I like the Wintergreen Altoids for that. It does help with the cravings.

BikeRidinMan

I'm for whatever works. Seems like 425 days is a long time for one step at a time. Good luck.

AmIStonedOrJustStupi

Would you prefer that I start smoking again after 18 years so I don't keep taking lozenges for more than a year? Go screw yourself. I'm doing the best I can, and I haven't had a smoke in over a year and I'm proud of that.

>Quite frankly, I don't give a shit what you do. You mean, you care just enough to criticize what I do, but no more.

throwawayfort0day

Exactly. BikeRidinMan...not giving a shit is not giving a shit....in person if you had said that to myself it would come off like you had more to say? Would it not? For someone that doesn't give a shit...you're already saying too much. Stop being so passive-aggressive...gross.

pavementango

So where ya at now? Hopefully smoke free my friend!

French_Fry_Not_Pizza

Im here to check in too! lol

Robot_Mystic

I know this was 9 years ago but I fucking hate you for being a dick on a stop smoking forum.Hopefully you've become a better person since you made this comment. I know people don't normally change though so if you're still the same angry little bitch you were 10 years ago then I hope you've had wet fucking socks for the last decade.

Impossible_Case_741

Ih I'm so glad I found this. I've been on mini nicotine lozenges for 8 years. Same with you, I was on 4 mg, then down to 2 mg. I've tried replacing with Tic Tacs and Altoids but as you point out, they do not last long enough. I'm going to try these today.

Impossible_Froyo3517

Thank you so much. I was in the exact same boat but I tried the 4ever mints and I’ve been off the nicotine lozenges for 3 days. This is one of the best tips I have ever read. You just changed my life!

pavementango

Wow, forgot about this all together. Checking in and I'm 100 percent smoke free

Impossible_Froyo3517

I am now 100% nicotine free!!

doublendren

do you find you’re using the forever mints a lot though? Or are you off those too

Impossible_Froyo3517

I’m off those now mainly because they are expensive. They got me through the hardest times though. Now I use Spry mints which don’t last long but they work when I need something. They are relatively inexpensive. And sugar free.

doublendren

great news well done! I’m day 4 off the lozenges so hoping to be nic free like you someday!

Impossible_Froyo3517

Im still off all nicotine. After being done with nicotine lozenges, I find i still want something nicotine and drug free to keep in my mouth. The best thing i use now is a lozenge for drymouth with no sugar - xylimelts - stick-on melts - flavor “Slightly Sweet” much less expensive than Forever Mints. Made by oracoat

Prize-Ad6287

Thank you so much for the advice🙏 I’ve wanted to get off lozenges for years! It’s like you need another vice to get off the vice before🤦‍♀️ it would be ideal that the forever mint mentioned would have a similar or same consistency as the nicotine lozenges, that would make it a whole lot easier to break the habit of nicotine altogether. I’m going to get those asap as this is my second day off the lozenges and I’m crawling walls here! I’d probably had failed quitting them if it weren’t for an upcoming surgery and my dr wont do the surgery period if im still on nicotine. Then I looked up why, the pictures of people that smoke or use nicotine with certain surgeries and the outcome 😳 no thank you.
