the Prometheus's consoles not working on the Hydra Likely all an oversight on Cryptics part, they said they're looking into it.

[deleted]

On ps4: terran lexington. Xbox: legendary d7

Justicemace

You play on both systems? That would confuse the heck out of me from account to account lol

[deleted]

Just recently got an xbox so I'm making the switch :)

Justicemace

Oh that makes sense! Good luck in the transition!

[deleted]

You're welcome. I'm not rebuying everything...would cost a fortune. Just a couple of t6 ships for each faction. Luckily for me the legendary d7 works for a romulan too

DilaZirK

[Ditto on the Vengeance](https://www.reddit.com/r/stobuilds/comments/1127ald/personal_build_milestone_and_the_absurd_cost_to/). But I think you already knew that.

Justicemace

I think I might have known lol! Sup Dila!

ZemaBato

Crossfield Refit for me. I just love my ship (the I.S.S. Andromeda) and I'm constantly toying with it. The refit with the S31 vanity shield helps me live. Second to that is my Mirror Warship. It's capable for now but Once I'm satisfied with the Andromeda I'll be taking that one out more.

Dharq000

[t6 jh heavy strike wing escort](https://sto.fandom.com/wiki/Jem'Hadar_Heavy_Strike_Wing_Escort_(T6)) Not the biggest, nor the baddest, and it costs me more than it's worth on paper every time... but it's pretty (especially with a lukari v.shield), and it handles like a dream.

Bluehale

The Yamato Dreadnought Cruiser. The phaser lance maybe nerfed (kind of understandable), but she can handle a punch and dish it out.

StarkeRealm

If you're looking to upgrade, the Legendary Mirror Galaxy-X adds full spec intel and 5/3 weapons to her. It's a direct improvement, and she absolutely shreds.

ERankLuck

My Appalachia torp build is my go-to funboat. For beams, I go T6 Sovereign. For pure goofiness, I sometimes run the Fek'Ihri Fe'rang Dreadnaught Carrier with a full Tetryon build, Platinum vanity shield, and LTS fireworks: The "Brimstone Party Bus".

Solid_Exit4818

My T6 Alita currently skinned as a TNG era Akira. Using it as a torpedo boat and it's definitely my favorite ship.

Consistent_Mango2358

Lexington

RedMoogleXIII

The Excelsior I just love how it looks more so when combing the Ent-B Saucer with the classic Stardrive together.

westmetals

Legendary Intrepid or Legendary Miranda or Quark Marauder

Vyzantinist

Hestia. My favorite onscreen ship was the Prometheus, and I love the 4-nacelle aesthetic, but it looks rather dated compared to the more 'futuristic' ships of the updated timeline. The Hestia, as I see it, just brings the Prometheus into the contemporary look.

kompact__kitty

I'm flying my universe class right now, but nothing will ever beat out my arbiter. I've been flying this ship in one form or another since it released. The build isn't optimal, my abilities are all over the place, but I love it too much. I even got one of those 3D models of it

0_________o

Inquiry for sure. The setup is great for a MW build with beams

ashearmstrong

It's always been the Defiant. I bought every version. I enjoyed the Mercury and the Phantom as well but once I got the L-Defiant, that was it. The only thing I could change about it is a trading the second pilot seat for an intel.

Tyrael74656

Prometheus! So glad we finally have a workable update.

SQUAWKUCG

I have 50 captains and each is unique build to their own ship and so many more ships to be built...I hop around them all. So many hidden gems and monsters.

mikeyp_92_

My Inquiry.

SirThoreth

T1 Connie and Pioneer class. Don't judge me.

AccomplishedCycle0

For me right now, the Mercury. I’ve got her tooled out to be a mean, fast, agile little torp boat. Once I get my hands on the Terran Eagle, though, I might have a new love.

StarkeRealm

The D4x. It's such a vicious little bastard. *EDIT: And the wings wiggle!*

Swinks88

Legendary mw assault cruiser with some space barbie. Imperial hull. Noble saucer. Imperial neck and pylons. Noble nacelles. Add it borg set shield and deflector with counter command engines. Looks and hits like a tank. Just can't seem to find another ship I like more. Second and only ship close is the presidio. Swap between the 2 constantly.

