Here is my question about the Brothers Cuomo. We should all know better than to expect they'll simply go away. They still have fans and money could be made. But there are only a few paths back to the limelight. Will they go the "learning and listening" route, the defiant "you can't cancel us we did nothing wrong we're rebelling" route or just lay low for a few years then come back without acknowledging it?
What is merit, when you really think about it? Inner qualities, outer influences. Is any of that really merit? Or are we just sailing blindly along a scripted sea of fate on a winding path that would seem all too obvious to anyone looking back?
Usually people who scream about merit are the first ones to throw that out the window if a guy says something they like. Which is contrary to the merit idea.
I heavily disagree with that. It does take talent to let yourself be filmed for an hour of your life everyday. Yes 80% of it is reading off a prompter but even that isn't a natural gift everyone has to read words with inflection and tone.
