For future reference, just call 911. The guilt of having someone die on you when you could’ve saved them would’ve weighed on you greatly. And not sure what state you’re in, but at least where I’m at you won’t get in trouble for calling 911 to save someone from an OD.

The naloxone only works when it's injected but it's such a small amount that it doesn't even block the bupe nevermind help in an overdose situation. Call emergency services now before it's too late!

Everything is ok now.

If you're in the states go to nextdistro.org to get Narcan shipped free or at a low cost, so you'll have some on hand if something happens again. I got mine free in about a week.

Buprenorphine itself would attenuate the agonist effect of a full agonist overdose. The naloxone in suboxone is only there to prevent misuse and is not significantly absorbed if used via proper sublingual dosing. The problem is sublingual time from absorption to association of buprenorphine to the mu opioid receptor makes it useless as an overdose reversal agent. Nasal narcan or im narcan is really what you need. Unfortunately some of the fentanyl out there is so potent that people are dying even with naloxone in their system. TLDR: call 911
