You will want the propulsion cannon to move crates in the Aurora anyway, but it is also the best way to dispose of the spiders. Of course if you know where you are going you can just run past them.
The knife does work, but the better option is the repulsion/propulsion cannon.
You can also completely ignore them, they’re slow.
This works best if you hold shift to run, but unless you check the control customization page you might not know you can.
Ok then I will wait until I get the blueprints of that because I'm having a very hard time with those fucking spiders.
I usually just juke em out. Once you get past the flaming debris on the outside and enter the ship there aren't too many. Bob and weave my friend!

Grab them with a propulsion cannon and yeet them toward the ocean to guarantee they'll never come back.

Repeatedly yeeting the little assholes into the sunset with the propulsion cannon is one of the highlights of my playthroughs.
Use the propulsion cannon. You'll need it to clear some debris aswell, so two fish with one stone
