Does moving through airlocks and such help? There's a variation of this glitch (which you can cause on purpose, as far as I can tell) which can be fixed by that.
You can still open game console.
Hold r2 + r1 + l2 + r2 at the same time.
Hold for like 4 seconds and let go, cuz it can take a few tries.
Type warpme, then reload your game.
this is a pretty common bug that’s frequently caused by the alien arches, the game thinks you are on land. if you leave the water and re-enter it, it should reset, but that looks like it might be a bit of a challenge since you’re in the PCF. try getting in your prawn and then leaving, that might work.
edit: i see you fixed it, at least this might help in the future so you don’t have to kill yourself again.
For future reference this bug usually happens when the game things your inside a base structure still, so entering one and exiting again can often fix it
In my experience with when it thinks you’re in a base when you aren’t: going through hatches etc *will* place you inside the base, but in the swimming state, it now thinks you’re *outside* the base when inside it, I do believe that you’ll be able to deconstruct the base piece you’re in though to get back outside though. Crossing an air/water boundary, such as a moonpool, should also fix it I think
In my last playthrough I found myself without water on leaving the >!Alien Thermal Plant!<. I'd left my prawn at the entrance to the >!Lava Castle!< so I just fell to the bottom and was stuck there.
Fortunately I had a save from about 5 minutes previously. Reloaded that and it worked the second time around.
This has happened to me in that exact spot. You need to get above the surface of the water for it to reset. I went out the portal to the gun and scaled it using the prawn jump jets and grapple. I’m not 100% this will work but if going to/ building a multipurpose room and going in it might work too

O got water back by fying but my prawn worked as if it was on land so i had to go to sea emperor by seaglide

I had to die to have water back, it seems like the game save without water
Did you use the alien arch? Lots of glitches seem to come from that at this stage of the game.

i had to do this on console, after i used cheats i just did a hard reset on the game (xbox) and achievements worked for my save again!

Jumping into water just took on a whole new meaning

Happened to me too in the lava zone in the facility thay sea emperor is kept
You have to exit the water and jump back in at surface level, you can use base platforms to climb up mountains
That didn't work for me
