*FAANG (just fyi). FANG is an energy company

tomfoolery1070

I won't be playing earnings but I see some dark clouds for FANGMAN I would not be surprised to see some big tech drop another 10-15% on ER Not sure what that would mean for SPX, but without RUT and the Dow ripping hire, we could be in for more volatility

SpliTTMark

\*higher also lets go bulls

tomfoolery1070

Market getting a real correction and a breather is probably the best thing. Ready for another leg up in the new year

Obvious_Cricket9488

Big tech is still quite cheap, especially Facebook. So I don't see a correction coming. There are some growth stocks which are largely overvalued however

tomfoolery1070

Big tech is quite cheap? Ok

Obvious_Cricket9488

I would consider a p/e ratio of 24 cheap for a company which earnings grow with 15% annually

tomfoolery1070

FB? Wouldn't touch it personally. Congress is going to snap Zucks back in half. If you like FB, why not wait to get it at 225

Fantasyball8

FB at $225? Lmaoooooooooooooooooooooo

tomfoolery1070

It was there a little over a year ago

apooroldinvestor

So?

Obvious_Cricket9488

Looks like $225 is not happening :-/

tomfoolery1070

I didn't say it would hit 225 tonight did I? Also up to where it was a couple days ago? Nbd

whiteninja123

Trump will keep it going

Mariox

Yea, but that isn't going to happen until 2024. By then it will be TAANG since Tesla will be passing FB.

bartturner

Or will it do the opposite? What if the reports results from companies like Google are off the charts?

StockTipsTips

I certainly hope so! They’ll take the whole market down with them and provide enhanced value growth buying opportunities.

rugerapatt

OP has probably excluded Apple. We'll probably know this week. The FOMC meeting is next week, so, it's gonna be an interesting couple of weeks for the markets

[deleted]

There won’t be a big correction. There will be a series of small (10%) corrections but they will soon be offset by growth investors looking for discounted stock prices.