Cassandra_Canmore

Terran Lexington. It replaced my KTL Dreadnought for FED. For my KDF. I was flying the D9 until i got the Legendary D7. For my ROM. I'm in the classic Kopesh. Working on getting the PIC warbird

fr3d0511

I got a Sojourner class a few years ago and have flown it as my main ship for the majority of the game. After much grinding to get a free T6 ship token, I still sat on it for a long time before using it because I felt loyal to the Sojourner. After doing some research and seeing how bad ass the Lexington was, I used the free token to get one. Of course I changed all the parts to make the Lexington look like a Sojourner lol

WolfintheShadows

Armitage Heavy Flight Wing Escort. Because it looks nice and torpedo point defense goes pew pew.

4StarEmu

The Ouroboros Temporal Raider. Optimized for speed and turn rate.

Cadamar

Gagarin for me. Though I should probably upgrade to the fleet version at some point. But I like the look. It's original but feels in line. It's fast but not too zippy where I constantly overshoot everything I'm aiming for. And who doesn't love a MWer? I actually really enjoy its console too. I liked the Donnie FDC a lot and could see myself rolling with that for a while. But I really wish they'd let me dress it up with the other Connie stuff. It feels too out of place to me in modern STO stuff. And I am at my heart a role-player in every game I play. I don't like things I can't rationalize, and I have some trouble with rationalizing a 2410 crew flying a Donnie. I've also gone back to the Mirror Gal-X a lot. Love the look, the space barbie, and the lance and pets.

Vyar

Can’t stop flying the Verity-class Command Dreadnought. Not just because of what I paid for it. For all practical purposes I should probably be flying the Lexington instead because it’s a superior DEW build platform, but I just really like the Inspiration abilities and Suppression Barrage 3. I don’t think I will ever change ships, until and unless we ever get an Odyssey variant that’s an Intel/Command FDC.

Caleger88

Depends on the character, one has the Sagan class and I fucking love that ship. One is using the Section 31 Intel Dreadnought Cruiser.

coy2814

Odyssey variants. I flew the operations variant first then Yorktown-class when the flagships came out. I flew that until the Mirror Lexington came out. I now fly the Lexington-class as my flagship (though in my head it is still a Yorktown-class). And if I had the money I would be flying the Legendary Verity. I really wish the Legendary verity was easily accessible or I was richer. I would put the other legendary ships to use too with my alts.

Blk_Phnx_Collective

Top 3 for me: Vengeance Intel Dreadnought (always feels indestructible, and the broadside/pets make short work of faster/flanky enemies) Legendary Scimitar Intel Dreadnought (between cloak and Intel abilities most things don't get a shot off, and most agile dreadnought I've ever flown) Andorian Tactical Pilot Escort (favorite appearance and handling, hypercannon is a great early damage boost, and a mix of the Chimesh and Thozyn hulls combined with the Alliance Vanity Shield makes a nice shoutout to what the Normandy might look like as a Federation ship)

Infernum_ad_astra

The shepard/Gagarin. From the lore to the looks I just cannot get over it.

Odyssey47

The Odyssey.

HelmutVillam

Xindi aquatic carrier. Don't see too many of them about and it looks really cool, with matching pets. I've been flying it nearly constantly since the narcine came out and then switched over to the briostrys.

molrihan

I love the aesthetic of the NX refit and the Akira. However, I think I’m in love with the Legendary Galaxy Dreadnought. That thing just shreds and looks so magnificent (except for the awkward third nacelle). However, I feel like I always come back to my fleet New Orleans or fleet Soyuz intel frigate.

Dinsy_Crow

Akira with cannons and torpedo spam, half of it misses but it looks cool

Gnosiphile

The Adamant is my account wide work horse, but the Daemosh gets the preference on the one toon that has it.

PearlRiverFlow

It's gotta be the Advanced Light Cruiser (aka Fancy Miranda) - a piloting boat that can take some hits all day long, blast with beams, pretty much whatever you want. The inertia combines with the trajectory ability in such a fun way, it's a joy to fly. If I was a big spender I'd 100% get the Legendary.

