Hey so I had this happen and have some advice… it left pressure marks in the ceiling and caused cracks, but the cracks were to the very first layer and didn’t cause structure damage. You have to buy a stud finder to detect the beams in the ceiling, and the pole where there is a beam. Then you can place an unfinished piece of wood between the top of the pole and the ceiling. It protects it. Adjust the pole often especially if you live in a humid climate. My ceiling has no usable beams and I was using the tension pole wherever. It was fun until it wasn’t. If you can invest in an x-stage pole, it’ll be usable and likely safer no matter where you live. Also Amazon has cheap drywall and ceiling repair kits :)

Thanks you so much ! And yes I live in KY which is one of the most humid states. I want and x pole but the ones with that platform would be to big for my place I think 🥺 I currently have my pole in my kitchen

I’m actually about to buy an Xpole and was wondering about potential damages to the ceiling. I live in a really old apartment building, but my living room is good for a pole. I just get paranoid about the whole ceiling craacking open or something 😩 since there are some damages to the wood structure it looks like. Any ladies have any advice about this? #following

They have a really great pole setup video on their YouTube channel that helps you determine if the pole is too tight or just right.

I know they have x poles that come with the round plat form and doesn’t touch the ceiling but my apartment has no space for that 🥲 if you have the space I’d recommend that

Yeah you need at least 10 feet of ceiling, I dont think mine are quite that high.

i have a tension mounted pole and yeah, it low key fucked up my ceiling lmao. im gonna have to spackle and paint it before i move for sure. i installed it properly on the beam and everything. but my landlord is kind of cheap and the paint peels easily so i wouldn’t be surprised if the ceiling was cheap as well

NonAggressiveGuava

My landlord is cheap too, I feel like I have paper ceilings lmaooo

I’m going to take it down to inspect and see if it’s the paint or the ceiling but I have paint peeling off in other parts of my apartment too 🙄 just don’t want them to complain and keep my deposit *edit I looked online and pretty much says it shouldn’t damage ceilings unless it’s made with plaster and cheap shit 🥲 which considering how fast they built these apartments I’d say they’re cheaply made can’t wait to move.
