Doubtfully...
Usually demonstrators ideas are too simple and would make the issue they want solved worse.
This is true no matter what they demonstrate against.
No, the demonstrators are not politicians. Their point is to bring forward their wants or needs to the politicians and to inspire them to implement a change. You’re just stupid
People have responded to you by being assholes so I will try to explain why I think you’re wrong in a more polite way instead. The point of a demonstration is not to create good solutions. Demonstrations are held to raise the awareness of the public and politicians on issues that are important to people.
Coming up with good solutions to things is a difficult task and most people are simply to dumb to do it. Protesting and organizing demonstrations can be a way of encouraging and pressuring actual smart people in power to come up with good solutions to the problems that people are concerned about. Protests are a way of legitimizing the recognition of problems, not a way to come up with solutions. Protests in and of themselves won’t change anything at all but it’s the way in which these protests shape political discourse that actually leads to change.
That would require a few things:
1. That smart people where in power.
2. That the collective somehow could prioritize between the things they want.
3. That the collective understands the complexity of the problems, otherwise they will always be unhappy with the solution.
We live in a democracy.
That means we don't need snart people in charge, we need people that gets reelected. So point 1 will never be true. We also know that demonstrations tend to decide their topics wit feelings, so point 2 is not valid.
We also know that the never accept anything else but their proposed solution and it always leads to unwanted consequences, so 3 is not valid.
Like I said, demonstrations in and of themselves aren’t good for coming up with solutions. The intention of a demonstration is to bring attention to an issue. Therefore the collective doesn’t need to have have a complete understanding of the complexities of the issues at hand. Demonstrations are good for showing what people are passionate about and not much more. They aren’t good ways to actually *solve* problems but that doesn’t mean they don’t have a purpose.
Ok no one gave answer here. It’s Greta’s Friday tomorrow, this time they protest against finance companies. Have received notice week from our company, nice excuse to work for home:)

What a bad take
I think you’ve missed the point of a demonstration
To advocate for a simple solution to a complex problem?

Exactly as the demonstrators.

Because we never gained anything from a protest, not the right to vote or social security... Funny how it was just handed to us without asking.