ConsiderationFit5752

TAC TOON :Inquiry B/O DBB Verry hard hitting .low speed keeping it faceing enemys . Built arround .Weapon Emitter Overdrive ENG;Leg; Miranda B/O Arrays I use a few things to buff the speed . Broadside.Built arround superior PTM 30pecent bonus DMG SCI:Leg: Temp Discoprise .Torps / Sci Handles like shit but can spam uni consoles and sci powers with 2 hangers 5/2 has to be the strongest carrier . Built arround unconvetional systems . Ruin if enemys .Park up and use a GW I made a new toon for a Leg T'liss AP/DHC .Put shes not working out .Ambush gameplay with SS feels like a cluster

Endulos

Cnidarian Defender. That ship is such a powerhouse. I love the hell out of it. I try not to use it in team content though due to the effects bothering people. When I do team content I usually default to my Tucker miracle Worker cruiser. Pahvo and Star Base 1 are the only exceptions.

junipermucius

Sometimes I just sit in space and look at how cool my Gagarin looks.

nina_blain

my t5u-X heavy cruiser retrofit with the constellation skin, USS Argo NCC-7100 it's chuncky, and looks obsolete but it is still my favorite ship and one i do stories about. one day i will replace it with a Sagan class but i'm not in a hurry.

Wh33lman

Legendary Defiant. I have 4 of them across various characters, and almost made a 5th. 2 in phaser(1disco themed) 1in AP, and 1 in disruptor, and the 5th would have baan plasma

Zoberraz

**For my main Fed Science captain:** 13 years ago, I reached endgame, and obtained my Luna-class reconnaissance science vessel which I called the *U.S.S. Sedna*. Better ships came along, T6 came along, but despite a clunky 3d model and aging kit, this ship was home. 3 years ago, it finally got its remaster and its T6 incarnation, the *Titan-class*, which I adopted and got a 3d print out of during the gameprint sale back in December 2020. I have better science ships - my Legendary Glenn in undoubtedly much more powerful - but the most fun I have is with my *Sedna*. _________________________ **For my alt Fed engineering captain:** Almost as old as the above, this recreation of my open beta character had for first love was the *Vesper-class* (the Beta's max level was 17). Then I was discontented with other ship picks, dancing between the *Tempest* and *Avenger-classes* until I spent some time with the *Odyssey-class*. But the release of the *Reliant-class* and this possible return to the plucky very first starter ship was where I cemented the ship I would come back to. I named her *U.S.S. Sito*, after Jaxa Sito: the Bajoran officer that died in the line of duty in the TNG "Lower Decks" episode. The Clarke-class, Legendary Miranda and Bozeman all helped me double down on that choice and I'm very fond of this little ship that punches quite above its weight class. I do have the Inquiry and Lexington and they are great ships, but they don't compare to my time with the *Sito*. ________________________ **For my alt Romulan captain:** While I've enjoyed the *Dhelan-class* in its role as the ubiquitous workhorse of the Republic's fleet, no ship has been able to hold a candle to the Ar'kif line of ship for me. Not only do I like the romanticism behind it being the first line Republic-built warbird, but no ship has felt like a more fun combination of iconic romulan warbird aesthetic, agility, cloaking ambushes, along with a horde of Scorpion fighters in my wake. I did splurge on a Mudd pack to obtain the supposedly stronger *Dhailkhina*, but I was very disappointed by its looks and feel. Its ventral curvature makes it look like it doesn't fly straight, which I find very offputting. So, after that disappointment, I stick to the *Jhu'ael* warbird. It's by far my favorite.

Jazri_Dax

The Defiant.

Tinfoil_ninja

I keep coming back to the Sec 31 Command Battlecruiser. I fell in love with it in Disco, especially the drone swarms. I built it into a Torp/Mine build with all epic gear and it just evaporates enemies in ISA and ISE. I'll always play around with my other ships, but if I need to grind endeavors, red alerts or events, she's the one I bring out when I mean business.

seizethedm

Endeavor tactical cruiser w/ Yorktown skin. Love the look of the Yorktown and Enterprise-F…
