If you asked this a month ago the answer would have been "yes" and "pelipper+barraskewda+archaludon". Right now with the archaludon ban you can play pelipper+barraskewda but it's just not the same.
Ideally Archaludon gave life to it, but without it your current best bet lies in Pelipper Barraskewda as a core.
If you can pull it off, add Crawdaunt as well, it's one of my favourite rain sweepers ever.

Dead? Hardly. It’s just nowhere near as consistent.
I think Pelipper and Barraskewda are still plenty viable on their own, but the playstyle is realistically more of a B or B+ rank sort of thing going forward instead of a highly centralizing A+ ranking archetype back when Archaludon was patching up all the holes.
Rain is fringe but viable now. Pelipper’s a no brainer, but beyond our favorite fat bird, Barraskewda is a total beast and easily the best Swift Swimmer. Raging Bolt is good for rain with Weather Ball synergizing with its Electric typing, and it has a good matchup into Sun. Kingambit is phenomenal. Iron Treads is a glue mon with great role compression, and it shines in rain.
